Nail Company is a great nail salon. I've been a customer since 2008. Judy the owner is so lovely. I hadn't been in the shop in about seven years or so but she is still there making sure her customers are getting what they paid for and are happy with the service. I recently got a pedicure and manicure and they just always do such a perfect job. Judy as the true entrepreneur that she is has expanded her services and now does eyelashes, eyebrows, and facials. Already scheduled a facial with her which I am excited for. The shop is currently remodeling but they are still open and working. The remodel work is being performed after hours. I came in for a fill and a pedicure. They took me as a walk-in, but I will not be back. I asked how much the fill was and she said let me see your nails and she told me they were $40. When I went to Pay, she said she had to fix my nails because they were too thick and it will be an extra five dollars. Honestly, there was nothing to fix. She just had to file them down a little more. Now they're so thin they're chipping and it hasn't even been a week. I should've been told ahead of time that that was going to be an extra charge. The pedicure was OK but massage was less than good. It was more like a rub. They only accept cash so I had to go next-door and get money and pay extra $3.50. last she (Kim) I think her name was, kept calling me by the wrong name, I would correct her and then she'd still call me something else. My mom has been going to Nail Company and has been getting her nails done by Judy since she was in high school and when I was little I would go with her every time and get my nails done too. Now I am 23 years old and I have been going to Nail Company ever since. All the nail technicians are so sweet and know exactly what they are doing. Tu does my nails and she is amazing she makes sure she does them exactly how I want them. Kim does my pedicures and she makes my toes look perfect she also gives the best foot massages too. I hate leaving bad reviews but this truly was the worst experience I've ever had at a nail salon. First of all, the place is dirty. Everything inside was dusty or stained. Secondly, I went in for a gel removal manicure and gel removal from my toes. Super simple. The nail tech who serviced me rushed the entire process and painfully cut my cuticles 3x, then didn't take the time to clean the 'dirt' from my nails, all of them are shaped different and are different length. Slapped on some clear polish super fast and that was it. Then immediately asks me to get into the pedicure chair while my nails are still wet, asked me to take my own shoes off then rushed through the removal, didn't file my nails or clean them again then said "done" without drying my feet and walked away... I regret leaving a tip. I actually want a full refund or for a different nail tech to take the time to ACTUALLY service my nails. This ruined my evening... read more

I was referred to this salon by a few military wives and decided to give it a chance. Yesterday was my first visit and I am extremely pleased with my service. I normally pay $25+ for a fullset and $40+ for nails with designs. At Nail Co. I paid $27 total for a fullset and designs. I was seen right away! Judy did an amazing job....very kind and friendly. Not only did they help us right away, they did the quickest quality pedicure I've had in a while. Everyone here spoke great English, which was great becomes sometimes I struggle to understand at other places because of the language barrier. For a mani pedi it's only $20! The place is clean and not in the ghetto! I always call in advance and make an appointment with Kim ... she always does my nails perfect! =) I would also suggest maybe bringing in your own nail polish... the ones on their shelf look pretty old. They take walk ins and if they aren't so busy it's right away, but if they are busy sometimes you gotta wait a while. I'd call in advance. I was actually quite pleased when I walked out of the salon thinking that I got a great deal, but today I am very disappointed after reviewing my bank statement and noticing that not only did I get the $46 charge that I was just "Ok" with ($45 for the actual services and $1 debit process fee), I also was charged an additional $2! For what? ...I wish I knew as that was not disclosed to me! I think I'd be more "Ok" with it if they had been upfront about all these charges ahead of time! I went in Jan-March 2010 Thanks to Essie, I was in desperate need of a manicure, and so I gave this a chance and went in for Kim's manicure service and I became Kim's loyal client. It's true- the nail color selection is not wide of a variety. This place has many loyal clients, and it's not a posh salon with a hip pretentious front. This place is clean, sanitary, and Kim is very thorough and meticulous with her manicures. This is all she gets booked for, she specializes in this and I can see why. She's very sweet, and the ladies here don't gossip. I speak their language and when they DID talk, it was all business-related. One of the ladies surprised me with her Spanish speaking skills. Making an appointment with Kim is best to ensure a timeslot with her. But they DO take walk-ins. I've gone to enough nail salons, and I was raised in nail salons so I definitely know how a good nail salon operates. Kim doesn't give attitude when you tell her your preferences or ask her to file down the corner a bit. I am very picky about my nails and feel inclined to put up an image, because no matter where I go, I get the same look for my nails and Kim upheld that image for me. read more

