Decided to try Naked Lunch after seeing all these photos of delicious looking meals and I'm so glad I did! The food is totally worth the price because they give you way more than enough to make you full from just eating half the portion! I ordered the jammed yam and just holding the box, it felt like it was easily over a pound haha. Everything tasted delicious and healthy. The ordering process was straight forward and the employees were always so courteous/kind if I had any questions. Plenty of parking in the lot out front which was also super convenient.

Always a treat to come here for a quick bite. You can order on the menu or make your own. For now they have closed down their dining space in compliance with social distancing. This doesn't at all affect the quality of the food. Hefty portions great to divide up and portioned it for your next meal. I love this place! If you want to eat clean and be on a plant based diet check this out.

I like this location better than the Merrifield one. I always order the cauliflower steak or the black bean burger. I'd highly recommend either option! This time, I went with the black bean burger and got the vegan cashew cheese. That sounds frightening, but it's actually really good and creamy! You get to choose between a side of pretzels or greens. The greens are a kale/spinach mix with your choice of dressing. Their customer service isn't stellar, which is why I'm holding back on giving it 5 stars. Also, depending on who you have making your food, portion size can sometimes be inconsistent. It always tastes great though!

If you want fresh tasting veggie based foods look no further. This place has it and more! Upon arrival some of the items were sold out (mainly grains)... however was able to create a pretty amazing selection. It's like if you are a Chop't fan... you'd absolutely love Naked Lunch! Such a gem.

Love me some Naked Lunch. Big bowls of fresh and organic ingredients topped with flavorful sauces create my favorite meals. My favorite meals are the roasted and well marinated cauliflower steak, the jammed yam with southwest ingredients of black beans, jalapeño and cilantro, and the lin bowl with asian ingredients of tofu, seaweed, kimchi, and sesame oil. I also love their muffins that I save for breakfast the following day, and their soups. Their cashew cream and creamed corn soup makes me a soup lover. And the fact that all the ingredients are clean and organic is the best part. I can't say I love everyone that work here. A few can be a bit rude, and depending on who makes your bowl, they overdress it sometimes where my sweet potato and quinoa in my jammed yam is swimming in dressing. I appreciate it when they ask how much dressing I want. Otherwise, there isn't a place around with better value and quality bowls.

It's connected to Mom's Organic. Love that all their food is organic but didn't seem clean could be because I went after lunch rush. The gentleman who prepared the salad was very nice and professional. Made a great kale salad. One of the other employee was in a rush, talked around packed food and left. I would come back to this place maybe to try their smoothies next time.

Good stuff! M suggested we eat here after our spa day and this was the perfect choice. Such wholesome food, that tastes great and is good for you. It's connected to MOM's Organic Market. There is counter seating in here and restrooms are in the back. Employees are friendly and quick. The Jammed Yam was incredibly filling and jam packed with flavor. A large sweet potato topped with quinoa, pineapples, avocado, jalapeños, and lime-jalepeno dressing. If you want a combination of sweet and spicy, you've met your match. Definitely try one of their freshly made juices, its incredibly refreshing. I'm really glad we tried this place out and I will definitely have to be back!

Great little place for vegetarian and lunch. Very tasty and fresh. Quick service. Not a lot of seating, just a counter so good for takeout.

Healthy clean food but the price is too high for me to regularly visit for lunch. For a bowl and smoothie cost me $20+.

Updated Review (previously 5 stars) due to poor management response:…read more Management has changed since my last visit, and boy, this place is not what it used to be, and that makes me sad. About four years ago, I happily gave this restaurant 5 stars and recommended it to others. Unfortunately, my most recent experience was the complete opposite. During my meal, I discovered ANTS actively crawling around my food. (See video) It was disturbing to watch them around the sauce next to my meal, and I immediately stopped eating because I no longer felt comfortable consuming the rest of it. What disappointed me even more was how management handled the situation afterward. It was extremely difficult to get in touch with the manager despite multiple attempts. When I finally spoke with him, he refused to provide a refund because more than 30 days had passed since my visit. Given the nature of the complaint and the difficulty I had reaching management, I found that response completely unreasonable. I also raised concerns about being asked questions during my visit that made me feel racially stereotyped. Those concerns were never acknowledged or addressed by management, which only added to my disappointment. Because I believed this was a legitimate food safety issue, I filed a complaint with the Fairfax County Health Department. After investigating, the inspector informed me that they visited the restaurant, discussed my concerns with the manager, and that the manager confirmed my reported ant sightings. The Health Department also required additional pest control measures. Beyond the service issues, I also noticed a significant decline in the food. The wonton soup was bland and lacked the rich flavor I remembered, and the General Tso's Surprise tasted off and was missing the depth and spice that used to make it one of my favorite dishes. This restaurant used to be one of my favorite vegetarian spots, which is why writing this review is so disappointing. Based on my recent experience, the difficulty in getting in touch with management, and their total lack of customer service or care for loyal customers, I can't recommend dining here. They do not care about their customers based on how I was treated.

