We were walking in Coronado and decided to check out Nado Republic for a late lunch. I love their seating area and the food here is very delicious! We shared the gnocchi and a pizza. I'll definitely be back!

Made a reservation for 6:45. Arrived a little early and they were able to get us a table. Food was very tasty. We got the brussel sprouts, veal with a side of broccolini & the bucatini amatriciana with a couple meatballs. Ordered a vodka dirty martini with regular olives and it was very cold and yummy. The server we got was very attentive and explained a couple items on the menu we had questions about and stopped by a couple times to make sure we had everything we needed. We sat outside on a perfect summer night and it was amazing to feel that breeze on this warm weather. The place gave me like an European cottage vibe and the details they decorated with, each had their purpose. It was such a cozy vibe. We will def come back and maybe check inside on our next visit.

Absolutely incredible, homemade from scratch Italian food. The ambiance was set as "cozy" on Google reviews but I'd consider it like a lowkey, mom & pop shop with hipster vibes. Ha! Service was incredible by a very kind gentleman whose name I definitely couldn't pronounce properly or spell but he was Italian with a pony! They're so attentive and FAST. Meals are a good size with just so much flavor, you know it's all made with love. Definitely order the bread and you can't go wrong with any pasta. Spinach salad was like a Greek salad but with spinach instead of romaine-- fabulous. Thank you team, keep up the great work!

Food was good. Waiter gave extensive warning about cacio e pepe potentially being too salty because "it's similar to how the dish is in Rome" (...no idea what he was talking about based on my visits to Rome). Both orders were on the pepper side of the spectrum; neither of us thought it was at all salty. Lasagna was rich (as expected). Salads were fresh. Brussels sprouts delicious. Cocktails a bit weak. Ambiance was fine; it was nice to sit outside with the option of heat lamps. They do nickel & dime you quite a bit, thus the loss of a star. "Oh you want prosciutto with the burrata? Sure!" "Let's get you some bread." Well, a few slices of prosciutto are $6 - currently listed on their website's menu as $5. A small sliced baguette (=two bites each for 5 people) is also $6, and it's not even listed on the menu that they charge for bread. Cappuccino? $6. Espresso? $5. Quite the markup... If they want to be more like Europe, sure, make everyone buy mineral water, but include the bread with the meal, have reasonable prices for the mediocre espresso, etc. Also, we were nearly late for our plans due to slow service when it got a bit busy. I put the time we needed to leave by in the reservation on OpenTable weeks ago, but I guess they were too busy up-charging the other patrons.

We were searching for a late-night spot after a stressful holiday evening at Hotel Del and were so glad we found this place. From the moment we walked in, the vibe and ambiance were on point. I ordered a signature drink and the bartender was clearly very skilled. The food was delicious and the whole experience was the perfect ending to an overwhelming night. This place made our trip to Coronado worth it!

Nado Republic has become one of my favorite spots in San Diego! During the weekends you can find the whole place buzzing with customers so make sure to try to have a reservation. From the moment we arrived, the owner and staff welcomed us like family, which instantly set the tone for a wonderful evening. The bartender was fantastic, crafting drinks that perfectly complemented the menu. The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. This is the kind of restaurant where you feel cared for, from service to every bite on your plate. Highly recommend for anyone looking for great food, amazing drinks, and a warm, inviting atmosphere. We have been going to Nado since 2021 and continue to come back for the food and service.

Cute little Italian spot I found and they make their pasta noodles fresh! We didn't have reservations made but we came ahead of the dinner rush so we were able to get seats right away. Service was great and food was also good. I ordered spaghetti and meatballs, madame croquette and a chicken dish wrapped in prosciutto which was their special that evening. My favorite was the madam croquette! It was very cripsy and flavorful! Next favorite was spaghetti and meatballs. I wish they did add more meatballs but it was very good the noodles were bouncy and so good!

We came here for a late lunch and had the best experience! Gaelyn our waiter was out of this world! He had amazing recommendations and it's like he knew what we needed! We had the pizza, strawberry salad, meatballs and kids buttered noodles. Everything was amazing! I loved all the Victorian 8 Italian dishes and motif! Such a beautiful cute restaurant with a garden vibe! We loved it!

