Although the place was packed, the staff were welcoming and assigned us to our pedicure chairs as soon as they were available. I sat back and relaxed in my pedi-massage chair, adjusting the settings to the Knot-Grinding Channel. The equipment was clean, and the prices were so cheap I had to go for a French pedicure. It came out beautifully, with a pinkish tinge (instead of the usual neutral color). The French pedicure lasted for almost a month. I will definitely be back! This place is hit and miss but when it's a hit it's pretty awesome! I have never made a appointment, always walked in and they're very accommodating ( although weekends can be busy). Most of the ladies remember me even though I don't come that often, they're always quick to sit me and quick to get me out of there! Lily is my favorite manicurist, she's very professional and friendly and obviously skilled at what she does. She's wonderful at doing French mani/pedis and had the patience to do my acrylics as well. THEY DISCRIMINATE. I came in Monday to ask if they could fix one nail. They said they didn't have time Monday and to come back Tuesday, yesterday. I went in Tuesday, as they said. I asked what can they do to fix my nail. She said she didn't have the color or powder to fix my nail. I can understand that so I asked her what can she do. She said she could do NOTHING to fix one nail. I NEVER asked for her to fix it for FREE. My nails are an acrylic full set; there are other powders she could have used. She could have used crystals to hide the fact that my nail wasn't the same as my others. OR use a mattifying gel top coat from OPI. Instead she said there was nothing she could. There is a cosmoprof (licensed professionals retailer) in the same shopping complex - anyone holding a license can enter that store and by any nail supply they need, including powders. In addition other nail technicians tried to corroborate her story, and say that the person I spoke to yesterday didn't know what he was talking about. Nice try, I've been getting my nails done since I was 13. WHAT IT FELT LIKE IS THAT SHE DIDNT WANT TO DO MY NAIL ESPECIALLY SINCE I'M BLACK. Apparently BLACK money isn't good money. PS. Came here because I was in desperate need of a manicure. I was able to walk in without an appointment. No wait, but fairly busy. I isn't get the name of the women who did my nails, but she was amazing. Very gentle, and cleaned my nails very nicely. Also she had asked if I wanted gel, and after politely declining, she didn't ask again. Which at other salons become obnoxious, and sometimes you just give in. No complaints. I have been going to Helen for years. She's amazing and a great family friend. She runs a great nail salon. She is so friendly and it's a great clean place. It reminded me of the old Seinfeld episode where Elaine brings George's father into the salon to translate and figure out if they were talking about her (he supposedly picked up the language during his experience in the military). This place is amazing. I've gone twice so far, Tina did my UV gel manicure and Lauren did my pedicure. Both ladies did a great job. Their prices are very competitive; $25 for the UV gel, $30 for a pedicure with a hot stone massage, leg scrub and moisturizing mask (wrapped in hot towels), and a paraffin mask for my feet. The second time, Lynn did a wonderful job on my French UV gel manicure, $30. Lynn has great attention to detail, and although there are some language barriers, she and I had a long conversation about my job. A friend of mine introduced me to this place. Helen the owner is really accommodating. I have been coming here for about 8 months and they always do a good job on my pedicure and manicure. I bring my 6 year old daughter and they do a great job on her nails too. If you're in the area give them a try and if you don't like something like the design, nail color etc. Helen is always more than happy to make a change for you. She never wants you to leave unsatisfied. Minus 1 star because I one of the girls ticked me off last time. I don't know her name but know her face. She was doing a design for my daughter and one nail was messed up. I asked her to re-do it and it appeared to bother her. Now when I go to any place I expect you to treat my child better than me. I've been going here with my friend Claudia for a long time. I love the service, and for the price, I also really like the work they do. My nail polish is always well applied and they do a great job with my cuticles and shaping my short nails. Today, I got the shellac polish on my hands and floral design on my big toes. This place sucks. Totally not worth the $. I got my french manicure and pedicure done two days ago, almost all of them are chipped by now. I've had french done at many other places, and they are usually good for at least a week if not longer. The lady doing my pedicure dropped the clipper on the floor and she just picked it up and used it on me without even cleaning it. There's a couple of nails that I thought they didn't look too balanced, they lady just filed them a little looking all pissed off. I really like this place - it is my go-to nail salon for mani/pedis. They have a nice selection of magazines and usually have the news playing on their large-screen TV. The staff is very nice and almost always in good spirits. They work quickly and efficiently without making me feel rushed. Their base price is pretty reasonable for a mani/pedi but they do try to up-sell a little bit to their deluxe pedi (paraffin wax, longer massage). I've gotten the deluxe also and it's really nice but just stand firm if you don't want to spend the extra money. If you do find yourself in the mood to splurge, I really like the nail designs they can do for $5-- kind of a fun treat. I love this place... I have been coming for the past year or so, It's very affordable and Helen makes sure to get me in every time I come, even when I come late/early to my appointment or walk in with out one, she is a master at shuffling around so everyone can get in and out timely and the best person working for you. I don't even have to tell them what I am in for, I am a creature of habit, but she also has a sharp memory and anticipates my needs. I get my eyebrows done here and only here, they've given me the arch I've always wanted and thought was unattainable. I get my toes and nails done, either shelac or gel polish and when feeling the financial pinch can go up to three weeks without a chip or fill needed (unless I have a rowdy weekend, which in case i just sneak in Monday morning and she fills it for me in a jiffy) I go here for the amazing and affordable prices and great service, Helen takes constructive criticism very well and always makes sure I leave happy. I don't go anywhere else... I've tried pricey salons and the only differences is that their prices are ridiculous and my nails still don't last as long as when I go here. My new favorite nail salon. Was going to go to another nail salon in the same strip mall but they only took cash, so I thought I'd try this place out. I've been here 4 times since and they've done exactly what I want every time. It's not a fancy place, but they keep it clean and work hard to make sure you like how your nails turn out. You have to *communicate*. If you don't, how are they gonna know what you want? I describe exactly what I want every time, and it turns out exactly how I want. They just know by now and I don't even have to say anything. They talk to you when you wanna talk, but mostly they let you sit back and relax. Let me tell you the horror story of nails number 1. A girl and her friend were looking for a place to be pampered after being away from each other for a very long time. Nails number 1 was recommended to them as a fun place with amazing service, but upon arrival they soon realized their day would be ruined. The water was cold, even though they asked politely for it to be hotter. Their hangnails were yanked and blood was shed (literally). And finally, their pedicures were outrageously horrible.
