They do everything they can to make you feel safe to get nail done during COVID. They ask your info, take temperature and ask you to wash your hands when you walk in. They sanitize chair and desk every time someone finish or before someone new comes in, there are divider between all chairs and empty seat in the middle. I feel completely safe to get my nail done and it is a big deal to get one of my normal routine back during COVID and I really appreciate they put all their efforts to stay open during this crazy time.

Stopped in here on a whim to see if I could get a last minute fill in. Katty was excellent. She took her time to make sure my nails were shaped exactly how I wanted. If I didn't live so far away, I'd be back more often.

This is what I asked for...

Terrible. I asked for what I thought would be simple design, and it turned out TERRIBLE. I paid $65 for this embarrassing gel manicure. I had to get my nails redone 2 days later because it was so embarrassing. I still can't believe they charged me full price for what's so terrible looking. Never again will I be back here. I want a refund.

Picture doesn't do the cut justice. It is irritated and stings.

I couldn't decide what to give this place. Here is why: I am new to the city & needed to find a nail salon fast. I checked the reviews of this place and was hopeful! When I arrived, I walked into a very cramped nail salon. All was well, and I was hopeful. I sat down with nail tech Susie and she got to work on my dip powder manicure. Let me tell you, it HURT. She was very rough with my nails, so much so when she was filing my cuticles?? She made one of them bleed. I told her it hurt and to be careful and she said "okay" and then put acetone on it I tried to be polite but dang it hurt. She also was very sloppy with lotion application. When she rinsed my hands, water splashed everywhere (my arms, lap, all over the table), but she didn't seem to care. Long story short, she rushed so much, I didn't feel like she valued me as a customer, and I was cut however, I did leave with a good manicure ‍ but it was the negative experience and environment that will keep me from going there again.

** 3.5 STAR REVIEW ** My usual nail salon closed down and I went on Yelp to rely on my trusted Yelpers to point me in the right direction. This is what lead me to Susie's Nail Salon. I called around 11am this morning to see if I needed an appointment to come in later today, to where the woman responded yes, so I made one. I arrived a minute or two after my 2pm appointment and was quickly asked to take a seat at one of the spa pedicure station seats. I chose an orange-coral color for my toes and a French Manicure. The chairs do massage your back while you're receiving your pedicure. The employee did a great job on my toes and we went on to do my French Manicure. This is where it got a little tough for her. The tips were uneven and sizing was all off. Luckily the owner, Susie, was sitting right her and quickly jumped in to fix the issue by having another employee do my french tips for her; mind you I did not have to say anything for this to happen which was great. After I was all done I was moved to the drying station. There I noticed that the largest toe on my right foot had a dent in the nail polish. I quickly asked if it was OK to have it fixed and she came back to me with two different corals, a red-coral and an orange-coral. I told her that it was the orange-coral, but she stated that they were both actually the same color and she knew she used the red-coral on me -- so, not wanting to argue, I agreed with her and allowed her to paint my large toenail with the red-coral. After about 30mins of drying and two layers of top coat I was ready to go. I got some plastic on my toes, got my socks and shoes on and headed out. I didn't get home till 4hrs later and both my manicure and pedicure still look fantastic. The downside is that I can seriously tell that the big toenail on my right foot is a red-coral color while the rest of my toes are an orange-coral color =(. None-the-less I'll still come back and just hope it doesn't happen again; or at least remember the name of the color I use. I hope I found my new usual nail salon; if so, I'll probably be updating my review to give them that last star as I continue to visit.

My acrylic filling manicure (and pedicure) from Susie's (which didn't chip and looked perfect for about 3 weeks!)

I've gone to Susie's Nail Salon for a few years now and I can't recommend Susie and her team highly enough! It's a relatively small salon which I really appreciate because it allows me to know all of the manicurists by name, and they also know me and all of their regular clients personally which makes me (and I'm sure other clients) feel appreciated and valued! They are extremely professional, thorough and meticulous, talented, thoughtful, kind, accommodating, and really take their time with every service. It's absolutely the best salon I've found on the UWS (and in NYC). My nails always look amazing and my manicures and pedicures last 3+ weeks!! Go to Susie's and I promise you won't regret it!

My daughter and I both enjoyed our deluxe nail treatments today at Susie's Nails! The nail techs take pride in their work and they create a loving space to be pampered This little nail shop is a joy!

We liked this place and two teens were happy with their nails. Very clean and attentive. Lots of color options !

The final product looks nice but the whole time I kept saying "Ow!" (I've been getting acrylics for the past 10 years now), because she was filing my skin! Now my fingers are so sore and hurt so much that I can't even run them through my hair!

I love Susie's nail salon!! I have terrible nails (thin and dry) so I regularly come here for gel manicures ($37 if paying with a card). They have tons of color options - bright colors, nudes, dark colors, shimmer and changing colors. The gel manicures here always last me 2 weeks, but sometimes longer, depending on how long my nails are. I think if my nails were thicker they would probably last even longer! Definitely make an appointment if you are going to go on an evening or weekend. All of the staff is friendly and detail-oriented - I love Brianna and Irina but have had a great experience with everyone there. Also the salon is always clean. Also I always forget but tips are cash only!

