This review is way too overdue!! There are not enough words to describe how awesome Joyce is!! I've been coming for almost 2 years now and literally I can not think of going anywhere else! Joyce has a strong and dedicated clientele list and it's because of her awesome work and wonderful personality. Joyce literally is the best and I searched for so many places after having moved to South Pasadena and so very grateful I found her! Venti nail salon also has bio-seaweed gel which I have used for almost the past 6-7 years and have not had to take a manicure/pedicure break at all. Plus when owner, Gina found out that i love the bio-seaweed gel, she went and got more colors to add to their list. They also have dazzle quick dry colors. OMG the best nail salon I've ever been to! Gina and Joyce are both wonderful. This cozy salon is tucked into a charming shopping area where you can forget the chaos of the world and get on with the glorious pampering. This is the opposite of the ubiquitous mani pedi assembly line salons on every block. You will feel like the only client in the world. Beautiful experience. Small, intimate studio with lovely atmosphere. Service is on point. Kim was my tech, and she took such great care with me! I came with gnarly acrylics from a poorly done mani, and she took her time removing them. She added tips on my broken nails, and offered me SNS. She work SO hard-always with a smile. I am absolutely obsessed with Gina, here's a completely 100% honest reason why... So I had been seeing the same nail tech since i was 15 (im 29 now) so the past two months with him I had been noticing my nail sets weren't keeping up the same I wear acrylic nails and I'm in an industry where I'm consistently busy and cant stop by a salon every week for a nail fix and thats what had been happening with him. So it took every bone in my body to try someone new and OMG im so happy I did.. Gina is soooo sweet and humble! I explained how I wasn't happy anymore and she legit tried to tell me hey maybe its just his product why dont you go back to him and talk to him and tell him I wasnt happy so I could keep going to him , she easily couldve tlkd herself up so I could bring her my business and i really respect her for that genuinely. Gina and Kim have created a great relaxing spa experience in Pasadena. Since Kim started doing my manicures, my nails are better than ever and she keeps my toes in tip top shape, too! They have gel polish and dip powder as well as regular manicures and pedicures. Prices are competitive with the other salons in the area. I like that there are only two stations because I know who my technician will be and I have a consistent, high quality experience every time I go. A bonus for me is that I live in the neighborhood so I can walk there. For those that don't, there is a lot behind the shopping center (on Union Street) and they can validate your parking. read more

Best mani pedi of my life!!! Gina is amazing and her salon is super cute, it feels like you're on vacation in Italy. The service is personal and they really take their time and pay attention to details. They know all of their clients and the salon is super clean. If you're looking for a quick and cheap manicure, go elsewhere. Gina takes her time and really cares about how your nails turn out. The SNS dip manicure is bulletproof, it lasted a full two weeks with no chipping (and I am not easy on nails, I usually give up after 3 days and just remove color- gel included). Nails are not as thick as acrylic but almost as strong. Also, they stayed shiny and had that "recently done" look the whole two weeks. You can even paint over the nails if you get tired of the color. The manicure itself takes 1.5-2 hours so plan accordingly. read more

I went to this place because I was doing errands across the street at Target and Vroman's. Convenient location but the place is tiny. Looks like they can only accommodate two clients at a time. They offered me coffee - great! Until it turned out to be more like hot chocolate. What's worse is I got food poisoning later that day which totally ruined my day. I got my nails done to go to a wedding that night and I had to leave early because I kept vomiting!!! My family did not have food poisoning so it was obviously what I had here that caused it. I decided not to write a review about the incident until today. They were really nice people and I decided to ignore their negligence to probably expired dairy/drinks in their studio. But, less than two weeks later my gel manicure is already coming off!! I definitely did not receive the service I expected from paying $70 (less 20% for new customers) for a gel manicure and a regular pedicure. I get better service elsewhere for much less. Definitely not coming back. read more
