They always get me in for an appointment and stay past closing time to finish up the designs for my nails, which I appreciate (not recommending to come near closing tho). I just people to know this place is super expensive. I had such a good experience there and then I was charged $85 for a hard gel manicure. Normally I am charged $50 for this. I was shocked. This is my second and last review on Divas... I always request Linda. I decided to stop using acrylics for some time because I wanted to let my own nails grow. I used to get designs every time I got acrylics and I was always charged $60. When I started getting dip powder, she still charged me $60. I had a feeling that I was overcharged. Especially when another employee asked her twice about the amount she was charging me. Like insinuating that Linda was mistaken. I would always leave her what I thought was a good tip of $10-$15. On November 17, I made an appointment at 6 pm for acrylic nails. I told her I wanted a certain shape like she had done before but she couldn't do it. I am very understanding of the language barrier so I was fine. Long story short, the appointment took over 2 hours. I live a minute away driving and I got home at 8:21 pm from my appointment at 6 pm. There was another lady waiting for Linda. When she finished, I went to pay. I took money out of the machine because I never carry cash. I took out $80. The lady who charged me took the money and said thank you have a goodnight. I was in disbelief because I did not expect to leave a $20 tip and I had never had this experience of anyone telling me the amount I should tip. I have always received change so I can leave however much I wanted. I told her I wanted change and she said that is the tip for her? And I was like no, that's $20. The lady looked annoyed like if it was my fault for the 2 hour plus service. I decided to leave Linda $15 because she stayed late and I appreciate Linda's services. So glad I took a chance and came here! I don't ever stray from my usual gals but I was so desperate yesterday and found this salon after searching through Yelp. Vi agreed to take me at 6:30 despite being closed at 7! I was a bit nervous since I typically only go to people that I know, but man I'm so happy to have found Vi. She is so fast at what she does, while still producing high quality nails. I am extremely picky and all I had to do was show her a picture of what shape I wanted and she handled the rest. I was very disappointed with my last visit here. When I walked in at 3pm on a Saturday, all the employees were sitting in the massage chairs lounging. I get it, they are very nice chairs! But no one greeted me, or moved at all. Okay. So I ask if I can get a pedicure and in spite of zero zustoners it still took a while for anyone to make a move toward filling the water or starting the process. Then, they say ok! We are ready! And I sit down and they proceed to turn the water on my feet at a scalding temperature. I yelped in pain and pulled my foot out. A blister was already starting to form as well as an angry red welt. I've been here a few times and had decent experiences. However, last weekend I got a regular pedicure And gel manicure. For the price, I would expect the gel mani to last more than 4 days. I went back today and they fixed it for free, which is great, but no apologies and they asked the lady who seems to be the manager if she remembered me from Sunday- she said no. I've been there enough times where she should absolutely remember me. Overall it seems like an overpriced place with fair customer service, at best. So happy I found this place. It's bright, open, modern, and clean. I noticed the salon uses plastic liners for their pedicure chairs and new tools which is something I look for. There wasn't a strong chemical smell walking in either- extra points! The staff is welcoming and I was taken right away for my morning appointment. Sherry is so talented and meticulous, I loved my pink and white fill. (She's only available Friday- Sunday btw). She was gentle when drilling as well, much appreciated compared to other salons that nick the skin in a hurry. Seems like they're currently having a $25 mani pedi special which is a total steal. My gel nails were a mess, it had been two weeks since I got my new full set of gels. I popped in this salon after getting my oil changed down the street. I have now found my permanent nail salon. Tina was very into her work, took her time and did a fantastic job. They look better than when I got the full set, thank you thank you. See you in a few weeks Tina! UPDATE: The very next day the tips were cracked! I was heartbroken all my beautiful nails had cracks. They were only on the white part of the nail. I thought maybe it had gone bad. I called and the owner said to come in anytime. So I went in and Miley fixed all my nails for me! They are all beautiful again, thank you thank you! I will be back to either Tina or Miley as their work was great, I just think the white gel polish had gone bad. The girls did an excellent job, both of them. Went here after a bad experience at another nail salon. Everything started off great but then I ended up with this (please see photo). Is this the design I asked for...ya. Was it executed correctly...ABSOLUTELY NOT. You can see my entire under-nail. If this design wasn't going to work, she should have let me know as soon as she did one nail. After she was finished, I expressed that I was not happy and that I wanted a solid color painted over the top. She responded saying she had other appointments. She continued to have me pay the entire $45.00, oh and i forgot to mention that she cut my skin. I'm beside myself that I was asked to pay for something that looks so horrible. She did say I could come back tonight at 7PM for her to fix them, but why would I go back after a service like this? I was too worried they would intentionally cut me or give another crappy product The customer service was less than acceptable. So. I really wanted to like this place. My nails initially had been grown out some, with some gel nail polish on them. One of the ladies took a dremel to my nails to get the old polish off, and really thinned out my nail base. The colors/gel options they had were really beautiful, but the layers they applied were maybe too thin, or a combo of my natural nails made to be thin, but while I was sleeping, my nail broke. I came back in and they had one of the ladies out some glue and acrylic powder on it and underneath my nail. I ended up having to chop it off, which sort of ruined the manicure. My sister also got a manicure at the same time, and it's been 3 days and one of her her nails bubbled (her nail is fine but the gel is not). It wasn't cheap either. I'm pretty disappointed in the quality and price of the shop, and I've absolutely had better. read more
