Sooo unfortunately I was "that" person. I ordered this on a weeknight and they were closing in about 20 minutes. (I had a hard time deciding what I wanted to eat). I think my order was scheduled to be ready past the time they were closing and I was like that can't be right. I waited ten minutes and headed in, and my food was ready to go on the counter for me. The restaurant is small but nicely decorated and I was greeted with a smile. :) Since I was starving I dug right into the crab angoons which seemed like an easy thing to eat in the car. The duck sauce was a small container and I thought to myself, this isn't going to be enough. However, it really was! The crab rangoons were unfortunately quite cold in the middle so maybe they put them away or they were frozen but they were not hot. I was starving so I ate them anyways, but it was disappointing they were cold. However, I gave them the benefit of the doubt that they might have started putting things away and rushed this order and unfortunately took it out too soon. Besides being slightly cold, they had a nice flavor but the container to dip them in was much smaller so it was a challenge. I I tried Pad See U which I haven't had before but was surprisingly very happy with it. I loved the wide noodle dish which reminded me a lot of chow fun in a sense but the sauce had a slight sweetness which was nice. The soft spring rolls / naim chow were good and the sauce had a slight kick to it. I also enjoyed the mango sticky rice for my dessert. The mango was perfect as well as the combination sweet rice flavor. Overall, I would definitely visit this place again and would love to try some other things! read more

Last week's meals were uniquely outstanding so a return trip was in order for this week. Nam Khong's steamed dumplings are fabulous, and their dumpling sauce out of this world - tasty and light. All the meals, whether Shrimp Pad Thai or one of the Nam Khong specialties with beef, chicken or pork, are an adventurous and delightful tasting experience. Diners need not feel obligated to try the two star spiciness to enjoy the Thai, Lao dishes. I requested a dish without any stars and was more than satisfied with the intense and enjoyable flavor. On both trips, we brought home leftovers that were just as tasty the next day. Can't wait to try something different on the next visit! read more

My husband and I recently discovered this wonderful jewel of a family restaurant in Mill Pond Plaza (Ace Hardware, Bagels and More). The mom cooks, the dad is the front man and their charming daughter, Holly, waitresses on the weekends. The food is authentic and delicious. On our second visit in a short time, we tried a yellow curry dish called Khao Son - it was delicious. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner - closed on Monday. It is cheerful and immaculately clean. The prices are very reasonable. If you like Thai food you will also love the dishes from Laos. Give this wonderful place a try! read more

Had lunch here today. The place is immaculate. It is tastefully decorated. The owner and his wife are very friendly. I ordered the Vegetarian Tofu Panang Curry. It was presented on a lovely porcelain dish. It was very, very good. This is the best Thai food I have tasted in South County. We had the Mango on Coconut Sticky Rice for dessert- it was out of this world and a generous portion. For beverages, we had very reasonably-priced Singha and BeerLao (dark). There were several items on the menu I wanted to try and I look forward to going back. read more

Stumbled upon this restaurant by accident. Never had Thai or Lao food before so we decided to give it a try. We started with the squid rings, crispy and tender, and the spring rolls which were crispy on the outside with a tender vegetable filling. Both excellent. We both had Pad Thai, one chicken the other pork. They arrived piping hot, just the way I prefer my food. Both dishes were fresh and delicious. We don't go out to eat much anymore but the next time we do it will definitely be to Nam Khong. read more

This place is hands down the best Thai and Laotian food in Southern Rhode Island/Southeastern CT. We had Thai Hot Tea, Tom Yum Soup, Thai Soft Spring Rolls and the highly recommended Khao Soi (a famous northern noodle in yellow curry). Out of this world. The atmosphere was welcoming and they sure know how to cater to young children. Our server brought my daughter a custom noodle in broth to her delight. Excellent qualities and quantities. A gem in Westerly. We are especially enjoy the Nam Khon specialty (#44 on the menu). While I am usually more adventurous at Thai restaurants, their Pad Thai is excellent also. For take-out, suggest you add 10 minutes to whatever time they say to prepare.