I highly recommend Miss Bliss for superior quality and service!…read more I was in NY for work and desperately needed to get my nails done before a trade show. I found Miss Bliss on Yelp as a business open Sunday evening and walked in around 5 (they close at 7). All the seats were full and 2 girls already waiting, so they advised the wait would be an hour bc of this existing appointments. No problem for me since I thought this was still plenty of time to get in before closing. They were able to seat me around 5:45. I requested Gel-x (my first time but also my nails were pretty short and damaged from my picking off the last gel as it grew out). Jenny began meticulously working on cleaning my cuticles and sizing me up for the tips. I don't know what they look for, but she definitely worked through the different size options, and even re-applied one of the tips bc she noticed something was off. Honestly, I don't think I have have noticed but I do appreciate her attention to detail, she obviously cares about her craft. So 7 pm rolls around, the 3 other customers that were still there and had wrapped up their nail sessions. Julie, the other nail tech offers to finish up my polish design to let Jenny go home to her kids. I'm definitely feeling bad for keeping them past closing, and I am secretly hoping they rush through the polish so they can leave. NOPE! Julie takes her time on my design, and finishes up with a nice neck and hand massage, warm towel, and we all finally close up at 830. I am super grateful they continued to dedicate time to my service, while not sacrificing quality. Left a fat tip since I know Jenny and Julie will be splitting. Looking forward to coming back here on a future NY trip! Next time I will make an appointment though

my rating is between 3.5 and 4…read more i called ahead to see if they had any availability, and since they had pretty good ratings on google and yelp, i decided to go for it. my nails were getting way too long anyways. it was a very typical nail salon, the exact kind you would imagine when you think of one. she didn't ask what length i wanted and just went straight for the cut. by the time it came to filing, my nails ended up super short, and i am definitely a longer nail kind of girl. i'm not sure if she simply forgot to ask, but i'd like to think she was looking out for me and knew my nails would chip if they were kept too long. i went for a regular gel manicure since i told myself my nails need a break after this. when she was done, she gave me a shoulder massage, but it was very brief (shorter than the typical massages you get at nail appointments) and only on one shoulder, which felt a little odd. upon leaving, i immediately noticed a flaw on my left thumb. there were visibly tiny bumps, and once i noticed them, they kept bothering me. my conclusion: always go to the nail salon you trust, and that is exactly what i should've done.

As a result, my nail was damaged during the process. It's crucial to remove gel X correctly to prevent damage, and I don't understand how they can offer this service without knowing how to remove it properly. They also didn't even try to provide a discount due to the damage, which reflects awful customer service

I had a very disappointing experience at this salon…read more When I called to book an appointment, I clearly explained that I already had hard gel on my nails and asked how much it would cost to remove it and get a new gel manicure. They told me $70.20, and no one mentioned that the price could be higher. During the appointment, it became clear that they didn't know how to remove my previous gel properly. It wasn't a "different type of gel" -- they just didn't know how to do it correctly. Instead of properly filing it off with the machine, they only removed the color layer. Then they wrapped my nails in foil and left me sitting there while the nail technician did a full pedicure for another client, without saying a word to me. I was just waiting the entire time. When she finally came back, she seemed surprised that the gel was still there -- and only then started removing it with the machine. She never explained anything to me, and I felt very uncomfortable because they were clearly experimenting on my nails. In any professional salon, hard gel is removed completely with a machine -- not like this. At the end, they told me the total was $164. I was shocked. They said it was because of a "different gel" and a "different service," which wasn't true -- I had told them in advance that it was hard gel. If they had informed me that the price would be higher, I would have decided whether to continue or not. When I calmly explained that no one mentioned this, they refused to listen. Then, when I asked to speak with the employer (the boss/owner) who wasn't there at the time, she got on the phone and spoke very rudely, claiming the nail master had told me about the higher cost -- which was a complete lie. The worst part is that they both started threatening to call the cops, even though I was polite and honest the entire time. I ended up paying with my foreign card, using my last money, but the way they treated me was absolutely unacceptable. While I was talking to the employer, the nail master stood there chewing gum and didn't even look at me. It was clear they were covering for each other. She never told me about any extra charge. I left the salon very upset and disappointed. I believe honesty, professionalism, and communication are the most important parts of good service -- unfortunately, I didn't experience any of that here. How can professional staff, instead of listening or offering any solution, threaten me by saying, "We will call the cops! We will call the cops!!!"? I've been doing my nails regularly for five years, and I've never had such awful quality and service. They didn't know how to remove the gel properly and then put all their mistakes, my waiting time, and the extra costs on me and my pocket. To make things worse, the final work was low quality -- on my pinky finger, they added Gel-X and didn't even file or shorten it. It's longer than my other nails and hurts
