I'm always shocked why it takes so long for me to fry places . Honestly, I usually am in the area much later than NL closes. So Naked Lunch is inside the Mom's grocery story at their registers. It's like Chipotle with fresh juice for vegetarians. I loved their fast service, taste of the food, and freshness of the ingredients. I got the smoker bowl and it did not disappoint. Keep in mind the portions are hefty. I think I left with a 3 lb eco friendly container of food. I will definitely be back.

I just found my new favorite lunch spot! Located inside Mom's Organic Market, Naked Lunch is a small lunch/bar station that whips up healthy, fresh, and ALL ORGANIC steam bowls, vegan burgers, and juices. The steam bowls are $7.75 for one base and 5 toppings. If you order their bowl specials, there are more than 5 toppings in the bowl. This was my first trip here and I had the Lin Bowl. The service was a little slow, granted everything is made fresh to order, so I was more than happy to wait. Although the Lin Bowl comes with brown rice, they had no problem switching the brown rice for kale per my request. Lin Bowl ingredients: tofu, pea shoots, dried seaweed, zucchini, mushroom, sunflower oil, kimchi, and a lemon/lime wedge. Everything was SOOOOO fresh since it's organic. I even ate the entire lemon wedge (the skin was peeled off). I will come back to try their Yam Jam and pretty much everything else on their menu. Will definitely be updating.

Love! Healthy, fresh, vegetarian/ vegan and organic. This is my goto place for lunch or dinner or for just a veggie juice. Choose your own veggie juice, with a base of carrot, orange or apple. Or you can skip those and make it all green - $6 for a 16 oz/ Large size. Create your own salads or rice or steam bowls - $7.75. They have a variety of greens, vegetables raw and cooked, tofu and tempeh and some beans and grains. They also have bowl specials. I like the Lin bowl, and they used to have the Peruvian bowl on their menu board (avocado, black beans, brown rice). They also have sandwiches. My old favorite is the Fakin' Bacon (tempeh with sauteed apples, brie cheese and vegenaise). They do update their items once in awhile - I saw a "crabcake sandwich" on their board. I think the price is on the high side (though their juices are fair and worth it and there's not a lot of fresh organic juicers in town), but ultimately I'm just happy there is one place (another Naked lunch in Rockville) like this that exists.

I just sort of stumbled on this place after a long day of shopping in the mosaic district. It is located right inside mom's grocery store, to the left when you first enter. I ordered a black bean burger, which comes with a side salad and dressing, and a pink lady kombucha drink. The employees were all very nice despite the lunch rush. When my burger arrived, i couldn't believe how tasty it was! I was a vegetarian once before and I don't ever recall having a black bean burger that was perfectly put together, without falling apart. Brit tip: Enjoy your food right there in the store! Why wait to try deliciousness?! There is seating, although not many, provided right by the ordering counter.

HALLELUJAH the CRABLESS CEAB SANDWICH IS BAAAAAAACK! I was so sad when it went away - it is insanely good! Please try it. I have it with the kale and salad salad with lime jalapeño dressings and stick it in the sandwich sometimes even. It's one of my favorite meals!!! Don't break my heart and take that sh off the menu again Naked Lunch!

Updated Review (previously 5 stars) due to poor management response:…read more Management has changed since my last visit, and boy, this place is not what it used to be, and that makes me sad. About four years ago, I happily gave this restaurant 5 stars and recommended it to others. Unfortunately, my most recent experience was the complete opposite. During my meal, I discovered ANTS actively crawling around my food. (See video) It was disturbing to watch them around the sauce next to my meal, and I immediately stopped eating because I no longer felt comfortable consuming the rest of it. What disappointed me even more was how management handled the situation afterward. It was extremely difficult to get in touch with the manager despite multiple attempts. When I finally spoke with him, he refused to provide a refund because more than 30 days had passed since my visit. Given the nature of the complaint and the difficulty I had reaching management, I found that response completely unreasonable. I also raised concerns about being asked questions during my visit that made me feel racially stereotyped. Those concerns were never acknowledged or addressed by management, which only added to my disappointment. Because I believed this was a legitimate food safety issue, I filed a complaint with the Fairfax County Health Department. After investigating, the inspector informed me that they visited the restaurant, discussed my concerns with the manager, and that the manager confirmed my reported ant sightings. The Health Department also required additional pest control measures. Beyond the service issues, I also noticed a significant decline in the food. The wonton soup was bland and lacked the rich flavor I remembered, and the General Tso's Surprise tasted off and was missing the depth and spice that used to make it one of my favorite dishes. This restaurant used to be one of my favorite vegetarian spots, which is why writing this review is so disappointing. Based on my recent experience, the difficulty in getting in touch with management, and their total lack of customer service or care for loyal customers, I can't recommend dining here. They do not care about their customers based on how I was treated.

Decided on this little spot in Fairfax town center after having a quick weekend day trip to DC. Really pleasantly surprised with the whole atmosphere of the place. It's a true fusion of asian bites but still a legitimate dive bar. The space is small, patrons are merry, and the whole place is an absolute vibe. I ordered some pilsner and some other lager on tap from local breweeies. Delicious. Ordered popcorn chicken, pork belly, and some 'real food' - a quick rice bowl with chicken. The fried bites were wonderfully crispy. They have good oil management and felt quite light especially with a swig of a cold lager. The rice bowl was tasty too. Construction was indeed very Taiwanese, and yet... I still felt like I'm in a dive bar complete with all its grunge. So cool They sell 4/6 packs of craft brews here too. They've got stuff all the way up from some Vermont and Maine (true craft beer land IMO)

Since I was already in Fairfax, I finally had the chance to stop by Ned's New England Deck for lunch. I'd noticed they served whole belly clams, and I hadn't had them in years--not since my last trip to Maine, where my mom was from. Growing up, we spent summers there, and whole belly clams were always one of my favorite treats. They're almost impossible to find here in the DMV. I have to admit, I've had plenty of experiences where I get excited to try something and it ends up being disappointing. That definitely wasn't the case here. The fried whole belly clam platter was absolutely delicious. The clams were perfectly cooked, and the portion was generous enough that I saved the coleslaw for later. Yes, seafood is expensive, but this meal was worth it. The staff made the experience even better. The gentleman taking orders was genuinely kind. While I waited for my takeout order, he offered me a glass of water, which was especially appreciated after a busy morning of volunteering. It's a small gesture, but those little acts of kindness make a difference. The restaurant itself is charming, with both indoor and outdoor seating, and it reminded me of the casual seafood places I remember from Maine. They even have a fun promotion where you can roll dice for a chance to upgrade your lobster roll, which I thought was a nice touch. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in Fairfax. If you've been looking for authentic whole belly clams in the DMV, this is the place to go.
