This is one of the best Indian restaurants in the Baltimore area. The food is always fresh and hot, even when I pick up my food and drive back home it's still hot. The always give a 15% off discount for pick up orders which is lovely ( I love to save money just as much as I like to spend it). The service is great, they are always friendly, caring and patient. This is great Indian food. I am from Raleigh, and my Indian place has paneer pakoras, and they didn't have these on the menu. I asked Milo if they could make these, and he said it was no problem. We didn't look at reviews or ratings and just happened to be in the area around dinner time and spotted this restaurant. The atmosphere is very inviting and the staff are incredibly welcoming. The service was very good, quick, friendly and polite. The food showed up in good time. We ordered a vegetable biryani, a garlic naan and a paneer tikka masala. All three were very delicious and fresh. The quantities were ample and we ended up taking the rest home. This was our first time at Namaste and we were nothing but impressed. The restaurant itself is setup very nice. We had a wonderful booth up front. The menu had many options and everything was wonderful. I got the Mango Sabzi which was the perfect mix of spices, vegetables and mango. The mild is very mild, so i recommend getting medium or hot for those that like a kick. We also got to sample the Mango Lassi drink which everyone enjoyed. Finally the staff was incredible. They did a good job putting something special together - still have no idea what this was! Also got an order of Tika Masala, and it was one of the best I've had. My wife and I have eaten at Namaste since it opened. We eat or order out from Namaste approximately at least once a month (on average). Every bite of every meal has been good. The focus is on authentic food. The service is solid, but can be slow when they are really busy. It's worth the wait! The hospitality of the owners is genuine and consistent. The owners here are the sweetest people and immediately said to our group that they were truly hoping to welcome in the city of Baltimore to their food. So the owners are SO nice. We ordered three vegetarian dishes and all spicy. They actually made them spicy. No more "white people spicy" or "are you sure you want spicy??". They listen to what you'd like then MAKE IT HAPPEN. The garlic naan was $1.99. Wait. You mean...you price your garlic naan fairly?? No more of this $3.99 bc we basted it with a garlic clove nonsense??? The most delish garlic naan. The best price. Then we ate: aloo gobi, navratna korma, and saag paneer. The gobi had genuine flavor, the navranta had WHOLE CASHEWS, the saag didnt feel like weird baby food. For those who worry about parking don't there is paid parking near the restaurant that only cost mere cents per hour. The ambience is calm and serene and the decor is absolutely fabulous. I like this restaurant a lot and I think the food is delicious. The waiter was a little pushy asking us to change our appetizer order so that we could try their dumplings. We did, and I didn't find them to be all that exciting. I've ordered Palak Paneer, Malai Koftas and Chicken Tikka Marsala from Namaste and all 3 were very good. I like the name of the restaurant and I was excited to try it. The menu is very dairy heavy which is a challenge for me. I also wasn't very impressed with the diversity of items. That being said their samosas, pakora, and lamb were very good. It was a good experience just not memorable enough to make it my go to place. read more

I was at Roland Park Bagels and noticed the restaurant Loco Hombre had been converted to an Indian place called Namaste. We had dinner plans with friends that love Indian food later in the week so decided to give it a try. I called for reservations on a Saturday night and was told their was no need. 'We can accommodate you, no problem". So I wasn't surprised to find a mostly empty dinning room that night. The menu is fairly extensive, and we tried appetizers, 4 entrees, and 2 different breads. Everything had good flavor, cooked to the heat level requested, and portions we so large we had olenty to take home. NOTE- even though the dinning room never go more crowded while we were eating, Namaste seemed to do a robust carry out business. Writing on the basis of their takeout/delivery game alone. I ordered the chaat papri, chicken tikka masala, aloo jeera, and garlic naan. I was impressed with the quality and freshness of the ingredients. The chicken tikka masala sauce actually tasted like it contained yogurt, fengureek, and tomatoes. The potatoes in the aloo jeera were cooked consistently (not always a given!) and the masala, while on the salty side, was very tasty. The chaat papri was good, though it's not an ideal dish for takeout as the crunchy papri can get soggy. The garlic naan was huge, and arrived in good condition. The delivery driver was very polite and arrived ahead of schedule. I've noticed that Indian / Nepalese restaurants around here open with excellent flavors and reasonable (for Baltimore) prices, but the quality of the ingredients goes down as the prices go up over the first year of business. I hope Namaste can make things work out without sacrificing either of those things! read more

Namastayaway! I work down the street and have been meaning to try this place for months. I was stuck at work with my two-year-old, and so I decided to stop in for the lunch buffet. I asked how much the buffet would cost for my two-year-old, who I knew would only eat rice. And maybe naan. the answer was that he was free, which is pretty common for most buffets in the Baltimore area for kids under 3. When I went to pay at the end, I was shocked to see that I was charged $21! The waitress informed me that her boss had decided that my two-year-old, who she had seen only eating a cup of rice and a piece of naan, would be charged a full child's amount of $6. WTF?! I just bought a $6 bowl of rice. For what it's worth the food was mediocre. The vegetarian items were okay, but the chicken was obviously prefrozen and tasted iceboxy and the pakoras were stale. I might not have come back anyway due to the quality of the food, but I certainly will not be coming back now. read more

We went for the lunch buffet and the food selection was smaller compared to places like Kumari but nonetheless very tasty and comparable (with the possible exception of the salad/fruit which looked a little wilted). The restaurant itself is clean and new. Fresh naan is served to you after you get your food. The mango lassi ($3) was also superb. They also have a student discount for the buffet (I believe $1), so it comes out to about $9, which is a great value! You can also just order regular food without doing the buffet. read more
