Decided to go for an adventure as we have had limited exposure to Indian food. We WILL be back! The food was DELICIOUS and the lady helping us order took the time and attention to guide us through food allergy issues. Two of us are gluten free and that definitely limits us, but we had an amazing lunch and left perfectly and pleasantly full. Been wanting to come to their buffet for a while and a friend recommended we go for lunch and I was not disappointed. Was greeted as soon as we can in and the staff and owners were very friendly through our meal. Came several times to clean the plates off and make sure we had plenty to drink. It is one of those gems in Rio Rancho. I did try everything they had on the buffet and great bonus is they have different foods each day of the week to be able to get a taste of different foods from India and Nepal. It is a very laid back atmosphere and they don't rush you to finish which is a bonus in my book. The bathrooms were very clean and that is always something I check out when I review a new place. Decided to try this restaurant one day by chance, now it is my FAVORITE Indian spot in Albuquerque. The delicious food has kept me coming back for years. I HIGHLY recommend the chicken tikka masala with garlic naan! The restaurant is nice inside- very welcoming. The business seems to be family-run with the same workers always there. They keep the place neat and clean. They are all very kind, polite, and hard-working people. Plus, they give large, filling portions that always result in leftovers! They have vegan options and do orders for takeout as well. I have introduced nearly a dozen other people to this restaurant and I don't believe any of them have disliked a meal yet! I always enjoyed Indian food. Namaste was a go to after church at Sagebrush - west side of Albuquerque. Then we discovered that there is another location close to University of New Mexico (UNM). We dine at both locations & think have the same selections for the lunch buffet. My Indian students said the food tastes homemade and authentically Indian. This location moved down the street two years ago. They painted the outside red and yellow, so it's really easy to find now! read more

I've been going to Namaste in Rio Rancho ever since they opened and compared to when they opened they've literally gone down the drain. From the order I placed today: - chicken tikka masala - bland, no flavor whatsoever. Chicken was not cooked on the tandoor, not marinated and tasted rubbery. Chicken tikka masala is supposed to have cream but I couldn't taste any cream, it felt diluted with water. - saag paneer - bland, no salt. Dal makhni- you're supposed to add tadka (clarified butter poured on top of dal while it's cooking) , but rather this tasted diluted with water, no salt, bland. regular naan - gummy , bland. My store bought pita tastes better I grew up India and I know this place would get an F. read more

My first visit, and I can't think of a better dining date than Namaste veteran Larry McGlondrick to have experienced it with. The staff was wonderfully friendly and accommodating. The interior was lovely, and as for the food...mahvelous! Larry suggested I go for the buffet, and I was not disappointed. Fresh and bright flavors, the meatballs were SO JUICY....I filled up my plate with noodles, namo, spinach pakora....and the chicken makhani was absolute aces!!! Lots of vegetarian options, the naan bread was deeeelish, and the accompanying condiments were perfection. Love me some tamarind. It makes me so happy to have such a great place to indulge my indian/nepali cravings here on this side of the grid. There will be many more visits here, you can count on that! read more

This is definitely one of the best Indian food places in Albuquerque. I've enjoyed their delicious lunch buffet several times, but have not made the trek over for dinner yet. They have all the typical offerings you'd expect and they do every one of them well. The service is great and their chai tea is also wonderful. The staff is friendly and keeps everything moving along, including cleaning up your plates, refilling your glasses, and turning tables for new patrons when you leave. read more

Incredible food, and extremely reasonable price! For like $12 you get the lunch buffet with delicious and flavorful Indian food and a whole naan bread. The service was very diligent and the food was constantly on rotation. I enjoyed everything they had, from their tofu paneer to their chicken curry and desserts, it was all really good. We ordered pick up through their website one evening and let me tell you the food was AMAZING. Walking inside we noticed that the building was really clean. You can tell the staff takes care to ensure their place is well kept. We got the chicken tikka masala, vegetable samosa, chicken chow chow noodle, chicken korma (my personal favorite), and Kheer. Our go to in ABQ for Indian food. The building doesn't look like much from the inside our outside but the quality of the food more than compensates for that. They serve a very large buffet but our go to dishes are the Aloo Gobi for her (she orders it as spicy s they can make it) and either Tandoori Chicken (the best I've ever tasted) or the Chicken Tikka Masala. Best Indian/Nepalese in ABQ hands down! These guys are the real deal and boast some wonderful dishes. I really love the kormas, all the curries and the naan.
