First time here today despite probably having gone to every other nail salon in the area and this one is now by far my favorite. To get excellent service with a relaxing upscale vibe I have been going far away, to hillcrest usually for nails for years. Not anymore! This salon has the trendiest newest gel palettes and selection on hand. Brought my 6-year old princess to get a "princess mani/pedi" and Jennifer is treating her so well and like a tiny adult- she is having the time of her life. She's a happy kid but I rarely see her smile THIS much! Jennifer offered her TONS of snacks- Cheetos, chocolate, fruit snacks, gummy bears, fruit punch- what an epic experience for a kid! The princess treatment is very reasonably priced too, $20 for a pedi I think and $10 for a mani! My kiddo was treated like a tiny queen and enjoyed this experience SO much. Hard to find salons that do hard gel. My tech took an hour and a half to do my fill - usually it takes 40-55 especially with a solid color. Less than a week later the tip he had to put on one of my nails breaks off. I go to get it fixed, and he files my nails down so thin I'm seeing pink. The next day a different another nail broke. The prices are extremely high for the service. But everyone is friendly and the place looks nice. read more

Can we just cancel this place? I get it the fake nails cool fire even. However I like my natural nails maybe some times doing dip here and there the last time I got my nails "dipped" was in January! The elderly woman who did my nails filed and buffed them down SO THIN! This was my nail beds not the tips ( you know how they slightly buff to get the dip to stay on longer. ) this woman messed every single nail I have up. It hurt I should have told her to stop but I didn't. The dip only lasted a week and a half. That was nice considering it's the end of May and my nails are just fully recovering. I spent months of not going to the salon and constantly paying the price of the sad job that lady did. My nails would break easily for months. I went to this salon again more of a convenience thing to get my toes done ( not a manicure ain't messing up my finger nails again ) they up charged me 3% for not having an appointment. Story time - the 'Camila pastel candy' nail polish (I posted a picture of it) caught my eye when I walked in. So of course, me being me, always extra, doing the most , I wanted the pink bottom right color for Valentine's Day. Before they painted my nails, they said it would cost $10 extra. So I ended up going with it because it's so cute!! Would I get it again? Probably not. I always like to change it up. Anyways, hanna did my pedicure. I opted for the $49 pedicure experience because treat yoself, am I right ladies? Her massage was great and I loved the products she put on my legs and feet! It had a heavenly eucalyptus smell and my skin was soo soft after. Lynn did my manicure. I normally do acrylic long nails, but I'm a mom now. This was our first visit and overall I was very pleased. I got a Happy Feet pedicure from Hannah and my mom got the same service from Jennie. We were a walk-in but got serviced very quickly! By the time we finished picking out our polish color, the ladies were ready for us. I had my toddler with us and Hannah was so sweet to her. She was answering my toddlers questions, showed off her Hello Kitty nails and accessories, and even gave my little one a juice box. I love that they didn't have tv shows or news on, they played soft instrumentals and had beautiful scenic screensavers. This salon is very clean, quiet, and relaxing. Walked in at 555pm and signed up on the list. Not sure why we put our phone number when we didn't even get a call while we waited outside. Several people walked in after us and I'm pretty sure they seated them before us, because they forgot we were on the list. Anyway I enjoyed my pedicure, as for my friend she asked for the same thing I got, an organic pamper pedicure but the lady was trying to persuade her to do the traditional pedi because she didn't want to do the other one. I will never allow my daughter to go to this place again. She went alone and definitely got ripped off. She was charged $90 dollars (not including tip). That same night after she showered one nail started peeling. SAME DAY!! When she asked why it was $90 she was told because they are long nails. Total lie because the last time she went I was with her the entire time and I was the one that asked about pricing and paid and it was $65 for nails way longer than this. The only reason I didn't got back to demand a refund is because she went on a Thursday and her graduation was the next day on and we had a packed schedule full of events. Well suited if you need a military safe nail color. I've been going here for three years, this review is long overdue. I was initially partial due to the perception of high prices. However each time I cheat on them and go somewhere else, I immediately regret it. I especially appreciate the vast variety of colors, whether I'm on leave and want "party nails" or wish to stay in regulations for work. They just started using the Orly line which comes in dip and gel (it's vegan if you care). I've been coming to this nail place for almost a year now. I've brought my mom and my MIL as well. The pedicures feel more consistent and are done well but the manicures are hit and miss - it really depends on the nail tech. Today I got a full set for the first time in forever. I was very excited because I'm stepping out of my comfort zone but I left very disappointed. My nails are thick, lumpy, crooked and stick up like press ons. The tech tried her best to fix them but the