The woman who did my nails was very sweet.... however: * the gel on my nails peeled off a week later (after I was told it was supposed to last over 2 weeks) * she tried to put the nail tattoos I brought onto my toe nails and they looked horrible, I tried to tell her there were directions on the back of the package but she insisted on doing them her own way * the pedicure took so long that I got gypped on my manicure and was still charged the same price * when I leave I am told they only accept atm cards so my husband had to drive over there to bring me my atm card as I had only brought my credit card with me to the appointment * the total came to $63, I was charged $66 according to my bank and then on top of that my bank took out $2 for an atm charge A complete disappointment and a huge waste of money. read more

My first time visit was a very well planned appointment. The appointment was setup by my best friend. She had scheduled two pedicures, a full set and fill appointment for 12:15 PM. Her go-to specialist is Judy, Judy seems to very popular person at this shop. Communication among their staff I guess can be a little more organized. But I am satisfied with the work produced, although they could be a little more clear on what is it that customers request. If my overlay would be the same as a full set, then just stress onto the customer that is is a better choice to get the more for your purchase. Overlay and Full set same price. Service was quick *once seated*. Service before and after were ok, could use a little more customer service skills reassurance of nail tech actually is in or is on "vacay". They say customer service goes a long way, so I feel somewhat guilty for giving them two stars. I've come here about 4-5 times and I really want to love this place. It's close, the staff is friendly, they take walk-ins and they're affordable. or NOT?! EVERY time I've left, I leave scratching my head how I spent way more than I thought. This last time I took note. Full set with white tips is $21, reg pedicure $13 and brow wax $6 = $40 Each time I've been here I've had a different employee assist me. Each works a little different (super nice). But they never once mention that "this will be extra". The last time I was there, they asked if I wanted white tips or white powder. I said it didn't matter. She then asked if i wanted a pink fill or a regular fill (had both jars on the table). Again, it doesn't matter. I asked to get my brows waxed and apparently she did some threading. Somehow my bill came to $56. It seems they just tack on whatever they want throughout your entire visit there not asking or mentioning the additional costs. What prompted me to write a review was seeing my bank change of $2.50. They say they accept debit cards, but what they are doing is running the cards as cash back. so they have to run it in variables of $5. I realize all together my visit there was over $58.50. I can certainly find another salon that is cheaper that offers the same service or a more upscale one if I'm looking to shell out $60/trip. read more

