I LOVE Dynasty Salon and recommend it to everyone reading this review. I call it my "old lady" salon because it is typically an older crowd but it's great! Pratima is my hairdresser and does a great job with color, cuts and blowouts. Nina is the owner and she does my manicures and her sister does my pedicure. My nails (gel) lasts until I decided to have them redone and the pedicures and really the best around. If you've been looking for a new salon to call home, try out Dynasty and let them know I sent you. read more

I have been going to Stephanie for two years, since I moved to Pasadena from the Westside. It is possible that sometime in my life there have been stylists who have cut my hair well, but never anyone as capable of following my instructions. How many stylists would you instruct with a sentence or two, and an old photograph--to go really short? She got it! The salon is clean and well-run. read more

Been coming for a good 8 years +. Always a great experience. Although everyone is great, Lily is my go to for pedi. Rose does a great mani and gel X. I appreciate that they have regular polish to match the gel colors. Clean, thorough, and great pricing. Free parking in back lot and plenty of free on street parking. Easily call and book an appointment, walk ins are welcome. Friday and Saturday get busy baby. I literally drive from LA to get my pedicures. Love them! read more

I went in today (5/28/24) at 2pm and it is 1am right now and I am complaining to my husband how painful and throbbing red my pinky finger is because the nail tech filed underneath my pinky nail during a manicure until it bleed profusely. :( After she saw it was bleeding all around the nail, she took some type of super glue without asking me and put it on my finger. I wish I had the courage to ask her what it was because I am so afraid of an infection or contracting some bacteria. The place was not very sanitary and I'm not sure the tools are sanitary either. Please learn from my mistake and go to a cleaner salon even if it's more expensive because if she made my nails bleed I'm sure she has done it to others. My nails look really ugly and uneven. Lop-sided almond shape. I told my husband I don't even want to take a picture of them. I hope I don't get an infection. I plan to go to a doctor tomorrow to make sure :( Response - I feel that is not an excuse. It was not a "little" or "light" touch. I felt the nail tech filed my skin with a lot of force to make it painful. She did not stop filing until it started bleeding painfully. Only then did she use a "lighter" touch on the other nine fingers. She should have paid attention to where she was rubbing the nail filer too. In addition, she should be the expert and let the customer know if a certain nail shape is not achievable. I would rather have square or oval shape if it means not bleeding and pain. However, there was no communication. read more

Although I love having pretty, painted toenails...actually sitting for a pedicure is torture for me - I have very sensitive feet and don't like having them touched. I found Dynasty a few years ago and have been coming here ever since. The nail techs, Yin in particular, have been so gentle with me and do not giggle when I squirm around from the discomfort. The experience has been so gentle that I'm (almost!) over my weird foot-touching thing and my nails always look great! I'm able to relax during pedicures now, a huge feat (feet?) for me and I will continue to get my pedicures at Dynasty as long as I live in South Pas. read more

This is my go-to pedicure spot in South Pasadena. The women are kind and work fast, while doing a great job. I love getting a pedicure with scrub and heel treatment. Honestly, I would give Nina 10 stars if I could! She helped me feel right at home as soon as I walked in. Genuine warm hospitality oozed easily through her kind smile, loving words, and motherly personality. She made it easy to open up, relax and even helped me narrow down a design. My friend recommended this place and I decided to try it out to get my nails done for an upcoming event I was attending. I had booked an appointment so there was no wait. Service was super nice. I told her I wanted nails done and she said they had some new way called gelX so I went with those they polished and made a simple design which I love. My daughter got her nails gel polished and she was happy, though her pinky polish fell of 5 days later. I saw they also do hair and a woman got her toes done while her hair dye soaked in which is a big plus when you want to save time. It gets pretty busy so make an appt. read more

