This salon seemed ok after coming a few times for just a pedicure. But I have noticed them using the small buffers and files (throw away ones) but they appear to already be used, as they have white powder in them already. I also witnessed the male who works there being very rude to two customers and scolding them and blaming them. The way he talked to them, was very rude (separate parties, so two times he lashed out with different people). My nail lady literally refused the lowest cost pedicure and forced me to get the second cheapest after going back and for at least four times of me telling her the cheapest was fine. The "scrub" and "massage" that this one included where not worth the cost. Also since when is it ok to just use power tools to do the pedicure and not actually cut cuticles, it's such a lazy thing to do, and yes her files for that were dirty as well. I will not be returning here. read more

I am picky when it comes to my pedis, and it took me a long time to find someone like Karina, who values what she does, takes her time, and is also a great conversationalist. I went in after I called for an appointment and requested gel builder. After sitting, I could hear the owner Tan telling the tech to only apply one coat of gel builder. I have had gel builder done over the past 4 years and thought that was odd. I spoke up but the tech continued on and really applied the thinnest layer possible. It didn't look great but i had hopes that it might look ok in the end. I can still hear him talking to her. While she's still working on my nails he comes around to tell her "top coat, top coat" this hurt my feelings a lot more than i thought it would. I stepped away and mentioned i was done. I verbalized at this point that the quality was bad for gel builder and the final look was ugly. Tan offered to "fix" the issues but at this point it was more than just the nails for me, he made me feel absolutely horrible with his side comments as a first time customer. I paid and generously tipped but vowed never to return. They have customers but definitely not for me. My nails chipped as soon as i got home. read more

When I first walked into Nailspa Excel I was immediately at peace, which says a lot considering it was one of those days for me. A man greeted me, he was patient and listened to some of my frustrations from that day as I waited for my appointment with my girl Angel! I was offered physical comfort in addition to a peace of mind by him. The nail salon has an overall calming energy, and I wish they would share a QR code link to the playlist (every time I am in the salon someone is asking about the music since the playlist is A+). They have a wide selection of services and a great range of colors to choose from. Many different shades of each color. I think I usually get the lemon dream pedicure, but I have heard great things about the lavender manicure and pedicure (I am hoping to try this on my next visit). I initially started coming to Nailspa Excel when Angel moved to this nail salon. I have been working with Angel since 2019 or about 2020. Angel is a professional in all ways, and most importantly she is meticulous about cleanliness, with her craft, and with her art. She GENUINELY cares about her clients, and is VERY respectful of her clients wishes. I use to stick to basic designs and colors with my nails when I first started to see Angel, but after seeing her work time and time again on instagram and on me I trusted her more and more. So I wanted to experiment with my nails at my own pace, which she has done a phenomenal job at. I now usually get a gelx manicure (shortened to be able to work in science labs), and I use my own normal nongel polish for a pedicure. Thank you soo much Angel for being so patient with me, for working at my comfort levels, and just overall for being the amazing gem of a person you are! I must say this nail salon attends you fast. You can see they actually care for their customers and listen to them (as in the customers). If it's your first time getting nails I recommend this place HIGHLY. They try to get to know their customers and they try to get customers to interact and connect together. Which is a nice change to see since most nail salons nail techs close themselves off. My sister had a bad experience at a nail salon recently and this nail salon really took great care of her. I appreciate and thank the staff for that my deepest respect for them. My sister was quiet and I think the nail tech felt she didn't like it but my sister really liked her nails.