The seating inside is pretty spacious, for a Wednesday night it wasn't too crowded so we were able to get a table relatively easily. This time I went with my vegetarian friend and I think it might have become her new favorite spot. First thing she said when I came in was "there's so many options" when usually it's what can I eat? With a full vegetarian menu, it's a great spot for those who like an Asian cuisine but suffer from the oh it's not vegetarian. Luckily the whole menu is vegetarian. The waiter/server also said they are doing great and planning on opening a second location in Chantilly soon! We ordered the vegan clam dip, shaky beef, and the fish (vegan) soup. Delicious food all around, I always prefer the clam dip and shaky beef. Really good flavors and a great combination. We definitely ordered too much food, so I would say if it's just two, two dishes is enough. Shaky beef was a little different this time around but still good flavor and you can taste that it's vegetarian or some other meat, but it's pretty darn close to beef. The flavors in the sauce and other bell peppers and onions elevate the flavor profile. The fish soup was a new dish, and definitely had a fish flavor but was a little overpowered by the tomatoe. I probably wouldn't go with that one again, but the others were still amazing.

This is an interesting restaurant because it serves both Ethiopian food and Central American food…read more When you enter the restaurant, you immediately sense that food is the focus here, not the décor or ambience. Latin music was blasting, and later the TV switched to a soccer game, all in Spanish. We tried a 4-dish combo and a fish dish, all very good - tasty, complex flavors. We also enjoyed the bread (injera, like sourdough bread in flavor) and the rice that comes with the dishes. This is my first time trying Ethiopian food. It reminds me of Indian food with the uses of lots of similar spices and the complex stew dishes. Our server was nice and checked on us frequently. I also got to practice my Duolingo Spanish with him--most of it was lost in translation. It was a fun experience. The fish dish was my favorite.

Ordered the beef kaey, beef tibbs, red lentils (favorite), and split peas over the phone. It was ~$5 more to order online through their website, so I called to place an order-- these hidden convenience fees, man, I'm not about it. Beef kaey- slow simmered all day type vibe. Beef is tender and seasoning is delicious. Savory saucy. Beef tibbs- sautéed with onions, tomatoes, and jalapeños. I got awaze and it's a Smokey spicy sauce that comes on the side. I didn't end up using it. I asked for it spicy - had the slightest kick. Split peas- mild flavor in comparison to both beef. You can taste the garlic and ginger. This wasn't my favorite but it was good in between bites of beef to change up the taste and texture. Peas weren't hard but also not mushy- Red lentils miser watt- I love the lentils here. Super flavorful. Savory and spice forward. Ambiance is casual. They also sell Ethiopian grocery items, like peas etc. The menu hasn't been changed and prices have not gone up.

My experience was so bad that I didn't even take my usual pictures to show the dishes…read more This review will be slightly different than my usual as I want to focus more on the customer service aspect rather than the food. To start with, they have a dedicated Jain Menu so we picked this place for some of the family members who can't eat onion and garlic. However, when we drove an hour plus to get here, they stated they're so "busy" that they may not be able to take any "Jain" orders. Well "busy" to them means less than 30% of the seating because the place was more than half empty. They stated after our questioning that they will try to get Jain orders for us so we all set down (group of 10+). Again, the place was mostly empty and had many tables that were already setup with napkins, forks, spoons, and glass cups. But when we set down, we had none of it. The waiter came and asked us if we were okay with plastic cups since glass ones will take more time as they don't have many right now. Again, they had more than enough on all other empty tables. Afterwards placing our order, we received may be 6 spoons and 6 forks and 2 napkins for 10+ of us. It almost seemed they didn't want us to be there. At least that's the vibe I got from all these things that kept happening. Another issues was that right where my wife was sitting, the ac kept dripping water from the ceiling. And while we were eating they were right next to us trying to get something out of some wooden box or working on some set of furniture. This could have waited until after we were done with our meals. Or at least they could have been courteous enough and just let us know that they had to work on something and will be making noises. To the end, lastly on the food, it was nothing too special to talk about. We did get a bowl of Rasam with a long piece of hair that my daughter caught and was disgusted with. The hair alone makes this a one star review. We came to this location for the first time since we had great experiences at the NJ location, but my experience was bad enough that I wouldn't even come back here.

Two weeks ago, I ordered two bowls and paid extra to add peanut butter and banana to both. The bananas were missing from both bowls. Yes, I called and asked for my $2 back. It wasn't about the money--it was the principle of paying for something that wasn't included. I did get a full refund on one bowl. Which was greatly appreciated. Today, June 9, I ordered the same two bowls. I tipped 20% (the default option), and the bowls themselves were made correctly. Unfortunately, the customer service was disappointing. The employee behind the counter never greeted me, never thanked me, and seemed far more interested in her personal phone call than helping customers. When I walked in, she briefly put her phone down, handed me my order without saying a word, then immediately picked her phone back up and walked to the back to continue her conversation. I'll definitely continue coming here because I genuinely like the product, but based on these experiences, I won't be tipping going forward. Good food can keep customers coming back, but good customer service matters too.
