Had an appointment--waited over 20 minutes without being seen in an empty salon. When I asked what was going on, the owner casually brushed me off, saying "no one's available." Really? Because I watched two employees pacing around, laughing, doing absolutely nothing. Then, at 7 o'clock, more people started walking in and suddenly the owner and the woman who'd been hiding in the back decided they could actually start working. Funny how that works. No apology, no accountability, no urgency and definitely no respect for customers' time. And those glowing reviews? Don't be fooled--they offer a $5 discount for leaving a good Google or Yelp review. This became my go-to spot in New York -- it's very clean, comfortable, and a quiet/relaxing atmosphere. Typically no talking at all, I wouldn't go here if with a friend. I was always able to get an appointment and things were done well! I do think some of the technicians are better than others but I was never hugely disappointed or anything. I just felt at times my nails looked better after than others. Still, would recommend! read more

I walked in asking if they had availability for a gel manicure and regular pedicure and was immediately helped by the team who works here. There was no direct gel polish match for the regular polish I chose for my toes, so the manager brought over all of the matching colors, and the tech helped me color match so that I had a matching set. They also had another tech starting on the cuticle work for my gel manicure while I was in the pedicure chair. This salon is incredibly clean and professional and I will be returning. Also, the price is very fair for the outstanding work that the nail techs perform. read more

Came in today for a Japanese gel manicure and received the worst service I've ever had in a salon. My technician, Elaine Zhou, was incredibly rude - arguing with me about how I wanted my nails and insulting how they looked before she worked on them, throwing around my hands when switching which one she was working on, and saying a ton of things under her breath and to her coworkers. Didn't deserve any tip though I tipped her - and she didn't thank me for it either. If you're working in the service industry, you need to be able to talk to people and provide that service in a nice way - she missed the mark on this completely and needs to be retrained. Could have had my steady business as I get a $100 manicure every 2-3 weeks, but I'll be taking my business elsewhere. Go to Modern Spa on 72nd - better service and much nicer people. Don't come here. Wish I could give 0 stars. read more

Nails for us is definitely one of my favorite nail salons I've come across in the city! I've had two gel manicures from here and the nail techs are so professional, nice and attentive. Most recently, I was offered a complimentary back massage while Joanna did my nails which made my experience all the more incredible. I was so impressed at Joanna's meticulousness/level of attention-to-detail to ensure each nail was shaped and painted evenly. I'll start off by saying the quality of the service from technician Lili is top notch and I'd recommend her in a heartbeat. But the customer service by the management is atrocious. I come every two to three weeks and have always made an appointment in advance, and provide plenty of notice if I need to cancel. I was told they're no longer accepting appointments on weekends and when I tried to get a manicure with Lili today I was told I'd have to wait two hours! This is incredibly disappointing and is a major turn-off to customers. I will try to come back but only if things change. read more

I have gone to this place a few times. The powder manicures do not last as long as in other salons. The salon is clean and well-maintained. However, each time I have gone, the staff has been rude, inattentive and seems rushed. The last time I went, my nail technician was rushing to bounce between myself and another customer while another nail technician roamed around the salon, not assisting the rest of the staff. In addition, a 5 paragraph letter hangs at all stations explaining why their staff deserves to be tipped at least 20%. After only 4 days, 2 of my powder nails began chipping. After 5 days, it was 3. I went in after 7 days to have 3 of the nails repaired only to have a member of staff tell me "it wasn't their fault and that I hit something with my nail." I have had powder manicures consistently for years and anything of quality has lasted at least 2 weeks. When I showed them nails on both hands were chipped, the male owner of the salon told me "not to blame them". I simply asked for them to be repaired. I walked out and will not go back again. read more

Firstly, I would start off with the positive feedback. The nail salon was very clean and prompt service. However, my experience was not great. My nail tech Elaine was unpleasant and rude for no reason at all. It seemed a hassle for her to do her job. I have gone twice now and the first time was fantastic, the sns dip lasted a solid 3 1/2 weeks. I went last week and have a different nail tech, within 3 days 3 of my nails chipped off.
