What a great place to get hot pot in Bellevue! The place is very clean, neat, I love the theme of this restaurant. Lots of parking and very friendly service! The food came out very fast, the food was very healthy and rich in flavor. I highly recommend and would come back.
Tomato broth tastes good, food came with a decent portion. Service is not too good tho, I ordered two plates of meat, and they give it to me around 40 mins later. But at least they don't have time limit. Place is pretty clean and bright.
Nan Hot Pot is pretty great, it's a hot pot place in Bellevue right next to the Regal & Edgeworks. My friends and I came late after climbing and we had a blast. We got the tri-flavor pot with tomato, pork, and spicy broth. My fav was hands down the pork bone broth, it soaks into the food so well. Late at night they have happy hour specials which are super worth it - plates of meat are like $2 or $3. We ordered a lot but my favorite non-hot pot dishes were the Braised Intestine and Sweet Potato Pancake. For hot pot, I recommend getting the Sweet Potato Vermicelli and the Enoki (they give so much)! Even though they close at 10:30, the kitchen closes at 9:30, so be aware of that! They also start cleaning up before 10:30 and want everyone out by then. We had a good experience and paid around $40 pp for a meal that got us all pretty full.
My partner and I have been curious to try Nan after walking past it once and seeing their dessert poster. We came for lunch right after opening and we were the 2nd party there. They filled up quickly soon after. My first impression was that most of their customers are Asians, specifically Chinese, and for a hotpot place, that is a good sign. We ordered three broths - their signature chili (mild), mushroom, and tomato. Their mild broth was way too spicy for us - I was expecting it to be quite spicy because the place seemed authentic but not to the degree we got. It had me wondering if they gave us the spicy version by mistake. We also did not like the tomato broth so we mostly used the mushroom one. The food was quite good. The major flaw in our experience was that our meat orders took 50 minutes to arrive. For raw meat that we have to cook ourselves, that kind of delay is unacceptable, especially considering we were the 2nd party to arrive and by the time we got the meat, there were 12 occupied tables and they were served their proteins before us. We ended our meal with the Strawberry Shave Ice which was very refreshing and tasty. It takes 20 minutes to make so if you are planning on getting it, I suggest ordering it in advance. The serving is big enough to be shared by 4-6 persons.
We stopped by Nan Hot Pot on Easter and were pleasantly surprised. Their menu offers items you don't usually see--chicken feet, liver, fresh cilantro, and more--all at very reasonable prices. The canned drinks are a nice touch, parking is plentiful, and we were seated immediately. Meats and veggies arrived quickly, so we didn't wait, and every broth flavor was delicious. The ambiance makes you feel like you're dining in Hong Kong. It's the best budget-friendly hot pot in town--just watch your order volume, because it adds up fast!
Another aesthetic hot pot place featuring a lot of traditional Chinese ingredients and spread. This place stands out as you can get a 3-flavor hotpot for actually a slightly cheaper price than a 2-flavor hotpot, surprisingly. We got the pork broth, spicy broth, and mushroom broth. I liked the former 2, but the mushroom broth had the strong mushroom taste so I was not necessarily a fan of it. We also ordered a spread of meats and vegetables, all of which are of decent quality: we particularly loved the shrimp paste with dragonfruit, sliced beef, and fortune bag with fish roe. The signature platter was okay - you do need to like the more adventurous ingredients to enjoy it so it is not for everyone, but it was aesthetic, 3x3 layout. We also got dessert - the bay berry coconut milk ice bucket - which is fairly refreshing and I really loved the mochi inside. The ice is also not too sweet yet flavorful. Service could be better but for a Chinese restaurant, the primary emphasis is the food and it is on point for sure. My friend also believes this is one of the better hot pot places out there, and it is excellent that it doesn't get so busy compared to many other hot pot places out there, especially if you go to the Seattle area.
Didn't really live up to the reviews. Service was below average. Our server was on their break and made it difficult to get their attention to refill the water pitcher. Food was good, but nothing worth talking about.