Once you come here, you can't go anywhere else. Nina, Lily, and Yen are the sweetest people ever! You're always greeted by all of them when you walk in and they make sure you feel comfortable. It's usually them three so sometimes there might be a wait, especially if you don't make an appointment. The price is affordable for the quality you get. I've done regular, gel, dip powder, and polygel. I am satisfied by each and every visit. Thank you guys so much for the awesome experiences!! Guys! Go get a pedicure. Totally, totally worth it!!! I am beginning to understand why women like to be pampered in this way. ;-) OMG, so gentle, not a single misplaced snip of the nail clippers. It's no longer easy for me to get the right angle on the clippers - and I frequently cut myself at least once, so having blood-free toes was a huge win. The first time I went for the full spa treatment, wash, cut, style, manicure, pedicure, facial and make up! It was a wonderful morning of pampering myself and I was so pleased and felt so beautiful. There are a good handful of nail salons in this concentrated area of South Pas but I'm so glad I chose this place. 10/10 I've never had long acrylic nails done before, (I've only always had my natural/short nails) and lemme tell you: Nina NAILED IT (haaa) Not only is she a total sweetheart, she's a PRO. I'm super satisfied with the result and plan to come back as a regular. The prices are also super reasonable considering the area and competition. I made a 6pm appointment on a Monday, came in and Nina gave me a bubbly greeting. She was so kind and detailed, meticulously perfecting my nails until way past closing time without rushing or any hint of impatience. That is truly quality service. Super friendly staff and great services. I typically go in for a gel mani and pedi and it lasts well over two weeks. This is the only place in the surrounding area where their prices are affordable as well. The only thing I would recommend is music for that extra relaxation. I've come here on 2 or 3 occasions and i think i finally found a nail salon i love! I've gotten a dip manicure once and a pedicure twice. I've always walked and and got lucky with an opening (especially on a Saturday afternoon)! The main owner is super sweet and works really hard. She's always in the front greeting customers, answering the phone and working on clients all at the same time! I really loved the dip manicure. I took a picture of when i got it till today..3 weeks later and it still looks good with no chipping! And the dip manicure is suppose to be healthier on your nails and it's a lot of fun to get done! Definitely recommend stopping by Dynasty if you need some nails done! It's a little bit of a hidden gem! read more

The girl who was supposed to do my waxing was already in a rush, rushing me when I got in there and was presenting with attitude. She had a bracelet on that kept rubbing my eyelid when she was working on my eyebrows, and I had verbalized to her in a nice manner originally, but she was having attitude already at me and basically being pretty rough when it comes to removing the wax. And then she missed a few spot and when I pointed out that she missed a spot, she was giving me attitude while telling me to lie down and then when I got back up after she was done and told me that she was done, she looked at me and was like what are you doing? I still need to put cream on you. And suddenly I feel gaslit because she was the one who told me to get up and then she followed that by asking if we have any problems because I am making her feel very uncomfortable here while giving me attitude. When really I haven't really verbalized anything and I have barely verbalized my concern about the eyelid and that's basically because her bracelet keeps touching my eyelid because it dingles down. The front desk lady have said that she tends to have attitude for whoever is last on her list and I find a very unfair that they book her as my cosmetologist if they know that that's the issue. If they're going to hire employees are representing their company I sure hope that they evaluate their personality and their customer service aspect because that is the most important when it comes to these kind of role and if they're not happy and don't wanna work here, they really shouldn't take additional clients or they shouldn't have the job here. As someone who works in a place of customer service, I always make sure that I don't bring my personal opinions or emotions in. This whole experience made me feel kind of uncomfortable and also feeling like I don't really want to come back and make an appointment with that person ever again. By the end of the session after she gave me the mirror I told her she had missed a few spot. I mean, there were clearly hair in those area, and she clearly was very upset by me pointing at things that I'm just merely pointing out at as anyone would and she is just showing her bad mood and the environment that didn't need that. And after this time, she was done, she not only did not let me check in the mirror. She also told me that I am good to go. I am very uncomfortable I am very disappointed with my experience and I don't wish that on anyone. When I finally got to my car, I noticed not only a few spots but many spot that she missed and I can't really even walk in because I'm kind of scared and worried to really deal with her and I honestly don't want her to ever service me ever again . And I hope that nobody becomes her victim because that is just some rough waxing services watching someone having a resting bitch face and attitude the whole time when really I just want to come here to be vulnerable and did nothing wrong.

I have been waxed many times at other places and this was the most effective and least painful waxing that I have ever experienced. Not one hair missed! The biggest difference is that my skin had so little irritation -- I didn't think that the type of wax really made a difference and I'm used to having some skin sensitivity, but things felt 'back to normal' right away. Do yourself and your skin a favor and get on Ariana's schedule!

My gel pedicure was fine overall, but I was nicked during the service and started bleeding. When I pointed it out, the only response I received was being asked if I wanted alcohol sprayed on it. There was no apology or additional concern shown, which was disappointing. The biggest issue was my gel builder manicure. Before the service, I clearly explained that I wanted the gap between my cuticle and the nail polish to non -existential. The technician assured me that once she added additional coats, the gap would disappear. It never did. It's only been a week, and my nails already look like they need a fill because of the noticeable space near the cuticles. For a fresh builder gel manicure, that shouldn't be the case. I was really hoping for a better experience, especially after hearing such positive things from my coworkers. Unfortunately, I won't be returning.
