Cheers from the bar at Naked Oyster!

Amazing night tonight at Naked Oyster. We ordered excellent oysters with caviar and plain plus a colossal shrimp cocktail, the house salad, followed by sea bass special and salmon with a Tzatziki sauce and cooked perfectly. We decided to order the top three desserts- crème brulée, chocolate mousse and the cheesecake dessert were amazing! 10 out of 10 rating!!! Colleen was an incredible bartender-waitress for us at the bar!! Amazing service and food!

This place was fantastic! We had great service and excellent food! I'm not usually one to eat until I'm full, but this food warranted it! They have cool art on the walls (and the ceiling), the seafood was all very fresh and delicious, and the homemade cheesecake...SO good!!

We had heard some very solid reviews about one of the places with oyster in the name in Hyannis and I'm somewhat confident that it was this place. We decided to drop in recently and fortunately, were seated immediately without a reservation. It was a week night just before Labor Day if memory serves. They have the obligatory man-shucking-oysters by the entrance. We were escorted to our table in the back room. The very first thing I noticed was a brick wall in the form of a smell of baby and not good baby. Like diapers or doody. The source was immediately clear as there was a long table of at least half children and some adults. Legit like a kid's bday party but in an oyster restaurant. This shit was like full on kids crying, being loud, coughing everywhere, literally dangling out of and off the chairs. There were strollers. It was a nightmare. It's definitely not Naked Oyster's fault but I wondered where I was for a moment. I guess baby sitters are expensive in Hyannis. The second thing I noticed were the gigantic arm chairs flanking our table. Not only were they very comfortable but also aesthetically pleasing and a nice touch. The menu has some really hot ticket items which makes it impossible to choose. I was debating between the cheese plate and another appetizer but ultimately felt compelled to order the smoke show burrata which is a really unique dish. It is served under a glass barrier filled with smoke which is then gently lifted to reveal the burrata glob which, SHOCKER, has a nice, smoky flavor. The glob is accompanied by arugula, roasted cherry tomatoes, and slices of crispy bread. So good. GF ordered some fresh oysters which she liked and thankfully didn't give her Vibrio. I thought I was clever as shit ordering their vegetarian Thai bowl with rice noodles, book chow, peanut lime sauce, haricot vert, carrots, squash, cashews. I also was impressed by their numerous vegetarian options. Unfortunately, this was a HUGE miss for me. The sauce was literally so sweet it did not suffice as a dinner entree. It's almost like someone tripped carrying sugar which subsequently over poured into the sauce. It was so unpleasant I couldn't even finish it. Very disappointing. GF ordered their summer risotto with corn, arugula, carrots, cherry tomatoes, Parmesan Reggiano which, in very stark contrast to my main, was absolutely incredible. I snuck as many forkfuls as I could when she wasn't looking. This is definitely some of the best risotto I have had in recent memory and it was absolutely divine. Other than the fact that I overheard from another table that our server is literally in college and therefore making me feel elderly AF, the service was pretty good. She was nice and took good care of us until we wanted the bill and then she was MIA. I got so tired of waiting I literally just stood up next to the table because it was ridiculous. We finally got someone's attention and she brought over the check. A lot of highs and lows with this meal.

By far and away our best dinner on the cape. Wonderful atmosphere, friendly service and really good food. The risotto was simply amazing. Perfectly cooked and delectable. The scallops were perfectly cooked.the risotto amazing. On the level of what I had at the London in NYC. Great place for great meal.

Stopped in for some oysters and they did not disappoint. The server told us that they have their own oyster farm. If you like meaty delicious oysters, this place is for you. Service and ambiance were great, too.

If you're a foodie this is the spot for you. They get very busy but totally worth the wait. We had oysters and caviar and the mushroom truffle pate appetizers. Both were very good. For mains we had the scallops and the duck confit they were both delicious. Personally I thought the duck confit was absolutely flawless I wish I could go back in time and eat it again. We'll be back the next time we come to the Cape.

Wonderful location right on Main Street and they were pup-friendly. I had the raw bar platter, the lobster and the scallops and you can't go wrong with any of those. Wonderful staff who were so kind and accommodating. They even brought out water for my pups.

I had a wonderful dinner here last Friday! I was looking for a good restaurant that was open until at least 9/10 pm and semi on the way between Falmouth and Wellfleet. After doing some research, The Naked Oyster fit the bill! I arrived at around 8 PM and sat at the bar. There were 3 different ladies working behind the bar and they were all friendly and attentive. I started with an espresso martini and it was made beautifully. I then decided to get 2 raw oysters and 2 shrimp from the raw bar menu. The oysters were shucked and everything was plated right in front of me. The oysters were briny and delicious and the shrimp were large and fresh. I wanted to get more, but had already ordered the duo of ahi tuna as my entree and wanted to have room for that. The ahi tuna duo came as 1/2 seared tuna and half spicy tuna tartare. The seared tuna was to die for! So fresh and obviously of good sushi quality. I was less impressed by the spicy tartare and felt that it lacked a bit of the spicy punch I was expecting. It wasn't enough of a complaint to downgrade the restaurant to a 4, though. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal! Lastly, some folks nearby were having an oyster shooter, so I decided to try one for myself. I had never had one before and and I was feeling very "treat yo'self"! It was only like $5.50 or something and contained about 2 shots worth of vodka AND an oyster. Whoo-boy! No complaints from me! I'd totally get that again. All in all - this was a wonderful restaurant experience. I go to the Cape several times a year and will make it a point to come back to The Naked Oyster!

