2 stars is a little too much for this salon. I always bypass this place and want to give it a try. First they use the old buffer on me "omg" I ask the lady the get the new one and use clean n sterilized instruments. But later she still using someone buffer on my toes "gross". The lady was doing my shellac manicure I have to keep on asking her to redo it cause dust get in my nails is is not even at all. She didn't massage my hands at all and after 4 days my gel started came off. And the lady doing my pedicure she polished and paint on my skin instead of my toes. My go-to nail place!! The remodeling looks amazing, and there's a bunch of new colors for nail polish selection! Denise does my eyebrows and nails, she's amazing! Clean, and very quick, which is a plus for me. Out of all the places I have ever been to, she has done my eyebrows the quickest and the most precise. For my nails, my shellac full set always lasts for weeks. Even when I come in with broken, uneven nails she manages to make them amazing again. I have been going to this place since it opened. Recently on two different visit's I got a manicure pedicure from a older woman. And on both visit's when it came time to polish my nails they switched me over to the man. ( He's the only man who works there). " He totally sucks at nail polishing". He got nail polish above my cuticle line all over my skin. " Both Times"!!!!!!! And the lady sucks at pedicures as well!!!!! And on my waxing, the owner Denise always does my waxing, but I guess recently she showed her teenage daughter how to do it and last time I went she did my wax. I went here over the weekend to get a fill for my color tips and a pedicure. The pedicure was average and the lady immediately asked me if I was Vietnamese. I guess it didn't bother me cause then it's established that I will understand everything you say about me. After the lady was done with my pedicure she sent me across the room for my fill with a different girl. I chose sparkly white with big glitter chunks. I always stick with white to keep it professional, but I want some sparkle to give it a look unique look. Anyways, after the lady filed down most of the older power, she attempted to apply the white powder and she was struggling since the glitter pieces were kinda big. Finally, she tells me to pick another color so it's easier for her. WTH? You tell me after you already stripped my nails off?! I could've just went to another salon if you told me ahead of time you didn't know how to do it, but I felt obligated to stay because she already started. Anyways I chose a baby pink and she comes back with three other pinks that was not like the one I chose. I was already irritated so I just picked one that looked decent. After she was done with my nails, she starts staring at it in a strange way and then turns to her co-worker and says in Vietnamese that I came in with YELLOW nail beds and she can't file it off. I was a little confused at what she was talking about so I went to the bathroom and almost had a heart attack!! ALL OF MY NAIL BEDS WERE YELLOW AND SHE APPLIED THE POWDER ON SUPER THICK. I went back out and didn't say anything at all. Her co-worker told her that she used the white powder, but was suppose to use pink powder. That's why it was yellow. She just shrugged and said "oh I didn't know" KEEP IN MIND, this whole time both of them didn't realize that I understood everything they were saying in Vietnamese. I got to the cashier and asked why my nails were yellow. The receptionist tried telling me that I came in with yellow nails. I told her that I DID NOT COME IN WITH YELLOW NAILS and she was like "oh really? Oh ok then it's because our solution is really strong and it made it yellow, but it'll fade back to clear..." GOOD TRY TRYING TO WEASLE YOUR WAY OUT OF IT!! I just gave her a strange look and left. I was so irritated that I had my nails re-done somewhere else two days later and now it looks 100 times better. I decided to treat my mom for a pedicure, and my 6 yr old niece wanted to also get her toenails painted. So they filled the tub with water and I assumed it was safe to leave them, and go get some grocery shopping done. Apparently, the lady thought it was okay to use a sharp tool and cut her toe nails. My niece told me later that it really Hurt. Unfortunately my mom didn't see this happening. First of all who uses any sharp object on a little girls toes. The lady didn't speak English and was being told what to do by whoever was running the show that day. My niece had to go get her toe checked as it was red and filled with puss. Love them, very clean, and organized. I go to Joy for my pedicures. I always get French tip, she does it the old school way so it takes time, but looks really great. Not the rushed way with the thin nail art brush. She takes her time, also the foot massage is amazing! Tip in cash only. read more

Kim did my pedi. She really took her time and did a great job! $27 for a normal pedi is a lot tho (no callus remover or paraffin wrap). I've been here before and had a not so great experience. I'm pretty sure she did a great job because it was me and one other person in there. No rush. Advise: go during the week when when there's like no other customers. read more

