I ordered a mango coconut buttermilk pancake with a side potatoes. My friend ordered blueberry pancakes. We were given the option of having our pancakes gluten free. The pancakes were good, not the best I've ever had but good and fresh with lots of mango and coconuts. The potatoes were also yummy with good rosemary flavor. My husband and I dined here with our dogs on April 28th. They have an outdoor seating area that's dog friendly. I ended up ordering the Blue Planet Latte, Artichoke Scramble, and one slice of the Coconut French Toast. My husband I shared the French Toast and he ordered the Buff Burritos. I love artichokes so the Artichoke scramble really hit the spot, however I wasn't a fan of the latte, the texture and too much cinnamon for my liking. I like all the various vegetarian/vegan options they offer too. I've mentioned before I'm very hard to please so this is five stars for the quality of food as well as location. Matcha latte is delicious and very large. I visited on multiple occasions (based in Phoenix, but visit San Diego often) and have visited this location almost every time ...in fact we drive out of our way to come here. Generally, the portions are fairly large.. The service is always friendly. The breakfast quesadilla wasn't very memorable or my favorite but the beans that came along side were outstanding and anything I've ordered on previous visits has been delicious. This is a small restaurant chain, so at Naked Café Solana Beach, which appears to have one of the closes patios that exposes you to the beach and sea breeze. We had just finished feeble attempts at surfing and they seated us, wet and a mess, promptly. There are 2 patio area, an elevated one with a formal covering (which for obvious reasons we didn't sit in) and the lower one with umbrellas (we also had enough sun for the day and the umbrellas provided plenty of shade - no umbrella dancing to stay in the shade). After a morning of surf, I was starved so I ordered the Steak Tenderloin Hash. It came out very quickly and somewhat over cooked. There was a fair amount of tenderloin medallions with a pleasant meaty flavor. The scrambled eggs were fairly stiff and bland. The toast had great texture but was also bland. We also had the Meditation Bowl Wok with Marinated Grilled Chicken. This came out very quickly and the chicken seemed dry and chewy. You could tell it was marinated, perhaps teriyaki-ish? The glazed shitake mushrooms were flavorful but the other vegetables were on the bland side. read more

Its across from the ocean front parking lot, with easy beach access & kids playground to boot, what more can you ask for? I also had the Pesto Scramble while my man had the Steak Tenderloin Hash (photos attached). All were filling with generous portion sizes. We dined on a Saturday morning and it was just a short wait before we were seated. It does get pretty busy so I'd recommend getting there early. All wait staff was running around very busily to attend to all customers in a timely fashion. Parking is mostly street parking but it's not bad as you can enjoy the beach air and views on your way back to your car! I should have stopped there, but our greedy appetites wanted more. So we balanced out our sweet dish with savory dishes like the vegan Yang the Yin Yang which was served with black beans, Jack cheese, green onion, tomatoes, and rosemary potatoes, a vegan sausage with a flour tortilla side. This healthy and hefty combo was de-lish! My other half enjoyed the steak tenderloin hash with scrambled eggs, tomatoes, green onions, and 4 crispy sides of bacon. It was quite busy on a Sunday in Del Mar, understandably so. Staff is quick and efficient. A server did spill a plate with red salsa onto our table that splashed us, while navigating some awkwardly placed tables by the wall, but we could not fault her because she was really apologetic and it was an understandable mistake. We had sides of steak cuts, avocado, cheese and scrambled eggs. We ordered fries too that didn't come, but the food was so plentiful we did not mind. We had a coconut mango and a strawberry chocolate pancake. My coconut pancake was delish!! It tasted light and tropical with a perfect hint of sweetness. I washed it all down with coffee and our server offered me an iced refill to go which was delicious too. Naked, also paradoxically to the name, is stylish, dressed with wall paintings depicting sunsets, surfs and sandy scapes. The outdoor seating is all wooden-slats, vibrant peaches and pinks, giving off surfer vibes with a side of hip. Great spot! read more
