I stopped by Naf Naf after work one day to pick up some takeout for dinner. It's basically the chipotle version of Middle Eastern food. You pick your base (hummus, couscous, rice etc) and then your meat or falafel and toppings. I got the couscous with the chicken shawarma and my boyfriend got the hummus base with the same. All the toppings looked fresh and they had a nice variety of toppings to add onto your bowls. The pitas were pretty fluffy which was unexpected as usually pitas are more thin. But it was still really good! The inside looked clean, and the cashier was enough to tell me about their app they have. The perk for signing up was a free entree so that was nice! I work by here so I'll definitely be stopping in for lunch! I hope this place sticks around! read more

I've eaten there twice - both times during busy lunchtime crowds. Food was pretty good but I wished they had more condiments to add a bit of zing to my falafel and pita. I hope to see more and more Naf Naf grills around the area. I had a chicken shawarma with couscous. Add every single vegetable that they will let you, they are all great. If you like spice, put both the s'khug (a spicy green sauce), and harissa (a red chili sauce) on there, they combine really well. The meal was fantastic. The chicken was juicy, but the flavor from the sauces really put it over the top. The pita that came with the meal was light, warm, and very fluffy with a little bit of chew. A very good pita that would be worth eating all on it's own. The falafal was terrific. I can think of only one place where I have had better falafel . Sometimes falafel can be sort of bland, but there was a lot of herbs and spices in these balls. A great option for a quick lunch or dinner. read more

