First time gel nails. Service was excellent and the manicure was magic. My nails have never looked so good.

Do not go here unless you want to be scammed out of your money. I had probably one of the worst experiences I have had at a nail salon at this location. I went in to get a powder set with French and at first everything was pleasant, they ended up charging me 128$ for a very simple set, but I smiled and went on my way because I thought it was cute. Within two days, two of my nails were chipped. And I don't just mean the French, I mean the actual powder had chipped off my nail and exposed my natural nail. I ask if they could fix it, and I first they said yes and made an appointment. When I showed up for my appointment the next day I spoke to Emma and she refused to fix it. She said I would have to pay extra and kept insisting that I had hit my hands on something. I had not hit my hands on anything, I am not working currently and have been doing nothing with my hands. she refused to fix them and also refuse to give me any money back. Definitely the worst customer service there could be. I definitely felt completely scammed out of my money. $130 for not even two days of powder. UPDATE: Edit after the owner's response: The salon continues to insist I must have damaged my nails, which is just simply not true. Within two days, two nails had already chipped that my natural nails were exposed, and shortly afterward both came off completely. My thumb nails also has completely come off now. I have three nails WITH NO POWDER LEFT ON THEM. I have three bare nails. I had returned immediately because the service had failed, not because I expected "free repairs." I have never had this happen to me EVER. I have also never been spoke to so condescending, which you can clearly see in the owner's response, where her description of our conversation is inaccurate. Not taking accountability proves why this place will continue to get negative reviews. Trying to accuse me of being loud when I was extremely calm, and even friendly while also hoping we come to a fair compromise, is wild. The employee I spoke to was condescending and cold. As someone who is currently not using her hands, and not even working, three nails coming off in five days is absolutely the fault of the service. The owner's response only reinforces my experience, as it refuses to acknowledge that three nails failed within days of the appointment. read more

My sidter and I opted for gel and my mom chose regular polish. We aall had a great experience. We were all treated with care, and attention. The employees were professional and the place was very clean! I have been offered filtered water or coffee at every appointment. I asked if they could tell me who serviced me in January, but I was told they don't track that info. I couldn't remember the name, and I never requested anyone specific. If someone assumed otherwise, that's on the staff--not me. About the rescheduling: I noticed open time slots on their site and called to ask if moving from 11:00am to 11:30am was possible. The person on the phone said yes. If it wasn't doable, they could've just said so. That's how appointments work everywhere else. When I arrived at exactly 11:30am, I stood there waiting. No greeting, no direction--just ignored. I don't expect fanfare, but some acknowledgment would've been nice. Blaming me for the lack of front desk coverage isn't it. If you're too busy to have a receptionist during peak hours, that's a staffing issue--not a customer problem. Also, your timeline doesn't match reality. I arrived at 11:30. Lata didn't begin until noon. If you're going to reference timestamps, please be accurate. Saying I arrived late as a justification is just deflection. And banning me from future bookings? That's fine. Honestly, I wouldn't return after how this was handled. Previous customers have had similar issues and provided feedback on Google and Yelp, and all comments are met with hostility. To clarify, once and for all: 1. I respectfully asked to move my appointment. 2. I never requested a specific technician. 3. I showed up on time for both visits. The delays were on your end. 4. I waited with no acknowledgment. That's not a great experience. 5. The timeline in your response is off--check your footage. This is not about wanting royal treatment. It's about respecting a customer's time and being transparent when things don't go as planned. Feedback should be an opportunity for growth--not a reason to insult your customer. I've been here twice. Both times, my appointment started late. That's the consistent issue. My review reflects that. The real issue with this salon is how customers are treated and their lack of accountability. But doubling down with attitude instead of empathy isn't how you build loyalty. Promised update is that Gel-X doesn't stay. Added photos as proof. So sad because I've gotten this done at other places for years and years and have never experienced any separation of gel polish from the extension before but it's happened twice in this set. So sad to say! And I'm very light on my hands. Went to a different salon to get my nail fixed and they noticed lifting on the other nails as well. It's only been 10 days since I got them done! They stated these were low quality (very thin and flimsy) gel-x nails - also not properly done which is why the polish separated from the press on nail. Two days after I first got them done I went back and they fixed my two thumbs (gel separated from the gel-x). They redid the two thumbs completely and said maybe I was typing too hard on my keyboard lol. And then 10 days later the same thing happened to my thumb again. Daughter wanted gel extensions (Japanese Style) for her end of 7th grade/upcoming 13th birthday this summer/all the celebrations in June. Emma did not disappoint. In fact, she is an artist. Emma is caring and patient with young ladies like mine and took the time to explain what would get her nails to looks as much like a photo she brought in as possible. I also got a french manicure and sat with my daughter after I was done since her appointment was much longer. My daughter's nails look like art/jewelry. Well worth the expense and time for this special snap-shot in time in her life. I appreciate that they were so patient and kind with her to figure out what she wanted. Also, the space is beautiful. There is a little waiting table where you can charge your electronics if you are waiting for any reason. Walls and walls of nail colors and treatment types to choose from..... I would recommend that you make an appointment because the place is quite popular with regulars coming in for touch-ups and treatments. I've been to this salon many times and have had many different technicians, most great. My manicures last a long time from here. My one piece of feedback is that I think they could use a regular employee in charge of front desk and appointments. There is sometimes confusion/lack of communication that I think stems from not having someone assigned to be a receptionist only. That said, I know it's common practice amongst nail salons in nyc. Fabulous structural gel manicure! I went in looking for help with a nail starting to tear below the nail bed (potentially painful!) and the intensely hard structural gel did the trick to help keep the tear from expanding while the nail grows. Color choice is very extensive as well and I was able to get the color of my dreams. I have one issue with the salon though which is not really their fault but impacts the experience. On one visit for a pedicure a woman in a nearby chair (there are only 4; the place is small) was talking business on her phone the entire time. On this last manicure visit the woman two chairs down was listening to a podcast with earbuds -- but so loudly I could almost make out from the soundbleed what was being said. Can't salons encourage etiquette to promote an enjoyable spa-like experience? It's not my job to tell their customers how to behave. There are many other signs about pricing, policies, etc. -- a few more asking customers to be considerate of their neighbors might be helpful. read more

I just got a UV gel fill & design with K and she did an amazing job!!! I always book my appointments online and select "any artist" to do my service, so I was matched with K today. I've always bounced around between artists here, but K is seriously the best!! She went super fast, but very efficient with the fill (drilling to remove, filing to shape, buffing to prep, and then the actual UV gel polish & curing) which I loved. She took her time with the length, shape, designs, and colors. She double checked that I was happy with every step, which made me feel super comfortable & welcomed.
