Small intimate no frills environment with very good food. The owner operators treat you like family. If you show an interest in the menu, they passionately fill you in on the preparation and cooking details. Some favorites: (my apologies for spelling) = anything with Paneer, Gobi (caulifliwer) Manchurian, Get Naan bread stuffed with chilis and cheese, Byriani rice, the Masala dishes are so good, any dishes with fish, and of course perfect Hakkah noodles. On my way back home from Philly, I visited this restaurant. It was open late and read excellent reviews online. For the appetizer, I ordered the paneer sizzling, which are triangles of cottage cheese roasted in a clay oven and cooked with green peppers, tomatoes, and onions with a chef's special sauce. The paneer was perfectly coated in the sauce and the vegetables were crispy. The sauce was spicy, tangy, and a little sour. For the main course, I ordered paneer kali mirchi and butter paneer masala. The paneer kali mirchi was new to me and instantly ordered it; it is shredded cottage cheese cooked in a creamy sauce with black pepper. The sauce was not heavily seasoned but the black pepper was sufficient. This paneer dish was very different and it also accompanied the jeera rice very well. The butter paneer masala was superb. In the creamy tomato gravy, you can taste the intense flavors of the Indian spices. The naan was soft and buttery, which made the eating experience 10x better. In the end, I ordered the vegetable manchurian because I was impressed with the previous dishes and wanted to taste their Indochinese. The manchurian did not fail either! I ordered on door dash, and this was my first time every trying Indian food. My mind is blown, I tried the Paneer Tikka Masala, Garlic Naan and Vegetable Birayani. The BEST!! in this area....Food is always consistent with perfection. Everything on the menu so far that I have had was really good. The only thing is some of their items are small portions like their cauliflower (gobi)Manchurian. But then their biryanis are always packed in so high and a good amount. So if ordering for a group just make sure you ask how many people would your choices serve. My favorite thing to get here is their samosa chaat. I'm from NY so this chaat hits close to home. it's perfection you will not regret it. Haka noodles are good too just make sure you know your spice level, the medium spice was super spicy the kind that you like but then your mouth goes numb, it didn't last will order again medium. This is a small venue, with only a few dishes on the buffet. However, the buffet has a nice variety of choices and the ones served were PACKED with intense flavor! First I loved the garlic naan they brought out, probably the best I've ever had. I also give extra credit for serving mango lassi and chai tea as part of the buffet, most places I've been to dont include it. The goat was amazing, the paneer very intense, and several other dishes were above expectations. Oh, the place was very clean and didn't have a typical Indian restaurant 'aroma'. Delicious! My wife and I have ordered takeout from here three times and each was excellent. The Chef's special vegetable platter is big and so yummy! I've ordered both the chicken tikki masala and butter chicken. I like the tikki masala a little better but they are both good. My wife ordered goat korma (great) and lamb tikki masala (tender and delicious). Naan and paratha are hot, fresh and the dipping sauces perfect. Takeout service is fast and friendly. Also in the buffet , the items like palak paneer was not having any paneer. I would like to see more buffet items in buffet to justify their price or keep the price to 9.99 for same variety. Namaste Indian Bistro is quickly becoming one of our favorite Indian restaurants. My wife and I ordered From Namaste last night, and the night before, it was good enough to send us right back for seconds. The food was all very high quality and very fresh. My chicken tikka masala wasn't as rich and creamy as I'm used to as it was seasoned a little differently, but the flavor was excellent. I think they use less cream and more nutmeg and cinnamon than most restaurants. We tried several different appetizers and they were all excellent, the Onion Bhaji, Cauliflower Manchurian, and Aloo Papri Chaat are highly recommended. I would also recommend getting all dishes in at least a medium spice level, when you order mild you lose a good amount of flavor when they omit or limit spices to keep the heat down. Medium and Spicy seem to have the best balance of flavor and heat in my opinion. read more
