I have mix feelings about this place. When I first had a pedicure, the lady was very friendly and gentle with my toes and feet. The second time I came around, I had another lady who dug into my big toe and I had an infection. She didn't compensate for my pain. Had a horrible experience and due to this experience, I was traumatized to get a pedicure again so I just get a color change. Moved to the mainland and found this salon place where I could comfortably and trust the ladies to get a manicure and pedicure. Never once gave me pain. Just moved back a month ago from the mainland. Came back to this place because it was next to my house. First time back, the lady was very gentle with manicure and pedicure. Second time around, I had another lady who cut me while giving me a manicure. Same thing... didn't compensate my pain and blood! Got an infection... AGAIN. I would really say hands down the worst customer service I've ever received anywhere. I go here out of convenience and desperation if I forget to get waxed or mani pedi before an event. The work done here is mediocre. In my opinion people return here for the cheap prices wish is quite a bit lower than the place across the street. All of Wahiawa goes here so prepare yourself for a wait. Lucky thing is you can go to Maui Mikes while you wait! Lol I've never had a positive experience here. This place has great customer service. It was a hot day outside today and the lady who did my nails asked if I wanted some water. I thought she was going to get a cup an use the sink or a water dispenser lol. She went to the next door mini mart and bought me a bottled water. That was so nice of her I totally recommend 10/10! she was also very gentle while doing my nails Ive had past nail salons be to rough and made my fingers bleed. Wish I would've got her name. This is usually my place for nails and eye brow clean up, and Sue is always my go-to. I trust her and really like her work. They're always busy, even at the earliest time in the morning or evening. Always better to make an appt, or call before showing up. And, make sure to speak with the person you want to get your service(s) done with, that person might not get the msg from the person who took the call. Perhaps I just haven't received an excellent nail artist here. However, each time time I come here, I'm so disappointed. My nails never look their best and the nail art I receive is always bad.... And I mean bad. The only good thing is their price and to get simple polish with no designs. I'm just now finishing this review because I just moved back to California and had such an excellent nail experience. I'm the type of girl who doesn't need perfection, but I still want my nails to look good. The last time I went here, I hated the flower design put on my feet. I even asked them to remove it, and they seemed a little salty about it. I only come because I have many friends in that area who go for cheap services. The only two salons I can even recommend on Oahu are Tiffany's and Cosmic Beauty. I know they're out in Kapolei, but they are the only nail salons where I've received excellent service and art. In addition, now that I'm in California, I found out that the way in which they shave off callouses at this nail Salon in wahiawa is illegal here. It's that little shaving device that takes off extra skin/callouses. BLOOD BORN PATHOGENS. My nail tech here was telling me that she hasn't seen anyone do that in years and you can get fined in the state of California for doing it. Instead she used a chemical peel and a buffer to remove callouses. Which is what I'm fairly certain cosmic beauty does as well. I understand it's probably still allowed in Hawaii, but I'm happy to be going somewhere more updated on health and sanitary techniques. Missing Oahu choke loads, but not this nail salon! read more

Feeling bad now because my brother got done with his hair and now he's waiting for me. They finally send me to the back room and I still had to wait there. Yukie was the one that helped me and she was very nice. She also was very kind and did a good job on my fills. So while I picked out my color that I wanted. Located on Olive Ave. in between Maui Mike's & Dong Yang. A little shop that accepts walk ins! You walk in, tell them what service you want, sign in & wait for an available tech. Came here w/ my friend to get pedicures and didn't have to wait. It was roughly 25 minutes and for 20 dollars you can't go wrong. Wearing shoes all day everyday, my feet was really calling for a nice pedicure. Okay I have to admit after several years of coming here that the place is dirty, sometimes they don't sanitize (or it doesn't look like it at most times). However the service is good, the prices are hella cheap, and the staff are usually friendly and make you feel comfortable. Everytime I come here I usually never wait, it's straight to the eyebrow wax chair or one ic the massage chairs for a mani/pedi. A lot of people come here including guys so be mindful of the wait and if you want a mani/pedi later in the day, they told me come at least 1 hour & 30minutes before they close so they don't rush (not as a reference for a previous post) Besides the lame parking and over all "dustiness" of the place, its good and I will continue coming here. read more

I'm not even mad for what I payed for ($39.78) it was hell of a lot cheaper then what I've been paying for fills and fix ($50+). Lynh did a great job for basic coffin nails and gel.. I've had many people mess up on coffin saying "it's your nail, it's crooked".. but I'm happy overall.. if I had a complain it would be just to clean the tools after each costumer, instead of putting it back in the drawer or organizer.. read more

