So happy I gave this place a try. My boyfriend and I were looking for a place to get breakfast. As we were browsing around we came across Namu Kitchen. The service was great, we got seated right away and were given water and hand held menu's which I appreciated. The server was very attentive and made sure all of our questions were answered. The food was delicious! I think this plate was such a well balanced meal and didnt leave me feeling gross after. I also got a iced vanilla latte with whole milk which was yummy. Don't even get me started on the jam. They gave me three option of either blueberry, mango, or peach jam. I chose blueberry and my boyfriend chose mango, both were delicious! The snap of the Korean sausages was perfect. The Parmesan coated kale added such a great flavor. The sautéed mushrooms with the egg was a delight. As for the ambiance, it was also a 10/10. We went on a Saturday morning and to my surprise, it was not busy whatsoever. It did pick up closer to 12pm but nothing too crazy. While the food and ambiance is well intentioned, the flies had a better time on the uncleared tables next to me. I'll start by sharing that Namu has one of the best breakfast burritos I've ever tasted. Portion is huge as well. I was pretty happy about this. Couple of things negatively impacted our experience here. There were three of us dining today. My wife and I had our food come out about 10 minutes apart. It was almost another 20-25 minutes for our friend's food to show up. I believe they ran out of the braised beef and were waiting for some to cook. I get it, but still impacted our experience. Small things also matter. I had to walk up to the register to ask for small plates. Our appetizer looked delicious when it showed up, but we didn't have any plates at this point so after giving it a few minutes I decided to walk up. My wife ordered the mushroom toast. She really enjoyed this. It may have been just our luck with some of the service and food waiting. I would say give this spot a shot and enjoy some delicious food. read more

Amazing staff!! A pretty good study cafe too! I walked in and asked if there was WiFi because this place seemed like a restaurant more than a cafe. I came at 11 and am staying over 8+ hr to study. Staff were very kind and even refilled our water. My friend joined me at 2 and we were able to stay until near closing for a cramming session. Food is fairly priced and they have clean restrooms too! I enjoyed the quietness, and the food. I did like what we ordered and it was good food. Tea was just ok, not worth that price in my opinion. Service was attentive when I get a hold of them but they did tend to disappear and no one was at the front register, and I did had to wait for things from time to time. The French toast tasted like a sponge cake, so it is something new to try and over all, I personally think the tea and the French toast is a little pricey. The place is nice and clean. Needed to find a brunch place that served healthy items and found this place on Yelp . We're not from this area so this is new to us. Came right at opening and we were first ones in. Pleasantly greeted by owner and were sat in the best spot in the house. The place is very clean and aesthetically pleasing, with very modern and well thought out decor. The woodwork done by the owners FIL was one of a kind and very beautiful. Once we got the food and drinks, we were left with smiley non verbal reactions that really took our breath away! Every item was so good from the beautifully presented eye catching avo toast, the super flavorful gyoza, the amazing bulgogi and rice, and the finale...jam and ricotta toast was to die for!!! As we speak I'm still finishing my meal but couldn't wait to express how delicious this place is. We got the jang jorim burrito, karage and French toast. All amazing. And two lattes each! We had to get the second lattes to go but easily worth the trip alone. Service was great and speedy. Felt like the servers did a great job for us so early. On my second visit, I wanted to explore more of their menu but ended up sticking with the beef bulgogi sandwiches again. I also ordered the kimchi pancake. But, I was disappointed with the pancake--it was soggy and thick, lacking in flavor. The prices here seem a bit high for the quality of food you get. While their coffee, teas, and appetizers might be suitable for a cafe setting, the main meals left much to be desired. read more

Staff and ambiance are great here. Food is good overall, with some caveats. Kimchi Jjigae (stew) - Great! Surprisingly refreshing and satisfying even on a hot day. The meat was rather tough though. Korean Fried Chicken - Tasted great. The outside was nicely crispy and the chicken is tender and juicy. It is, however, a massive portion with nothing else. I ordered a salad for extra (+$4) but I really wish the dish was adjusted so it was less chicken and came with a salad or rice as part of the dish. I ended up needing to take some of it to-go. Jam and Ricotta toast - A miss for me. Too much ricotta, too much jam in my opinion. It ended up being too heavy, too sweet, and too wet for me to really enjoy. I had to scrape off some of the toppings to finish it. Sparkling Matcha Ade - Not bad. However, between this and the jam and ricotta toast, I think their jams are just too sweet for my taste. Was really excited to try this place especially with the food reviews. Walked in around 1:30pm and more than half the tables weren't busted yet, and there were many open tables and we asked for a table for 2. The waitress said, "are you dining in? If you are it'll be an hour wait for the food" AN HOUR... IF WE'RE DINING IN.... Of course, we said no thank you and left immediately. As we got to the door, the owner (I believe) ran out to stop us and said "Sorry, we just had our soft opening 2 weeks ago. We ran out of our old ingredients and got new ones" I'm not entirely sure what she was saying but what got me was when she said-- "We were really busy today. But you guys should come on the weekday when it's not busy". Excuse me??? Obviously it won't be busy on the weekdays, but don't tell me to come in when it's not busy. We told her we will not be coming in on the weekdays and I'm sorry but after that I don't think I'll come back even on the weekend... Your soft opening was 2 weeks ago... I don't know how you can focus on take out orders and make your dine in orders last of your priorities. I was okay with trying again next weekend but her telling me when to come eat instead of saying we're improving and will provide better service so come in next weekend proves to me that they are not fit at the moment to handle their business. read more

My friend sent this to me on an early Saturday morning as we were looking for a bunch place before we headed over to the renaissance faire. I wasn't sure what to expect since the place was so new, but we walked inside in our full renaissance garb, and were welcomed warmly by the staff. We had a group of 6, so I was fairly surprised they were able to seat us so quickly. Food came fast. I ordered the Jang-Jorim burrito. It was larger than I expected it to be, and comes with a side salad and green sauce. Although I'm not sure what was in the sauce it was SO addictive that I used all of it for the half that I ate and forgot to save some for the leftovers. The outside of the burrito is perfectly crispy. If you don't have a large appetite, I would recommend sharing this dish with someone else! My friend got the Dweji gomtang (Korean pork soup) which was much lighter in comparison to the burrito. Personally, this was my favorite since it was perfectly balanced and settled well. Because of the heaviness of the burrito, I didn't want to order any cafe drinks, but if I were to return the earl grey cafe latte would be the first thing I would try since my friends said they loved it! read more