We dropped by the naked oyster for some oysters before dinner and it was definitely a great choice. The oysters are shucked right at the bar. Although it did take a little longer for the oysters to arrive it was definitely worth the wait and our waiter kept us informed and apologized for the wait very nicely. The oysters were very fresh and the cocktail sauce was really nice. We got a dozen and they were about $2.66 each which is on the pricier side but it they were very high quality. We didn't get to try their other items but if you're looking for delicious oysters, this is definitely the place to go!

Another wonderful experience for high end dining in the heart of Hyannis, Cape Cod. Naked Oyster, oh how I love you. The restaurant is located on Main Street with some outside dining available. The food is prepared perfectly with attention to detail and servers who are cognizant of the diners anticipated needs with out being overly intrusive. It's an intimate spot with the perfect ambiance and lighting. They had the freshest oysters the nicest selection of fine wines. It is really nice in here. They source all their foods from local farmers and fishermen. You can tell. Fresh, tasty and beautifully presented. It's great to know that you are supporting local and having a really good time to boot.

I wanted to love this place BUT- the hostess was indifferent, the server was stuck up, and the lighting hitting me in the face made me feel I was dining on a landing strip. The cheap plexiglass partitions between the booths was as tacky as the odd wall of plywood, and no music, in a room that was beautifully done otherwise. The mushroom risotto was over done, the swordfish chop was fantastic. The menu said "oyster shooters" $4 ea, $2.50 to add vodka. I asked for two oyster shooters and was brought two with vodka. Lucky I asked if these had alcohol in these (20 years sober), and she said "yes you asked for oyster shooters...THESE are oyster shooters and they come with vodka"! It was like, She enjoyed being condescending! I responded with "the menu says, "oyster shooters" $4 ea, $2.50 to add vodka. "Oh"... Then I asked for dinner rolls and they were brought. (Amazing by the way) then she took away the basket without asking if we might want more. Over all a stuck up vibe, for a place that has the potential of welcoming patrons to try and return for a wonderful culinary experience.

Both drinks were very good. After our drinks were served, I asked our server a few questions about the portion size of the calamari. Since we were still undecided about our selections, the server left us to consider our options. Once we had made our choices, however, we had difficulty getting the server's attention. My companion had to first motion to the server and eventually call out to get their attention--three times! We both started with a cup of New England Clam Chowder, although I ordered a bowl with my meal. There is definitely a noticeable difference in portion size between the cup and bowl. The chowder itself was excellent--thick, flavorful, and delicious. For our entrées, we selected Clam Strips and Calamari, both as side-dish portions. The food was very good, as were the drinks. Overall, we enjoyed the food, drinks, and beautiful harbor-side patio setting. Unfortunately, the service was only just okay, primarily because of the difficulty we had getting our server's attention after we were ready to order.

My boyfriend and I had such a great experience here our first night of vacation that we decided to come back our second night. So we went to the hostess and said table for 2 and took the buzzer and were told 45 minute wait. It was an hour wait but I loved the experience and was ok with waiting. So when our buzzer buzzed. I headed to the hostess stand and there was a long line. I didn't want to be rude so I said the lead hostess "hey I just got a buzz" she said "ok maam I will be right with you." She continued to take down the names of the multiple groups of people in line. I decided that I would go to the back of the line to be respectful. As we were just about to near the front I hear her say "table ___ is a no show we are giving away to table ___" the people she gave the table to were people who were bothering her about the long wait time while my boyfriend and I patiently waited. She went to then give me ANOTHER buzzer as she gave our table away although we were there on time and then ignored. I gave the new buzzer back to her and told her that we previously were there with our buzzer and told her and she told us to wait a minute but ignored us. My boyfriend chimed in to say that he saw her give the table away to the next people on the list that were bothering her while we patiently waited. The hostess didn't say sorry and let us leave after we were very respectful. As someone in the industry it breaks my heart. I have been in her position and have done everything I could to make it right and to allow my guests to have the best experience possible. All she did was stare at us as we expressed concern. I was deeply hurt after this interaction and left wondering what I did wrong. All I tried to do was be a loyal customer and be respectful and I was patient and was punished for being patient and respectful. All I want is some recognition and apology.

Tap City Grille was a surprise for me!…read more I tried it out around 7 years ago and wasn't the biggest fan. It was a good place to go out with friends and have some wings, but I wasn't impressed whatsoever. My family and I were on vacation looking for a place to go that's different from Seafood, so we went back to Tap City to give it another shot. It was incredible. It was possibly one of my favorite restaurants I've tried during my vacation. We got a lot of different dishes, so I was able to try a bunch of them. I myself ordered a "build your own" Pizza. I got Hot Italian Sausage and Pepperoni. It was a very good size for the amount of money you spend. It was delicious. The sauce was amazing, the cheese blend was good and the toppings were both fresh! The crust was a bit soggy however. It was fine, it just was a bit floppy. I tried the Brussel Sprout appetizer and it may have been the best thing on the menu. They were addictive. I could've just ordered those and have been satisfied. I tried the Chicken Tenders and they were alright, but you could tell they are frozen and not homemade. The Fries were good, but just normal fries you'd expect at a bar and grille. Although I personally didn't try it, one of the guests I was with was in love with the Hamburger. This place is a must stop on your vacation if you're looking for a break from Seafood. It has a nice atmosphere and has been packed every time I've walked by. So why am I only giving this a four? Our waitress was not good. She had zero emotion and looked like she wanted to be anywhere other than at her job. I waited 20 minutes to get a refill on my drink because she never checked on us until we finished our food. The service at Tap City Grille should be improved.