Take this not only as a complain but also as a suggestion. The place looks very dirty, old, and smells like weed and humidity. Your prices aren't super good, so please buying some wall paint, and burning some scents shouldn't cost too much. Cleaning everything sparkling doesn't cost money either, it costs time that will make your customers feel more welcome. And if you feel like updating some things I recommend that too since a lot of your tables are scratched, full of dust and nail polish. Your nail polish is old, I can tell because it takes longer to dry. Those are maybe minor things, big issues...I don't know where people get their certificates here in California. But I've always gone to nail salons in Miami, and there's this salon that had a motto that was very important "beauty doesn't mean pain." Ripping off gel polish, acrylics, and powder gel, with nail pliers and acrylic nails is never been thing I have seen. My nails got extra damaged and ripped off with the powder gel, leaving them very thin and red. Second big issue... tools are used and reused, no fresh, no sterilized, no disposable liners for the pedicure chairs. You are very exposed to getting an infection or nail fungus anytime. The lady with the painted eyebrows, if you can't deal with people get another job cause you are bound to get punch on the face someday. The 2 ladies that helped me out were ok. But the whole environment made me feel like running out of the place. Yes, it might be a little bit "cheaper" than some other places. But not worth the risk of getting fungus or infection later. Well, since I happened to set for Mexico I decided to come to the Nail Company for pampering of the feet. Nail Company struck me very professional and hospitable; They provide a massage chair which appears to be the necessary station for service. Once buns and back make contact with this massage chair, thy feet are delicately placed in firm hot water. And the corollary of this generous premonition, of course, is your classical pedicure. I have an urge to write voluminous notes about the consolation of the massage chair. I also feel a craving to give a precis on how mathematical and aesthetic of a job my nail technician had completed. So true, I am pressed to exhaust the details, however, you are welcome to find out for yourself. It is something that you must not take my word for. In whatever manner in which you can see for yourself the magnificence of this business's special consumer-technician relationship, there is one detail I wish not to omit and I wish to reinforce... Upon being asked the million dollar question, 'what color,' I can honestly assert that I opted out of mahogany, old rose pink, blizzard blue, antique ruby, citrus yellow, I declined all offers above. Do you want to know which color I decided to get for my trip to Mexico? No, not lime green, coral white I thought about but also negated, and chili pepper red did not sit well with me either. Well, when asked the question, I peered into the chuckling and naive eyes of my wonderful technician and answered, ''today my nails will remain uncolored. You, ma'am, have done an extraordinary job and I do not want to ruin my feet with paint. Very nice ladies but when I walked in I asked if they could do a gel mani-pedi at the same time since I was on a short lunch break. They assured me they could and started with my mani, i just thought they were cleaning a pedi chair for me but they didn't put me in it til I was done with my mani. The lady who did my mani rushed so much that the top edge of my nail is jagged and there are spots that show my nail underneath the light coat she put on me. The other lady who eventually did my pedi rushed through that too and clipped my cuticles too much and pulled some skin off my big toe so it stung when she wiped it with alcohol. Overall would not come back. I'd rather them tell me they could take their time with just one service than do a shitty job when squeezing in two. read more

Never again! This place is dirty but by the time I realized that, I was in too deep & decided to hang in there. The nail polish selection is limited & they aren't using the high-end polishes like OPI. The technician who worked on my pedicure did something to my nail that caused a weird burning sensation & all she could say way "fresh & clean." Well, that place is anything BUT fresh & clean. This salon could benefit from a good wipe-down with some Lysol wipes & a mopping of the floor to at least make it seem halfway decent. Thankfully nail salons are a dime a dozen around this town, so PLEASE don't waste your time or money going to this place. I also wanted to mention that no base coat was used, which I found odd. I love this place! TERESA IS THE BEST! She takes her time to make you're nails look perfect! She's so nice too! The salon is very clean. The massage chairs are nice and we'll kept. The price is great too 40 for gel manicure and pedicure. The only problem would be that THEy ONLY TAKE CASH. They do have a atm machine but the bank is a block away so I don't mind. I really wanted to like this place since i live down the street. First time i came here i got my eywbrows waxed. Second time i wanted to get a full set and pedi as soon as i walk in she tells me can you back later? Uhmmm in my mind im like theirs 2 of you and you only have 1 customer.??!! 3rd time i came in i had a full set and pedi. Get a gel manicure and a spa pedicure and you won't regret it. I've gone weeks between nail jobs and the paint does chip or crack even after almost a month. Originally, I just wanted a full set but then I saw a customer's nails who I loved so I got a replica of her design. I didn't mind coming back for my nails i believe she overbooked me. Anyways that's why I didn't give 5 stars. But I absolutely love my nailsdone by Judy. I have never had a ddesign because I felt like the cost will be too high for me. she charged me $32 for designs on 6 of my nails. Ill try and post a pic so you can see the results. I called the shop after I left to show how dissatisfied I was with the service and Judy yelled at me. A time before that I was cut by the owner.
