My sister and I were looking for a new salon so I jumped on Yelp and started reading review's. The pictures of this staff's work were beautiful and reviews were great. Called them and asked if they could accommodate walk-ins and they had a few cancellations, could we be there in 15 minutes? Their spa pedicure was so relaxing and they have great color choices plus glitter dusting and designs. Ha was very funny and personable, made us feel right at home with his friendly banter. You could tell that he loves his job. Price was great for a basic pedi so we left good tips. This will be a new sister tradition whenever I am in Boise! read more

My daughter and I went here in early March for her birthday. It was our first time here. There was a little misunderstanding when we booked our appointments. We had asked for a pedicure and manicure but they just had us down for manicures but fit us in for both services and were very nice about it. For my first ever Idaho pedicure experience, Nail Tek set the bar high! I called to schedule two pedicures for as soon as possible. Britt helped me out and was able to fit us in within 15 minutes. We arrived early and right away got us in chairs. The salon has a fun and clean look, complete with sparkle-y chandeliers. Britt and Vi were so nice and made us feel welcome. I just moved here a few weeks ago from WA and was looking for a good place to get my nails done. After reading multiple Yelp reviews on various places I decided on this salon. SOOO happy that I did!! I did call beforehand to see if I could get in since they seemed very popular. They got me in the following day and I was greeted politely and asked what typed if mani pedi I would like. I had chosen to get a regular pedi and a shellac mani both with French tips. Yuki was my technician for the service and she was incredibly warm, welcoming and VERY detail oriented of which I appreciated greatly! Everyone seemed to be in good spirits and friendly and there was very little banter going on in other languages which I find to be rare and refreshing. Yuki had to look up what a butterfly was as I asked for that design on my ring fingers. After looking it up she freehanded it and it's adorable! The prices are reasonable for the quality and time they put into their work. I will definitely be going back in the future!! read more

I needed to fix a couple of nails badly as I had just gone to a place that totally ruined my nails. I scheduled an appointment and went in and got put with a gentleman named Jackie. He was so knowledgeable about how to get my dip powder fixed and keep them stronger for longer it was amazing. The owners were there and one of them must have thanked me 10 times for being there and reminding me to let them know if I thought something wasn't how I wanted it. Great customer service! I had gotten my nails done the day before at another location, I won't name names...but they were a disaster, the acrylic was actually all over my skin and had uneven tips, NOT good. I called Nail-Tek on a recommendation from a coworker, and the owner Ha managed to squeeze me in. He fixed the shape, the messy acrylic, and did a beautiful gel polish over them. Came to this lovely little salon for the first time today. I walked in and was immediately greeted, even though they were pretty busy... and the gentleman who greeted me was working on a ladies toes.(: I noticed the decor, and it was a cute little place. I had an appointment with Torri, and she was really nice. Seemed like she was pretty tired/worn-out. It was nice because they had a flat screen TV to watch as you're getting your nails done. A great way to stay entertained especially when the nail tech or the person getting their nails done doesn't have anything to talk about. Lol. The place was very clean, and all of the nail technicians were taking extra time to make sure that the customers were satisfied with their nails! That's honestly the first time I've ever had someone take their time and didn't make it seem like just another routine. Thanks Torri. Janna and her husband are absolutely the nicest people ever. I've been getting my nails done by Janna for years and no one beats the great job she does. My nails always look flawless and a regular fill is mostly around one hour for me without ever having to wait on the client in front of me (I greatly appreciate being on time). I always wait three weeks in between fills and never have a nail break or chip. I never went to Nail Tek prior to Janna owning it; so I don't know what it was like before, but now the salon is very clean and welcoming. I highly recommend Nail Tek. read more

They have a wide selection of normal polishes to choose from and an AMAZING gel selection. I don't think I've ever seen so many gel polishes in one place as well. My mom is a regular at this salon and suggested I try it out because I couldn't get an appointment with my normal gal. I called about 3 hours before I needed to get in and they were able to squeeze me in even on such short notice. I went in not having any idea of what I wanted and Tume (I think thats how she spells it) knocked it out of the park with a cute glitter snowflake combo. Most salons don't like doing the loose glitter nails and they will sort of hide it and not have it as an option unless you ask for it. Not here, they have all their glitters on the wall and were excited to do something fun! The salon is clean and not harsh chemical smells overwhelming you. It was great that they could fit me in last minute and I felt comfortable going in, they treated me like I was a regular customer. I will be returning here from now on! read more

I am in Idaho on business from Texas and was so pleasantly surprised to find this place. Everyone is very friendly and professional, the prices are great, and Mickey does a great job. I came in once for a gel manicure, we added some rhinestones and it looks great! The next week I came for a pedicure (mani and rhinestones were still going strong!) and had just as wonderful experience the second time.
