Dear management- At your next meeting you need an agenda item to refresh on the value of a lifetime customer, the power of "word of mouth" marketing, as well as, how to appropriately staff this place during lunch hours. I recently moved to the area and am in search of a viable lunch option, but this will not be it. I called to order a black bean burger at 1:15pm. I arrived at 1:30pm. I waited in line until 1:45pm to then learn that the burger had not been made ahead of time. I was handed my meal at 1:50pm. This could have been my new go-to for lunch, but I can't wait that long for lunch on a regular basis. There was only one person making the bowls/ burger, and he was moving as fast as he could to help customers. There was one woman washing dishes and one woman making juice for a customer. There should have been an additional person at the front to also assist with the registers and food. Regarding the burger itself, please know I am no stranger to black bean burgers and I actually make a really good homemade version. If you would ever like my recipe, or if you'd like me to participate in a focus group, please know I will make myself available. 5/31 update: Upgrading to 4 stars. Service and food have been great. This is a wonderful addition to Mom's Organic Market in Herndon, VA. More on the store in a moment. It's a great place to pick up a delicious lunch. The cooking/serving staff is very knowledgeable about the food. They are also friendly and fun to talk to. Although it's a take-out place there is a counter where you can eat and look out the window. My favorites so far are the squash soup, and the sushi bowl, a kind of deconstructed sushi. The portions are generous. I had my sushi leftovers for lunch the next day. As for Mom's Organic Market, check it out if you have Whole Foods burnout. It's cheaper and they have a good selection of products. Again the staff is very knowledgable. read more

Holy Moses... this place is awesome. First of all, it is vegetarian/vegan BUT protein lovers rejoice because you will not leave hungry. The portions are gigantic! Not only that, but the quality of the food they use is spectacular. And the cost? It is extremely reasonable considering the quality and quantity of food you get. Okay, so here's the thing. I usually hate reviews and love Mom's/naked Lunch but today was not so good. My boss wanted Naked Lunch but I know lunchtime is busy there We're also slammed today so I called to ask if ording for takeout was available. I was on hold for five minutes or so and the third person I talked to took my order. She asked how long I would be, I said about 30 minutes. She told me their take out policy was to essentially put the order in line behind the last customer in the store. Cool. No worries. I ended up being about 40 minutes and when I told the gentlemen behind the counter I had a takeout order his response was "I haven't gotten to it yet, we're really busy." His tone suggested I was the problem for expecting a lunch order to be ready in 40 minutes. I understand their takeout policy but as I am not in store (see: takeout order), I have no idea what the line is like and need employees to make the call if 30 minutes is doable or not. Otherwise, I am going to assume it is. As I mentioned, we are swamped today so even though I ordered something from grubhub, we probably won't get to eat until 5pm or so now. So, that makes my day super awesome. With 40 minutes my boss and I could have gone and had a sit-down lunch complete with dessert. Instead, we're still hungry. read more

I love this place. The food is always delicious and healthy, and the staff is always friendly and helpful (they don't accept tips by the way, even though they deserve them.) I usually get the cauliflower steak, jammed yam, or black bean burger (delicious with the cashew "cheese"), and also a "pink lady" juice drink. The prices are very reasonable, and there is always enough food left over for a second meal. And if the pumpkin chocolate chip muffins are available I will always buy two. :-) My only very slight complaint is that I would like another choice of side, as I don't really need a salad since I'm eating so many vegetables in my entree, and the pretzels are a bit boring. read more

I literally love this place! If you are looking for an extremely healthy meal, this is the place to go to. All the ingredients are organic and fresh. My favorite is the bean burger. It's sooooo delicious. I get it with a side of greens with the jalepeno lime dressing which is amazing too. The stuffed yam is delicious as well. The cauliflower stew is loaded with veggies and I've had the lentil Soup which is good too.