This place is definitely a hit or miss. The only reason why I keep coming back is because of the location - but I do have to say that their parking is VERY limited. Out of all the times I've been here, I've only really liked my nail job ONCE. I guess the reason why I keep coming here after many failed attempts is because I thought maybe one day I'll find a lady whom I can trust with my nails. I kept an open mind and every lady there had their pros and cons. Some are better at designs, cleaning, taking their time...but never have I met one who can do it all! Bea is very good at cleaning, but there was one instance where she nicked three of my fingers with the cutter because she was rushing. My thumb wouldn't stop bleeding! However, when she does take her time she's really good with cleaning. For my college graduation, I just wanted a simple pink nail design and she bejeweled the heck out of nails! All my nails had a different design and it looked so off. My ring finger was completely covered in rhinestones. By the next day, it was already starting to fall off! My coworkers back then had a good laugh! (I forgot her name who did my nails.) This recent event I came to do my nails because I haven't done one ever since last year. I made sure to call in advanced because I knew they would be busy, especially for a Saturday. I asked for Cindy and she said it would be fine to come in at 12. I did, and I still ended up waiting for 45 minutes! Halfway through my manicure she goes, oh were you the one who called early this morning? I was like uhh...yeah. She said oh I forgot..I'm guessing they don't have a system to schedule people in or something. The mani was a simple faded French tip design, but the very next day it already started cracking. I have no idea why since it's a gel nail polish...Then as she completes my mani, she says I'm sorry but is it okay to have someone else to do your pedi, I forgot I have an eyelash appointment and I'm the only one in the shop who can do so. I said that's fine. I really didn't mind, but I was disappointed that she didn't really "log" me in her schedule and I had to wait for awhile. BUT OH MY GOSH. The girl who did my pedi totally butchered my toes!!! She dug and dug and dug to clean my big toes. Mind you, nothing hurt at all when I went in. I just wanted them clean and painted, but she cut through my skin and tore it out on both sides. Easter Sunday was the next day and I had planned to wear my cute heels I bought, but it was too sore. They were so swollen that the pain lingered for two days. At this very point, I think I've had it with this shop and do intend to find somewhere else. Lastly, I don't know what they're doing, but it seems like they're ALWAYS over charging me. So make sure to tally up what they're doing or you'll be paying more than you should be. read more

Came here for an eyebrow wax after work since I was overdue. My coworkers came here to get their eyebrows waxed in the past and said it was good so I figure I come here since it's near our work. This little nail salon is located behind Maui Mikes and across the street from McDonalds. They have their own little parking lot and luckily I got a parking. I walked in and wrote my name on the clipboard with the service I wanted. Within 2 minutes i was called by B to follow her in the back for my wax. The wax itself was overall fast. I loved that B took her time shaping and plucking any baby hairs. I was happy with the end result of my brows. The price of the eyebrow wax is the cheapest I have ever come across here on Oahu. Definitely will come back here to get my brows maintained. It's a small salon so it can be a little cramped. They do accept walk-ins. read more

OMG .. this place is one jacked up nail salon. First of all ... parking here sucks. Customer Service, is ok. The older woman that have me my pedi and mani, she was in a hurry because she wanted to go home. I told her that she needs to slow down and work on me, because I am a paying customer, then she went off and started talking crap in vietnamese. I told her ... she better not be talking shit or else I am going to shut her ass up myself. As she was putting color on my nails, she kept on missing the sides of my nails, and I kept on tellin her can she go back and repain the sides because she wasn't painting them, then she coped an attitude with me and had someone paint my nails. I said . F**k it so i walked out. I am NEVER comig to this place again. Oh btw ... they don't sterlize their instruments after they use on other clients. My aunty introduced me to this place... Been coming here for over 6 years. To wax my eyebrows and get my toes done. Kim is my favorite. She's really good and takes her time when shaping my eyebrows. I've been to several places in LA, but it's hard to find a business that you're happy with when it comes to waxing and nails. Before living on Oahu, during living on Oahu and after moving to California... I still come here when on the island. I like bringing my grandma where to get pedicures. Just came here the other day when I visited Oahu... they renovated the place. What I don't like is the parking. It's a small private parking lot that is shared with other businesses. It's free to park... but you're lucky if you pull up and a stall is open. They open at 9am and I believe they close at 7pm. Give them a call... or stop by. They are really popular, even men like coming here to get pedicures! There's many of them to service you. Small hole in the wall business. They do have a bathroom. Reasonable prices. Cash and Plastic. Not sure about checks. Walk in's and appointments. No matter where I am... Big Island, Oahu or California... Ive been living in wahiawa for about a year now and cant believe i never thought about giving this salon a chance. In a time crunch i came here to get a much needed mani & pedi. I came around 2:30pm and it was not busy, so i was taken care of right away. Like previous reviews pointed out, it IS a small hole in the wall establishment w/a small shared parking lot, and the salon does look fairly outdated/dusty but the service i received and the prices i paid couldnt be beat. I saw so many people come into the salon just for eyebrow waxing so i decided to ask for that as well. The guy who works there took care of me. I was happy with his service since he had a firm hand and was very detailed and thorough at the same. I would be glad to get him again. The girl who did my eyebrows did a good job and didnt miss plucking any stray hairs that might have gotten left behind ( i checked when i got home). So although this place might have mixed reviews, i'd return. And i'd advise anyone to at least try them if you've ever thought about it. read more

Didn't let me see any other colors except a SELECT FEW of nude shades since I'm in the military. He told me "that's the best shades" I'd like to decide what is the best shade... he was texting and took a phone call while doing my nails. Not to mention, my nail shape is all over the place.