The other special of the evening was Grilled Salmon and my picky son liked it.

An excellent taste of Italy. My wife and I both got the lasagna and agreed it was as good as we have had in the US. I can see why this restaurant was the rated high. Chef was from Rome.

We came here for just drinks & while they were pretty, they were both not the best-- they both had a little too much bitters so the end flavor was not ideal. The service was great and he was very attentive. There were only a few other people there on Saturday around 3pm. Beautiful spot, interior and area. Just not our cup of tea drink-wise! I would come back to try again and try the food as they have a good looking menu.

This is an interesting restaurant shoehorned between the parking lot and the other businesses. You will certainly be seated close to yet-to-be-made friends. Kudos to them for seating us - even though our online reservations became lost. As you can see from my pic of their table service for pepper flakes and salt, there is a bit of "airs" about them. You'll also see this in the dishes from my food pics. The service was okay on this busy holiday. We started with the Strawberry Salad. This was a great mix of flavors and textures, without the salad being overly bearing of strawberries. As you can see in my pic, we had the strawberry dressing on the side. By mixing, this semi-sweet dressing with astringent arugula lettuce, we blended a great compliment of flavors. The goat cheese was a super creamy compliment with the toasted almonds. And when this was eaten with the dressing and lettuce, this became a very good and unique salad. Our salad was followed by the Bosciaola Rigatoni, see my pic. Again, this was another very good dish. The rigatoni was cooked just right, and served with ample red cream sauce. The spices were bright and the sausage was savory and rich. There was the right amount of sausage to pasta, and sauce, such that each bite had ample flavor. The food was quite good, but the seating is very tight. The wine by-the-glass pricing was reasonable. They don't accept any payment methods that require a PIN, and they didn't voluntarily provide us a bill or receipt for our meal.

My favorite restaurant in Coronado! The food and atmosphere here is amazing, so full of energy. You'll find yourself planning your next visit before the meal is even over because everything on the menu is worth trying. My favorites that are on my must have list are the brussel sprouts, calamari, rigatoni with the pink sauce and broccolini pizza. Don't miss the basil martini, it's refreshing and unique, and the espresso martini, which is the perfect after-dinner treat. I work at a shop here in town, and whenever customers ask where to go for dinner, this is always my #1 recommendation. It's a local favorite for a reason! *You definitely want to come here for a birthday too, they have a fun little surprise!

In my opinion, the true measure of a business is how it handles things when something goes wrong, and this restaurant handled the situation exactly the way a quality establishment should. Here's what happened: I stopped in briefly to use the restroom and grab one of the spritzers they make here. First off, the spritzer is absolutely delicious -- light, refreshing, and something I highly recommend if you visit. Unfortunately, my interaction with the host was less than stellar. I asked about ordering the spritzer and was told two things: 1. He didn't think they made it. 2. He "didn't have time." That response honestly caught me off guard. A paying customer walks in asking to purchase a product your restaurant does in fact make, and the answer is that you don't have time? Serving guests is literally the core function of hospitality. Thankfully, one of the waitresses, Rachel, who had helped me during a previous visit completely turned the experience around. I asked her for the drink and without hesitation she smiled and said, "Right away!" Within moments she returned with the spritzer in hand. Professional, courteous, and exactly the kind of service that keeps people coming back. I explained the interaction to her and she looked genuinely puzzled. I later mentioned it to the manager, whom I've met before and always found to be approachable, professional, and kind. He was clearly appalled by what happened and handled the situation with sincerity and care. That's exactly why this place continues to earn high marks from me. Problems can happen anywhere. What matters is whether management and experienced staff know how to recover -- and they absolutely did. The seasoned staff and management here understand hospitality. Based on this interaction alone, I honestly think the host may simply be better suited for a non-customer-facing role.

Oysters were on point and quick, raw scallop makes for a great pic, and crab toast is worth ordering multiples! I skipped the carbs by substituting lettuce for toast.
