Broken nails and in a rush. THE AMBIANCE: Nail'd It Nail Spa is located in a small shopping plaza off of Arroyo Parkway. I went during lunch time and arrived around 12:45pm. There was only one parking spot in the plaza. The nail salon is simple and to the point. They barely had any decorations but that didn't bother me; I am here for the service. Rachel greeted me and she was very professional. THE SERVICE: I requested a gel manicure and informed the salon that I had two (2) broken nails that needed silk wraps. Rachel took a look at my nails and due to how advanced the crack was she suggested I get a thin layer of acrylic instead. I informed Rachel that I had to be back at work at 1:30pm and she was quick to get a nail technician to assist me. I could tell that she was taking my time constraints into consideration right away and that was great. I took her advice about the thin layer of acrylic and Deanne came over to assist me. Deanne was WONDERFUL. I could not have asked for a better nail tech to help me. She was really quick due to my time constraints and she paid attention to detail. I expressed to her that I wanted an oval shape and my nails came out amazing. I am SO happy with her workmanship, attitude, and vibe in general. She wasn't able to get me out of the salon at 1:30pm on the dot but I understood it would be a bit hard taking into account all the things I needed done. I was finished and out the door around 1:45pm. Deanne told me that when customers express that they have time constraints she does her best to meet their needs. AWESOME. Pretty nails, attention to detail, kind attitude, great customer service - what else do you need? I will definitely be coming back and with Deanne. I know she will take care of me. THE TIPS: Credit cards accepted and you can leave tip on the receipt. You get a stamp card and every time you spend $15 you get a stamp with a date. I leave disappointed every time, and end up reshaping my nails or filing rough unfinished edges when I get home. So I've given this place a try 3-4 times and every time is an underwhelming and disappointing experience. I hate leaving bad reviews for local businesses, but I have gone here a few times and the poor experience has been so consistent. One time I went to get a French tip gel manicure and they chipped within days and looked very rushed. I went to get them fixed and they only lasted again for two days after and I was on vacation so could go back. More recently I came here for gel removal and was happy to pay for the service, but they charged me $15 for gel removal and I still had gel on my nails and they were left peeling. Typically I wouldn't care so much, but it did feel like I paid for nothing. Probably won't be coming back here and it's a shame because it's so close to my work and house but it's just not worth the experience or the money. :( read more

They seemed to do a better job but will see how it is but i wouldn't have come back had i known. Told me i should've contacted them within a week but I'm not local. But so visit often. My first experience with Cash was OUTSTANDING but I did not have a chance to have him again. Since then, my nails have been mediocre but the salon has a rewards card, is clean, and perfectly located even though it is pricey. I was already disappointed in the manicure since a new nail was put on one finger and it was terribly sized with my other nails and the nails looked bumpy and uneven. But then a nail broke after 3 days. This was upsetting but it happens, then on the 10th day a 2nd nail broke completely in half while I was sleeping which is unacceptable with no physical reason for another to break. After 10 years of acrylics this was the worst fill I have ever received. I went back to get these two nails fixed and was told that it was my fault for not getting a new set, though I was not advised to do so. I was told to pick a color and was charged $15 for 2 nail repairs and a new color. If a new color was not selected it would have been clear the two had been replaced since the color already looked worn. I was not expecting to get the repair for free but to pay for 1/2 of a normal fill 10 days after a $42 fill (with tip) is not good customer service. I will not be back. read more

Absolutely love this place. I've gotten gel, acrylics, and pedicures here and I've never left dissatisfied with the work. I'll typically come in for a gel manicure every 4-6 weeks (it literally lasts for YEARS on my nails, it's fantastic) and no matter what design I show, Rachel has always done a fantastic job at matching the designs and the other ladies that have done my nails have done equally as well. I only take one star off because twice I've had one nail be filed too short that it nicks sensitive skin but never have I had blood drawn (which has happened at other places) Sure you can find cheaper places but I don't think you will find a place whose quality is as consistently high as this place is. read more

We both had appointments on a Friday at 6 but told the ladies at the desk we get out of work at 6 and work on Raymond (next street over) they said they would be happy to wait a few minutes as long as we had appointments. Okay people. Nail'd It did just that: NAILED IT!! I have been a longtime customer of Rachel and Ivy and have missed them terribly for the past two years. Recently Rachel reached out to me informing me of their new salon... in Pasadena!!? 'WHUT!?!?' was my initial reaction, since I live out in Santa Clarita, then it was 'HELL YESSSS!'. You know when you find that special nail technician and it's love at first manicure? Well ladies, it was just that when Rachel and Ivy worked their magic and ever since every single time my nails are PERFECT. They take their time, are efficient and gentle, they leave your nails looking amazing!! These ladies are really sweet too and I am so happy to have reconnected with them! Their nail spa is awesome! I think I counted 4 table stations and 7-8? spa chairs. The chairs are new and comfy with great massaging options and the spa light turns different colors, making it cool and kinda fun to look at. They line the foot spa with a plastic liner each time and I really appreciate that extra feature. Overall the venue is clean and they have TONS of polishes to choose from and all great quality too! Waxing services are also available. Get your appointments in now while you can, word will get out quickly and the staff at Nail'd It will have to be turning customers away, I know it. BTW your gel manicure will last a minimum of 2 weeks, if not longer. Convenient location: just a few minutes from the freeway, near the Gold line, across from Houston's, and located in a strip mall with FREE parking! If you're in a hurry and looking to grab a bite, there is an L&L Hawaiian BBQ at the other end of the plaza. Highly recommend this nail spa to all my friends and Yelpmigos! Every time I visit my mom in Pasadena we get our nails done here. My mother won't go anywhere else but Nail'ed it. I normally get a gel manicure and she gets a full set by Rachel ONLY. Anyway, I always leave happy with my gels! They have a great selection of gels and they also provide a matching polish to go with most gel colors for pedicures which is a plus. Nail'd It has become my go-to salon for manicures & pedicures. I've been here a few times and have had someone different do my nails each time, but they have all consistently been great. I've never been pressured to upgrade my service either. The salon chairs are nice & everything is pretty clean. It's best to call ahead of time to book an appointment, they really appreciate that! I've seen some walk-ins have to wait because it does get busy especially over the weekends. They have a large selection of nail polish, both gel and regular. Not a huge deal, but the regular nail polish is placed on a shelf against the back wall right beside one of the salon chairs so you have to kind of get in that person's space a little bit. Could be awkward picking out a color if someone is getting their nails done right there, especially if you are like me and take 10 years to decide on a color! Ask for their gel colors and they will give you an entire basket of colors to choose from! But anyways, I love that everyone here takes their time with my nails. I've been to nail salons who seem to rush through the entire process with not so good results. I've been coming here for about 2 years now and let me just say I haven't even thought about going somewhere else. Every time I come in they always treat me like an old friend and genuinely care about your needs . The price is hefty but I'm always willing to pay because of their mannerisms and their impeccable services . My nails always come out the way I envision them and they always go above and beyond in making sure that I'm satisfied in each step . It's a very very clean salon and the whole staff is very friendly . My mom usually gets her nails done too but one day I came in for a pedi and she tagged along not wanting any services but they remembered how much she loved their massage chairs and since it was a slow afternoon they told her to sit next to me and enjoy the massage while she waited for me . The language barrier between my mother and the staff is also admirable , they always try and make her laugh or try to talk to her as best they can . Also while getting a pedi I'm the type that twitches a bit since I am very ticklish but the young lady that has done my pedis always laughs and makes me feel comfortable even though I get embarrassed about being ticklish. When they're busy , which they usually are, they still try and do their best and I greatly appreciate it .
