The teamwork was prompt, very friendly, and made the visit smooth from start to finish (mani/pedi). My manicure is beautiful and my cuticles are super clean--definitely shows their attention to detail. The nail quality overall was excellent--clean, precise, and exactly what I was hoping for. The massage portion could've been a little deeper, but that was on me for not speaking up at the time. Just something to keep in mind if you prefer a firmer touch. Exactly a week later 6 nails had popped off. 7 days later 1 more nail popped off. When the nails popped off, I was not doing anything where they should have came off. Baffled. EDIT TO ADD: Not even a week had passed, & two nails have popped off. One was while I was making a bed, & the other, I woke up & the nail was gone..... Easily the worst set of nails I have ever paid for. What a waste of $350 + $30 for tip. I have been here a handful of times now, & each time service gets worse. I don't live in Anchorage anymore, so only stop here due to convenience when I am in town, considering it's right now the road. We booked an appointment for 3 of us, a week in advance. We got there, they started two of us, & I sat in the chair for 30 minutes before they started on my feet, by this time the other two I was with were almost done. One of my biggest peeves is, when they start your manicure while they are doing your pedicure, so you're stretched. Part of the reason I get my toes does is for the relaxation. I had cut my finger nails & toe nails before I left because I like my nails square cut. Both ladies cut my nails again, making them so short that it hurt. The next three days my nails from my feet/hands are sore. Other two people are sore too. When I got home I noticed I had chunks of skin taken out, on my fingers & toes. The lady doing my fingers cut my cuticle with the drill, did not clean the drill, & spooned some stuff on it, not washing anything she touched my open wound with. & the shape of the nails is awful. They are all shaped so different. The paint job is just as bad, & you can see through to the other side of the nails when I'm outside. She did not get the acrylic even close on my thumb, so it looks like I have a week of growth. To say the least, I will no longer go to them for the convenience. We paid $350 for all of us, that's three pedicures, & one manicure. At the end, I didn't even want to correct the lady, as I had sat there from 1pm-4pm. Nails should not take that long. So now I'm stuck with these awful nails. Crazy how much we spend for what we got.

Two days ago, I made an appointment with Tina & had her do a Shellac Manicure on my natural nails. I used to get gels else where, maybe once or twice a year. Gels are alright, but they often end up suffocating my nail bed. When I lived in Seattle, I had my nails done at Top Nail in Queen Anne. They had this shellac nail polish called Cat Eye Shellac. Ironically, I love all things cat eye, so this was a treat! I moved back to Anchorage at the end of August, so I had to find a nail salon that carried Cat Eye Shellac. Not only does Tina carry that line, she has many of the colors I love, and even a few new ones! Tina did an amazing job! I love the colors I ended up choosing. Being able to express myself really lifts my confidence, and Tina helped me with that. I will be back as a regular customer.

I put $15 down to secure my appointment on the app and they said that 15 will be deducted from my total. so $85 in total right? NOPE! I had to pay $97 at the register and it was only THEN that they told me that I need to pay for gel polish that the pedicure lady PUT ON ME WITHOUT ME KNOWING. Also during the Acrylic set the girl cut my finger and it stung when i went to go wash my hands so....

My toes look great but after finishing my toes the lady started ripping my acrylic finger nails off taking my real nails with it. I have never had a salon ripp my nails and not soak them [granted I'm new to this the nail scene I'm pretty sure that isn't a thing]. Most painful and upsetting experience ever. I complained about the pain before and during the removal and the lady said it was faster that way. Unexceptable. Never again! My nail looks like an over cooked hot dog. ‍

The process seemed inefficient as I've never had it take that long. Then, the technician cut into my nail bed and insisted on continuing even though it was starting to bleed and I told her I was in pain. And to top it off, really bad paint job. It was messy and uneven in so many places. I honestly should've done without the color and done it myself. Oddly, the pedicure was really good and soothing. That tacks on one more star. I'm bummed to have had this experience because they seem like really nice people, but customer service needs improvement.
