Julie did my mani today, and she gave me the best hand, arm, and shoulder massage I've ever had. I had the luxury pedicure for the first time, and it was worth every penny of $85. Callus remover... After applying the nails, the nail tech cut them down without checking with me first. As soon as he did, I told him they were too short, especially because I knew they'd get even shorter once they were filed and shaped. Instead of listening, he kept trying to convince me that the length was "medium." My natural nails underneath were barely shorter than the extensions. I explained that every other time I've asked for medium length at this salon, they've been noticeably longer, and asked if there was any way to fix them. He said it would take another 30 minutes, which I had no issue waiting for, but he did not want to redo them. At that point, I didn't even want French tips anymore because I hated how short they looked, so I just asked him to paint them white instead. The rest of the appointment was awkward, and he didn't even acknowledge me when I thanked him and tipped him. I called the next day, and the front desk told me to come back in so they could fix them free of charge. I explained that I wanted them longer and preferably back to french tip. But when I got there, instead of fixing the issue, they spent the conversation trying to convince me my nails weren't actually short. They even brought up that I have long nail beds, which made no sense because if anything, that should've been taken into account when I asked for medium length. The biggest issue wasn't even the nails themselves -- it was feeling dismissed the entire time. After telling me over the phone that the fix would be free, they then changed it and said I'd have to pay for half, so I ultimately left without getting anything fixed.