I came into Nail Sensations for a quick manicure on Christmas Day. My friend had recommended this place and I was down the street so it was perfect, or so I thought. The customer service was not great. I mentioned i needed a manicure when I walked in. There was 3 or 4 women chit chatting and even though they sat me down right away, no one came to do the job. After waiting about 5 minutes for someone to start working on my nails, a guy came in and started doing the job. I was thinking it would be cool, because my friend said the guy was the one who did her nails and he was great. I believe his name was Andrew. The job was done what seemed in a hurry, the massage was so half assed id rather skip the massage. I got a french tip manicure due to their lame nail color selection. It was 15 dollars for the service. My manicure started to crack and chip on the 2nd day. on the 4th day, it looked like i had a 2 week old manicure. I ended up going to another place to get a REAL manicure. This place made me realize how much better the other place I hardly liked was. I would never go back to this place. read more

The work they do here is beautiful. The wait maybe are like 15 min on busy days but they are worth the wait. I love this place and my girlfriend loves this place! If you don't mind waiting three hours to get your nails done and being ripped off, this is the place to go! I am NEVER coming back here again. First of all, I don't understand how you can remodel the salon and raise your prices by nearly 30% to cover the cost of remodeling when you are providing the SAME service as before with the SAME people. That's not good business. I stopped going here for this reason. Yesterday however, I was in a crunch for time and as this place is close to my house I came in to get my nails. When I sat down, I told the lady I had shellac and that I did not want shellac but instead wanted gel nails. The cost of gel nails is $30, the cost of shellac nails is $45. I think I told the lady about three times that I did not want shellac as they peel. She agreed to do gel and when I asked her which colors were the gel colors, she said "all of them." I then picked out a color, and it took FOREVER to do my nails. When she was finally finished, without shame, she charged me the $45. I told her I got gel and that is what I had asked for and her only response was "I did shellac-gel for you." WTF?? Mind you this is also the owner I was dealing with. Had I known that she would have pulled this slick move, I would have NEVER done my nails here. You definitely lost my business going forward as well as that of my friends. Okay, I'm not a female that goes on the regular to get my nails done, but if I'm dishing out 30 for "gel nails" they better last. Nope, not here. So I went on a Saturday to get them done, a week and a day pass & they start to lift, so my hair gets entangled in between my "gel nail" & real nail. I go back telling the lady that did them what happened, she says "there's no money back but I will do them for you again" I said "no, I want another manicurist to do them this time please" she says "no, only I can do them for you". I ask what happens if they do this again? She says "if its before two weeks I will redo them, never no money back". So I get my nails gelled. So as she starts she puts my nails in regular water to soak, the remaining 4 finger nails that have gel, after a little bit she takes a tool a easily pulls off the gel nail polish. You see she has a thing called "gellish" I read the bottle while she was painting my nails, this stuff comes off with water! So I'm paying 30 dollars for something that will come off if I wash my hands to many times basically! Well, a week has passed since I got them redone. Unfortunately they started coming off before a week had even passed. Moral to this story, if you have 30 dollars to waste every couple of days, then go to these ladies! I LOVE Nail Sensations! When I first moved to this neighborhood, I was feeling lost without a nail place to go to. Nail Sensations is conveniently located, the staff is really sweet and friendly. I love having Nancy do my eyebrows (she's really good and fast!), and my shellac manicure, and regular pedicure (her other staff members usually do my feet and they are really good, they have tons of patience with my hang nails!). They have a great selection of shellac color choices, and other nail polishes. Their prices are fair, and they are FAST! I really love getting my services done there because it takes about an hour to get a mani pedi and it's done perfectly. If I could give them more stars than 5 stars I would! read more

Went in for a pedi last Thursday only to be so disappointed. The new lady who did my pedi didn't even push back my cuticles, she just pulled them off which hurt so bad! & she didn't clean under my toes or around my nail either after she painted them. I've been going here for years & never have been more disappointed. I was a regular for either Jennifer or Lisa too. WHERE DID THEY GO!? I got my nails filled and was disappointed by the job. The girl was thorough but then accidently put acetone and ruined my paint job at the end. Then, when I went home, I noticed that some of my nail polish had chipped as well and I had to fix it myself. Then, my little jewel fell off within a couple of days when before at other salons, it had lasted the entire time. I wouldn't recommend this place for manicures/fills. read more

Definitely have had better quality mani/pedi's but they do a decent job. They're conveniently located, that's what I like best about them.