Terrible service today. I stopped in, I've been here a few dozen times and love the Falafel Hummus bowl. The person behind the counter was rushing through everything like there were 20 people behind me. I finally had to ask her if she was in a hurry because I felt rushed ordering the toppings on the 2 bowls I ordered. I've felt more relaxed during the lunch rush, so, why the hurry Naf? Very good! Naf Naf Grill is located in a beautiful new strip mall on Route 73 south in Marlton... and I've been eyeing them up until I was able to stop in. I'm forever looking for a doner kabob place like they used to have in Germany... haven't found it, but this place definitely satisfied the need! I downloaded their app, which gives you a free side as a size up bonus! I'll take it :) Their app was organized and easy to use, and you can score points for a $10 bonus. Anywho... I ordered online for pick-up to bring back and eat for the Sunday games. I ordered the chicken schwarma w/hummus spread, chopped salad & sumac onions. I asked for the tahini, garlic and schrug sauces on the side since I live 20 minutes away and didn't want a soggy mess. You can add whichever toppings you like, all of their dishes are customized to you! Like chipotle type set-up. I enjoyed the schwarma and would definitely get on again! It was a warm pocket of goodness! I really liked the schrug and garlic sauce, but did not care much for the tahini sauce. I got J the harissa sauce, which I regretted not doing the same for myself. I've been meaning to post this for about a month now and after reading Fatima W.'s review, it reminded me to finally take a moment to post. As a local business owner, I understand how important customer service is. I also know the importance of treating employees in a respectful manner, especially in front of customers. The last time I visited Naf Naf, the server that was helping me was apparently not moving fast enough for the manager (there were no other customers behind me) and was yelled at in front of me as well as other diners in the restaurant. This was embarrassing to both me and the server and unacceptable to speak to another person in that manner in my opinion. I will not visit this location again. Updating my last review to more stars! I was there for take-out today at around 2 p.m. Service was vastly improved and my food was very good and fresh. I ordered a falafel bowl to go. The lady was cooking the falafels and apologized for my wait. The cashier was friendly as well. I was happy to know that I was going to eat fresh falafel balls (grin). If I could describe this concept to you it's Chipotle for Middle Eastern Food. You pick your base, your protein (meat/beans) and then add your toppings. This is a new location in the Marlton area and I really do appreciate the concept. The food portion itself is huge. I ate my bowl for lunch and dinner. The food however was just ok. My chicken was a mix of charred, cooked well, and I had one undercooked piece (which I just pushed to the side and threw away later). Every meal gets a piece of naan/pita bread. They're upset when you ask for sides and throw a fit if you ask them to change their gloves. Tried the Naf Naf Grill this past weekend. I am a fan. I ordered a rice bowl with steak, cabbage, chopped salad, and onions. I chose a spicer S'khug sauce. Very risky as I never had it, but it was great. Definitely spicy, but not overbearing. I added a side of fries which are thin like chips. The person who went with me got falafel instead of meat and I tried one. Delicious! Each bowl also comes with a pita. The quantity is huge. The bowl was full and deep. I eat a ton of food and for me to say that I barely could finish means this is a serious meal. The fixings on top of the bowl are spot on. Recommend the sauces on the side for most people, but I went for it. The staff was friendly and explained what everything was, as I would have no idea, Falafel? The minus a star comes from the meat. The steak was a little dry and just warm. The simple explanation is Naf Naf wasn't that crowded and it probably was out a little too long, which would explain both the dryness and warm temperature. When the serving style is similar to Chipotle it relies on the meat consistently being refreshed after many customers order. If you don't have the churn, you run into a problem. For the quantity and quality the food is priced right. Overall, this place is great and I will be back. I think once the word gets out, it will get busier and even better. My son recommended this place, and I love it. I usually get the hummus bowl with chicken, onions, greens and tahini sauce - enough for a lite dinner and lunch the next day on the leftovers. This isn't like any middle eastern food I've seen on my travels, but the flavor is there and it's very convenient. It's like Chipotle for Mid East Food. I was traveling for work and had the most awesome Falafel sandwich and a chicken shawarma sandwich another time at Mall of America in Minneapolis. Just wished it was closer to home and my wish came true. They opened couple of miles away from my home in the Cherry Hill / Marlton area. Same taste and really clean and neat. I honestly don't think this place will survive and here's why. On a Sunday evening during dinner time there was only one family dining here mind you there were people coming in regularly for takeout. The pictures they advertise show FULL bowls, but in reality you get half of that. The chicken shawarma I had was very dry and tasteless. It didn't come off the revolving spit, but rather was pre-cut and stowed away in one of the bins like they have at Chipotle. It was bitter and hard to chew and honestly made the entire dish undesirable on its own. Also, when we arrived we were the only ones in line and for some reason even though the entire staff saw us standing there it took them an entire 5 minutes to get it together and service us-- we were just two people. The process is identical to Chipotle so it's supposed to be fast, but instead it's painfully slow. The baklava we had actually had an funky taste; almost like it was a few weeks past prime (exp date was fine). The only time I might come here would be if I'm craving baba ganoush and I would purchase only a side of it. The bread is also good. Everything else is just ok and too expensive. You get twice the food for half the price at chipotle (tastes better too). They need to change a few things otherwise they will not last in this area. read more

If you've ever had the opportunity to have the chicken tawook maroosh from Saad's in west philly and you hate it when you have a craving for it when you live in NJ...well Naf Naf Grill definitely satisfies it. Although it's chicken shawarma, get the pita with no spread, top it off with chopped salad and middle eastern pickles, and garlic sauce. YUM. Chicken is tender and full of flavor and the pita is so soft. We started coming to Naf Naf in Sept 2017. It was sooo good! It quickly became our go to for take out, once, sometime twice a week. In late Dec we noticed that we started getting less meat, we assumed it was a cost issue and we were getting more veggies so it was ok. Now the portions are ridiculously small, half or less since Sept. It's all I want for Valentine's, not to cook. We called it in thinking maybe if we did they'd have meat prepared because most of the time there is little to no meat available. That was a huge mistake, it's by far the worst meal yet. The wife tried the chicken and liked it very much, she let me sample a bit of her bird and it was tender and full of flavor.I even tried a falafel for the first time, and really enjoyed the spicy crunchy ball of flavor. The staff seemed like they wanted to place the orders as quickly as possible and did not want to engage in a positive customer experience. That being said, the falafels were the best I have ever had.
