Thin garlic naan
Carolyn R.

What happened?! We love this place, but the last couple of times have been different. The Samosas taste different, the tikka masala tastes different, and the naan is no longer fluffy. It's thin and rubbery. Very disappointed with the last few times we've gone/gotten takeout. I've started to get the butter chicken now, because it's more consistent, over the Tikka Masala

Buffet Standouts: naan, chickpeas, dahl, chili chicken, Saag Paneer, cauliflower. Honorable mention: chicken tikka

Fri/Sat lunch buffet, 11-2pm, $16.95/person. That's all you need to know to get to this spot. Buffet Standouts: - Soft, warm basket of naan served in a basket. - My favs were the chickpeas, dahl, Saag Paneer, cauliflower. No, I'm not vegetarian. These were just good. - Rice pudding is a sweet stop to end the journey. - Honorable mention: chili chicken (which tastes like breaded, fried, and sauced Chinese chicken) and chicken tikka - milder tikka sauce than what I'm used to but not bad. The goat should've been cooked longer with more seasoning. I didn't care for the other fake chicken (vegetarian "chicken"). There's also a side bar of picked veggies and chutneys. I'm glad that there's a reasonably priced Indian option in the area now where I can get my fix without driving down to Hilcroft. I would give the food a solid 3,5 and wouldn't necessarily order these dishes separately, but to try them all in one go is a gem.

Chicken jhol momo

This place has amazing food! We ordered the chicken Mughal, saag paneer, Nepalese chicken jhol momo, and garlic naan. On this visit, we ordered all of the dishes "mild", but there is the option to make it much hotter if you like. The service was great. The waiter and manager were quite attentive in making sure we had everything we needed. This restaurant has only been open a couple of months, and is planning to have a lunch buffet starting sometime in January. I am really looking forward to see the variety they'll have.

Happened to go to this restaurant because of a Groupon that I had. It was a 50 min ride for our party of 3 but as it turned out was worth it. You should note that the directions through the Groupon app. are wrong. Just enter the name of the restaurant in Waze or Google Maps. Location: in a strip mall with ample parking in a well lit lot. Ambience: large seating area with well spaced booths and tables. Place is clean. There are table cloths, proper silverware and dinner plates. The single wait staff was friendly, knew the menu and attentive The food: honestly some of the best we have had in a long time. We ordered the Chicken Chilly Mommos as a shared starter- was served on a sizzling, steamy hot cast iron pan. The Mommos are to die for. Have never had anything this tasty in an appetizer before. Had to talk to the owner-Chef. Found out the dish is his original creation and no one in Houston serves it this style. For our mains we had the Chicken Hariyali- morsels of chicken marinated in a spinach cream marinade then grilled. Tender, mouth watering and tingles the taste buds with a burst of multiple flavors. Accompanying this we had the Dal Makhani and a Chicken Kadhai. All were spiced just right and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The food was so good we ordered an additional 3 entrees to go. Portion sizes are good and prices are reasonable. This mini feast could end only one way- with a steaming mug of Masala Chai. Highly recommend this restaurant. Will definitely be back- with my entire family. Disclaimer- A copy of this review will be posted elsewhere as well.

Always get the food from TooGoodToGo app. It's cheap and very good portion size. Different every time with great flavors. Quick and easy pickup.

Garlic Naan

I recently tried Momo for the first time at a potluck and I was looking around the area for good momo spots and I stumbled upon Namaste Curry and Mo:Mo and they did not disappoint. We ordered Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Chili MoMo, and Garlic Naan. The chicken tikka masala was super flavorful and fragrant. They give you an option to add more spice if you want that extra kick. The chicken chili momo is a must try! The momo wrapper was super crispy and the sauce pairs so well with the filling inside. The garlic naan is hands down the best garlic naan I have tasted. I am a garlic girl and there was a generous amount of chopped garlic on top. The naan was very buttery and golden and I couldn't stop eating it.

Amazing experience. My favorite was the Chicken Tikka Masala. Service was well, the ambiance was authentic, and satisfying.

This place has some of the best Indian food i have had and we will definitely be back! Me and my son came for lunch and were the only ones there so we had the place to ourselves and the food was delicious and came quickly. The mango lassi was great as well.

