They unfortunately did not have the shade I wanted but they did offer to improvise to get as close to the shade as possible. I wanted a midnight blue shade so they tried to use a black base and top it with a dark blue/green color. It's not the shade I hoped for but it came out ok. I went in for a pedicure and manicure at 10:30 we finished at 11:15 ... firstly one of the girls was very sick and was coughing in my face while doing the manicure but also I left with sandals at 11:35 and went home to get ready. I put on shoes at 12:30 way past when the pedicure should be set and the entire polish on the big toes came completely off . I called them for a refund and they said no and said goodbye and hung up .Now I'm on way to event and toes look horrible ... I don't even have polish remover on me plus I feel a tickle in my throat because of the girl coughing in my face while doing mani... Now that they have a NEW OWNER and Kelly is the main person in charge, this is favorite nail salon in Pasadena area! It is super clean with massage chairs (leather/non fabric so extra clean.) Kelly did a great job on my short nail shaping, and my polish was perfectly even with a really natural look (like I requested.) Mostly I love that they are really good at booking appointments so you never have to wait long like other places who say you have an appointment but then you still have to wait. She is so sweet and super on trend - she suggested doing an incredible set of cat eye + ombré gel x nails with gems for my friend, and she also showed us pictures of beautiful nails she has done for other clients and her daughter. We also received free drinks and snacks while we were there, and the interior was so clean and beautiful too. First, this place is clean and has an amazing selection of new OPI nail polish. Unlike other nail shops. Here's the reason why I rated this place low. Yesterday morning I left a detailed message requesting an appointment for four mani/pedi. It was a bonding day out with my mom who is 87 years old, my cousin who just arrived from another country and my daughter in law that lives in San Diego. To make sure we all have a bonding time together, in addition to calling for a reservation, I stopped by the nail salon and spoke to a manager who confirmed a mani pedi for four people at the same time. When we arrived at our appointment, the nail technicians were not aware of our appointment. The manager was not present when we got there. There was a technician who started speaking in her language who sounded irritated and said they can finish with their client in 15 mins. Well, I had to ask her to speak in English so I can understand what she was irate about. So we waited..... 40 mins later, they have not attended to us. The manager finally came and had a lot of excuses and then finally apologized. In summary, if you have all day and have the flexibility, I guess just walk in. They will get to you when they can. Completely over priced and dishonest! My first experienced was good the first time. I got a full set French. I went back the second time and noticed they really tried to push the alcohol. She charged $52 for a fill and i had the exact color french done as previously. The third time I went was for a simple fill again and told Lucy same color french. I asked her if there where different types of pink because I noticed the color she was putting did not match the color i had previously had. The pink I had, had more of a purple tone. She was short and just said yes. I looked at my nails and told her that the color did not look like what I had. She said she didn't have the color I wanted. I think it would have been reasonable for her to have told me this at the beginning. She goes on to tell me that I do have purple. As if I am so stupid not to notice the difference. Not to mention she just said she didn't have the purple tone. I thought maybe she could borrow the purple tone from another nail tequ. but it seems they work independently like a hair salon. When I went to pay she wanted to charge me $75!! I asked cashier why I was being charged more than the last time, having had the same thing done. She goes back and forth with Lucy speaking in language I can't understand. Then Lucy goes on to explain that she did all these other extras that she did not do!! I told her to do the same thing I had. The cashier asked the previous nail tech I had and again I could understand what they were saying. The cashier said to pay the $75. Meanwhile, I'm pulling out my previous receipt that shows $52. They go on talking in their language and then say fine pay the $52. I really think Lucy was trying to pull a fast one and up the price. Very dissapointed. Never again will go back. I rather pay more for honesty! read more

Asked for tasteful, left with tacky. My boyfriend and I came to Aria 3 for manicure and acrylic full set, respectively. I'm from SP but moved a while ago so I usually visit Jenny at the Sierra Madre location and they are phenomenal there but boy oh boy...not sure I can say the same for Aria 3. Let me be clear, these people are VERY nice and hospitable, my boyfriend really enjoyed his manicure. I had no issue with how I was treated and they offered a menu of complimentary refreshments, this is why I gave 2 instead of one star. Elsa did my nails and it was going well until they all started talking, EVERY time someone said something she'd completely stop what she was doing to talk, I obviously don't expect people to not have fun at work, but this was far too many times. A service that I can usually get done elsewhere in an hour took two. Not only was the service incredibly slow , it was sloppy. My nails are shorter and more wide than what I asked for, and my attempts at communicating this weren't listened to because, again, she was talking. The acrylic application was uneven, some areas completely missed. Acrylic getting under nail, and when I asked her to file under my nail to clean it up, it still was sloppy. Uneven and patchy gel, and she even got some on my hand twice, and she rubbed in to my skin to take it off, not wipe away with alcohol. I left with cured gel on my palm, which was a bitch to get off cause I didn't want to ruin my jacked nails with acetone. The French is uneven and some parts are thicker than others. read more

Hooray for the magical Genie of Serenity who gave me 2 amazing pedicures in the last 2 months (or maybe she spells her name Jeanie)! I'm kind of a "special needs" person right now due to an injury which prevents me from lifting my right leg high enough to do my own foot care. The first time, I hobbled in leaning on a crutch, and she took great care to make me feel welcome and safe. She completely focuses on each task (cuticle cutting, nail trimming, massaging) with meticulous grace - careful not to hurt or startle. Her nail polish lasted so well that I could have skipped the next appointment if not for the fact that my toenails had grown and my calluses were out of control and painful. This time around, instead of "basic," I splurged for the Deluxe Pedicure which included hot stone leg massage, callus smoothing, AND a heated vibrating soft chair molded to my body - Genie gave me a lumbar pillow without me having to request it (I suffer from multiple spinal issues). I've avoided salons for years, mainly because I didn't want to look entitled while someone who clearly hates their job waits on me. BUT this is NOT at all the case with this lovely person! She conversed a little, very gently - not prying or invasive, but generally and kindly. Never condescending (this time I had a cane and she simply made sure that it was stored safely and retrieved it for me at the end). As for the salon venue itself, it absolutely deserves 5 or more stars! What a great find wedged between a Rite Aid and Urban Pets in a plaza in South Pas! The ambiance is artistic and serenely Asian style with beautiful fish tanks, decorative bamboo stalks that are not fake. Quiet. Some unobtrusive music and a wild wide video screen that can play those "Idol" and "Got Talent" shows. The kicker was after I walked out of the salon and had gone one block, I happened upon a frustrated young woman turning away from the Closed sign of a nail salon. She spoke to her elderly mother about what to do because that's where she gets her nails done. I whipped off my sandals and showed them my new beautiful red toenails and gave them directions to Serenity! I hope they made it! read more

I live two blocks from this location. I stopped in today to check it out and was so happy to see a full service, spacious and elevated nail salon in a town that has two to four nail salons on block! Reception is well organized and as a walk in I was attended to right away. I went for just a basic mani and enjoyed my mani so much I also got a brow and lip wax. They take cash, Zelle and Venmo which is very convenient. Tips in cash which I always do anyway. This will now be my home salon for nails and waxing. Kat is great and very skilled. My daughter got gel extensions, although the customer service was OK when I asked for my nails to be cut shorter the woman called me picky when I explained I had to do it for Work.