truth is that when she was gluing them and putting the acrylic on she was very distracted (laughing and chatting it up). She burned my finger with the electric file because she wasn't looking at my hand whilst she was filing (distracted by her conversation) AND she forgot to put acrylic on two nails and didn't realize it until after she'd put away her materials to move on to the next step. I tried to draw attention to missteps as she progressed but she kept dismissing it "I'm not done yet", she'd say ... until the very end when she asked "now. Tell me what you think." To no one's surprise I had several crooked nails, two over-filed, and several lumpy ones. Like I said she tried her best to fix them (adding more acrylic to reshape the over-filed nails etc) but she was visibly flustered and it made me uncomfortable (even though I truly tried to complain as little a possible. I only pointed out the things I couldn't live with. Honestly, I just wished she'd listened when I first pointed things out so that we didn't have such a mess to clean up in the end - that couldn't really be cleaned up because it was just a poor job. Before this time, I got gel and it came off my nails two days later! What?! What a waste of money. Still, though, I came back for this set because I REALLY wanted it to work. Anywho - I still give this place 4 stars because of the consistent pedis, the clean venue, and the calm vibe. It's more of a 3.5 star place. I used to go out of my way to come here because it's such a bougie place, but after more than a couple disappointing experiences - I'm moving on. Still sad it didn't work out. read more

I previously would have given 5 stars however this last experience and pricing is going to have me looking for a new spot. I was charged $115 (not including tip which I always do)$40 which was to remove acrylics, get a painful massage "manicure", did not file them or do cuticles(see photo), I had to do them myself the next day they were so bad. Steven is amazing at acrylics, very detail oriented and Lily, Mindy (doesnt work there anymore) Jocelyn, and a couple other girls were always great. Bella did my manicure this time, ouch. The manager seems preferential to certain customers (I'm mixed race Asian so, not so much customer service) and dismisses or ignores when you are unhappy with the results/price/quote change. I've spent over $100 here more than several times so it's too bad, they won't offer a simple refund for a bad experience to keep a returning client. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!! Bringing up the health and comfort issues later on. They completely fabricate their walk in wait times to seem just enough for you to stick around but in reality you could have watched 3/4's of a Judd Apatow comedy movie before you are actually seen. Greedy behavior not withstanding we still continued with a mani / pedi for both my wife and I. During my wife's manicure they were unnecessarily rough with her and pulled a good chunk of skin for no reason and completely denied the behavior, so much in fact that they caused a pretty decent amount of blood for what they did. The girl who was doing the manicure just denied it, laughed and tried to keep going like it was a funny joke . How is this clean and safe? They didn't even try and clean it up until I said something. Then the very peculiarly dressed male manager came over seeing we were obviously upset. We said there was no reason for this rough treatment especially one that would draw blood. He said "I don't see any blood," come on guy it was literally blood right on the white towel underneath her hand. Then they tried to use a dirty towel on her. By the dismissive and blatant lack of customer care and health standards and the greedy "trying to get you to stay here" wait time it's clear they are just about the money they bring in rather than satisfying long term customers. There are plenty of other nail salons that we have been to and will go back to after the experience here. Don't let them try and comment here stating any other facts. Came in for a dip nail set. I should've known it was going to be bad after we started but I still decided to give it a chance. From the beginning the nail tech I got seemed to be in a bad mood and was more worried about the texts she was receiving on her phone vs the service I came in for. I wanted to change my gel polish for dip to avoid my nails breaking since I was heading out for vacation. When the lady started removing the gel polish, she said "oh this polish peels right off" as it was true for some of them it was not the case for all of it. For the ones that were tough to "peel" (I say this because you are NEVER supposed to be ripping gel of a nail) she took out her nail clippers and started ripping the gel off damaging my nail bed. As the service continued I asked her if she could file down the dip because they were too thick. Her response was "have you ever gotten dip nails before, this is what they look like". I proceeded to tell her "Yes, I have" nicely and annoyed at her response. She proceeded to file them down and told me "I wont do a lot because then the nail will loose the shape". The shape was still pretty horrible, as she still left the sides thick and then proceeded to fill the side down leaving them boxy pistachios. The design I asked for came out just ok. Overall, I get we all have bad days, but being on your phone, offering a lousy service, and giving attitude for a service is not fair for the customer. I had came in once before to this place and the previous lady I got was very nice and professional, so it was really disappointing coming back to have this experience.