We had originally planned on trying out their buffet, but we showed up a bit too late where there were only bits of food left, and they weren't planning on refilling the buffet, so, we decided to stay anyway and to order off the menu..... and we're all glad we did! The interior is very spacious, casual, and clean.... and having shown up so late, there was no crowd, the place was peaceful and calm, and a great time for us to enjoy our meal.. with very good service focused only on us. I'm typically not familiar with Nepalese food, but perusing the menu, the dishes offered looked almost exactly like a typical Indian restaurant's menu, except there were some additional hybrid Indian/Chinese dishes, like the Momo dumplings that are typical and popular dish familiar to this Nepali region. Fortunately, there were four of us dining in and we were able to order a variety of dishes that sounded really yummy..... like the Steamed Chicken Momos (dumplings), Gobi Manchurian (fried cauliflower coated in a spicy sweet sauce), Tandoori Chicken, Chicken Tikka Masala, Goat Curry, Lamb Curry, Saag Paneer, Lachna Paratha, and Garlic Naan. How was the food? I don't eat lamb or goat so I can't comment, but the others in the group mentioned the meat was a bit tough, but the curries tasted excellent. As for everything else, I did get to try it all, and everything was so hot, fresh, and prepared just perfectly.... so yummy delicious! Not too sweet, not to salty, and just a great balance of flavors and textures. My all time favorite Indian dish being the saag paneer....pureed spinach with cubes of goat cheese....yummeee! And went great with the breads fresh out of the oven..... very happy and satisfied! This place was a great find as we all enjoyed the food here very much. Service was very good, and with a very nice, casual, and pleasant ambiance. We don't visit here very often since we're from our of town, but if we do visit again, we'll definitely be back again.

I say "main server" because there is a roving band of servers to make sure they don't miss anything! All the dishes were wonderful, however everything had some "spice", so be careful if you "can't take the heat". The menu is huge, so I believe there has to be something for everyone. The ambience is minimalist, clean bright, "food hall", but in a good way. Not a dark cozy date night place, but more bright, family restaurant decor. Because there are so many choices, I will be back, and could probably eat here all week long and not repeat a meal. Full disclosure however, we were there on a Tuesday, so everything was very chill. The menu is pretty extensive. While waiting for our food we were given cucumbers and carrots with a dill yogurt type sauce. If I knew how spicy the food was going to be, I wouldn't have enjoyed them before my entree. I specifically asked what the mild dishes were but my food was still inedible. Unfortunately I cannot tolerate anything spicy. And apparently they do not accommodate heat levels so you get what you get. Literally everything we were served except the naan was way too spicy for me. Even my son who enjoys spicy food found the "medium" was very spicy. Food aside, the service was not very hospitable. This place runs like a well oiled machine. The service is fast but don't expect any niceties. When we were asked how we liked the food, my son mentioned the heat level and was basically reprimanded on how "next time he should listen to the server". With it being one of the top restaurants, this experience has left me scratching my head. Overall, I'm glad I was able to finally give this place a shot but for me, it doesn't live up to the hype.

The neo modern interior is stylish and chic. Our group opted for the 10 course Chef's table tasting menu with wine pairings. The Chef's table is in a semi private space right in front of the kitchen, separated from the main dinning room by curtains. It was fun to watch the kitchen in action, but the area felt a bit warm at times. Presentation was definitely one of the highlights of the evening. Each dish arrived in uniquely designed serve ware and each wine was presented in a different glass. The ingredients were top-notch, featuring Hokkaido scallops, Wagyu beef, yellowfin tuna, etc. That said, while some dishes highlighted the Indian flavors we were expecting, others leaned more towards American fusion. The wine pairing complemented each dish well and the sommelier provided detailed explanations for each wine. My favorite dishes of the night were the chaat and the lamb chop. Overall, we enjoyed the experience and appreciated the quality of the ingredients, the service and presentation. However I wish there's more emphasis on the Indian flavors. Based on the glimpse of the flavors we experienced in some of the courses, I suspect I might enjoy a simple bowl of vindaloo or curry from their regular menu more.

And constantly searching for a good Samosa ( that's why they got three stars, but we'll get back to that part) My order consisted of Butter Chicken, Garlic Naan (rice or naan are a separate order item) and one order of Samosas (good call on my part) The naan was very tough and quite chewy which was a great disappointment, but the bigger disappointment was the Butter Chicken. The very first piece was pure gristle and honestly it tasted more like Chicken Boti. I tried several more bites to make sure it wasn't just a one off.... It wasn't sadly. Now the reason for the three stars the Samosas..... Big, Giant, puffs of heaven! You may not be able to tell from the pic (be happy y'all got one cause as anyone who reads my food reviews know, I rarely get food pics cause I'm digging in before the server has gotten their hand completely out of the way, usually) these Samosas took up my whole palm! I ordered the plain ones ie: no meat and the my were stuffed and had the perfect amount of spicy heat. I will absolutely be going back just for those! The gentleman taking my order was very kind and polite. And the inside was set up to receive small parties as well as large ones. They also have a buffet area set up although I do not know when those times are.
