    Pork Cutlet
    Chris H.

I saw this place opened a few weeks ago and checked out their menu. The menu is small, but very appetizing. Just a foreword, this is a Must Try! Give them a shot you won't regret it. It's nice inside, but not really set up right now due to pandemic and carry out only. I ordered the Teppanyaki Filet Mignon which comes with Fried Rice, Garlic Noodles, and Soup (Miso?) or Salad. Plus a side order of Tonkatsu (Pork Cutlet). I order my steak medium and it was cooked perfectly with great seasoning. The steak was great, however it came with a Yum Yum Steak Sauce that was fantastic and made the steak outstanding. The fried rice was very good. The Garlic Noodles were outstanding, and worth going just for an order of them. The soup was nice and hot, and hit the spot. The Tonkatsu was good, just not as good as main meal. They have the Teppanyaki in many varieties: 2 steaks, chicken, shrimp, scallops, tuna, and maybe 1 more. The meal was very well packed and easily survived the ride home. The service was very good and friendly. Overall a 5 star review and I will be back very soon!

waiting at front counter and found a roach running on the floor I wonder how many more could be in and around our food. I also have video proof

Stopped here on our way home. Was greeted promptly at the door by very friendly staff members. The food that I ordered the double chicken and got the house salad. Everything tasted amazing and so fresh and the staff members were so accommodating. Try this place out you will not regret it!! Will Definitely be back.

Spring rolls -- and the only crab Rangoon left! (It didn't make it to the takeout box...)

Stopped in for a quick early dinner - noodles were amazing! Full of flavor. Crab Rangoon was tasty, too.

Gyoza, side of shrimp, salad, filet mignon hibachi

This place is the absolute best. We discovered them while restaurants were shut down and I would eat their food take out any day over sitting for a live hibachi meal - it's that good. We've tried almost every protein by now but the filet is our favorite, it's cooked perfect every time and so tender. The ginger dressing on their salad is the best I've ever had. We typically get a side of shrimp to add to ours as well - again, even take out it's perfectly cooked and so delicious. The garlic noodles are also unbelievable. If you like hibachi, you must eat here!

Hibachi tuna meal. Comes with rice, noodles, veggies and choice of salad or soup.

Wow! We were so impressed! Everything was amazing! The salad and dressing was so tasty! The soup was broth based with a little bit of elbow macaroni and other tasty ingredients-our kids loved it! The hibachi meals we tried were chicken, tuna and steak. The meals come with fried rice, noodles, veggies and choice of salad or soup. So delish! The indoor dining is spotless and very unique and fun! (See pics) We are already planning our next trip.

I wanted something quick but good so I decided to try this place because of their reviews. Let me tell you this place was amazing! The food was well prepared and a great price. The flavors were delicious. Most people get a carry out but we decided to eat there. The staff was very attentive and friendly. Everyone always had a smile on their face. This will definitely be my new go to in Grand Rapids!

    Filet rare!! Scrumptious!!

We stopped for lunch slightly after the lunch rush and still found a crowded restaurant. We were seated quickly and despite being pretty busy, our server was great and the kitchen was as well because our wait for food once ordered was minimal. We ordered Gyoza, Bao, Spicy tuna rolls and Big Shrimp Tempura rolls. 1. Gyoza-fantastic. Pan fried just enough to bring out the flavor of the ingredients and wrapper. Most places overcook gyoza and while still decent, are not nearly as good as these were. 2. Bao. Once I tried these out of town I was hooked. Have-not seen them one any menu until I came here. We ordered pork and it was perfect. 3. Spicy Tuna Rolls-slight disappointment. The tuna is ground up and mixed with the spices to make it spicy. I would not order this again. After talking to your server, she said I could oder traditional tuna rolls and have the spices applied externally rather than mixed up in a ground up fashion. Perhaps I will order this way next time but there is so many other dishes that need to be tried. 4. Big Shrimp Tempura. Wonderful. Great flavors I looked at other tables and Bento Boxes, ramen dishes and hibachi items looked really, really good and need to be explored as well. I'm predicting we will become regulars here. What a great place!!

As my base I got Japchae Noodles with Garlic Oil and Chips. As my protein I got Teriyaki Steak and Chicken done Hawaiian style. For the toppings I chose Mac salad, corn, and sliced onions. Lastly the sauce on top I chose yum yum sauce and teriyaki sauce. This may be an odd combination, but it works. These unique combinations were delicious. I devoured it. The steak and chicken were both high quality and worth it for them alone. I also got an order of a new item for Korean Fried Chicken ($10). The chicken was tiny. However it was fried to perfection and tasted delicious. The garlic soy was a dollar extra, but it definitely paired perfectly with the chicken. I got a can of Root Beer for almost $3. A little pricey, but the only real negative. The service was good with a caveat. I could not hear the lady taking my order, because she talked so quietly. Overall still a 5 star review. Would I return? Absolutely, a unique food experience done in a top notch way.

We've been to Jaku North and were curious to see if this location was as good. Except for a smaller size restaurant, the two were identical in quality and enjoyment. We started our meal off with Gyoza. Dumplings were perfectly prepared and not over cooked. What I think may be unusual about this item is that it contains both pork and chicken. Great flavors! We then ordered spicy tuna rolls and Tiger rolls from the House Roll menu. Simply put, these rolls were probably the best we've had since our last Japan visit. I usually use a lot of wasabi because I just love wasabi. After one roll I greatly reduced my wasabi use to allow the wonderful flavors to come through more clearly. But the food... that's where it lost me. The Mango Tango roll was a stunner to look at, but once I dug in, it was drowning in sauce. I like my sushi fresh and bright--not hidden under a saucy slip 'n slide. Not bad but not showcasing what I was there for. The orange ceviche also showed up looking gorgeous, but one bite and I felt like I'd just chugged seawater. The saltiness was off the charts. My blood pressure is still elevated. Not a disaster, not a dream--just a solid "meh." Three stars. Could be amazing on the right night, but my night wasn't it.

Fries and brussels were delicious, but the lobster mac is overrated (bland) and our steaks were mediocre. Both were slightly overcooked (not a dealbreaker, but for $85/each I'd expect better). Add in the fact that they just drown them in butter and salt to hide the poor cooking (somehow, very little sear and barely any grill marks on one of the two steaks). Service was excellent - I'll give it that, but it was a little slow at the end once our meal had concluded to get us packed up / being a check. Atmosphere - it feels upscale, but that's just because of the prices and menu selection / options. Food came out quickly, portions were good for the price. They also validate parking for the lot just behind their building (street parking is tight / limited). Unfortunately, it's unlikely that we'd come back. Good news is, there are lots of other options for special occasions in town so weigh your options before booking here.