3.5 stars but rounded up. Everyone says getting 3 soups is cheaper than getting 2, so that is what we did. Got the mushroom, pork and sour cabbage soup. Not a single soup had good flavor. It was all bland. They also brought the wrong soups out so it took forever after we got all the food for the soup to arrive. Thankfully the sauce bar was decent so broth didn't matter as much. Speaking of sauce bar, they have cute little containers of sesame oil. We shared one among the 3 of us and still had a lot left. We ordered a variety of meats and veggies and seafood items and nothing stood out. Don't recommend ordering the corn - it was clearly frozen and had no flavor whatsoever and was chewy. We were very excited about the Instagram worthy shave ice. I wish it came in a smaller size because it was just the 3 of us and it was enough shave ice for 5-6ppl. It wasn't bad, but wasn't great. Inside also had grass jelly and red bean and grapes, but it was a watery mess in the center with ice all around. There's no way to eat this without making a mess. Overall, this place is very different with exotic meats like snake head, but not sure it's my cup of tea. Glad I tried it though and I'm sure some people will love it even though I think it's average.
A very cute and well decorated hotpot spot! The initial service was good, as well as the refilling of the soup bases intermittently throughout. The best thing on the menu here was the mango shaved ice - super refreshing and tasty after the meal (perfect split between 5 people). Honestly the other items were quite average. As it is a similar price as Haidilao though, I would recommend going to Haidilao for bigger tables, better service, and more options for dishes or Happy Lamb across the street for ACYE.
* 3.5/5 Rounded up * The mild spicy here is already REALLY SPICY so beware (I am asian) I think overall the ambiance and service here is good--not too crowded and the interior is somewhat like an asian night market. I would say the food here is a bit pricier than other ACYE hotpot places and the sauce bar is pretty small. But because of it, I think the sauce bar is well maintained. I think Nan Hotpot isn't too special compared to other hotpot places, but it is in a good location so it's nice to go for a stroll in nearby stores afterwards.
I saw people rave about this on social media (and esp the pretty desserts!) Boyfriend and I came last Saturday. This used to be called Huo Yan Hot Pot; the ambience and such were more modern in terms of tables and booths 3 years ago but I believe they had gotten new ownership so the wooden tables and now benches are at this establishment. My boyfriend said it reminds him of the hotpot places in Shanghai; casual, simple, authentic! A lot can happen in 3 years huh? Nan is known for their authentic chongqing style hot pot. We came around 5 and it's already popular! Luckily we got a table right away. Their menu is digital so you order from the tablet and they send you your order(s). You can come back at any time to add anything you'd like! We got the 3 soup base (which was $2 less than the 2 soup base) which I felt was a little odd but we got a good variety. The traditional spicy broth was pretty spicy, even for mild! We loved it, and Hot pot is not the same without that soup base! We paid for it later...but worth it if you love spicy and if you haven't had it in a while. Love the variety of veggies, meats. They didn't have much seafood...however, I especially loved the shrimp balls. They were different bc they had a shrimp paste filling in the middle that tasted like a quail egg. I recommend giving it a shot! My boyfriend loved the sauce bar, especially the chili sauce he had gotten; it looked more like chili flakes in sauce. They gave some of the dishes flavor! They had braised quail eggs. The bean curd was okay, I think it was too long and thin for our taste. The shredded potato was something different, wouldn't get it for next time. The Chinese beer was excellent!!! And of course, loved the sour plum juice as well. We were SO full, we didn't have any room for dessert. I'd want to try one next time! However, maybe not the $20 desserts, I've heard mixed reviews and it would definitely be best to share one if possible. *NOTE: this place is not AYCE. Service was great! They were very attentive!

Perfect weather for hot pot so we came here early to avoid crowds. It's cross from the movie theater in Crossroads mail with complimentary parking spots. It was my first time so I was looking forward to try everything. When we walked in, ambiance was old fashioned atmosphere for generations ago in Asia. It's fascinating. We ordered 3 popular broths, proteins and vegetables on tablet and server brought out to your table. They provided pickled radishes, small tomatoes, green grapes and dressing and dessert soup on salad bar. Soy sauce and vinegar were on the other side too. The service was upbeat and they helped you portion shrimp paste and bottomless plum juice. The food was flavorful and delicious. There are so many hot pot spots around the are and we wanted to try this spot to see how it compared! We came in around 5:30 pm on a Saturday night and it was packed but luckily we did not have to wait to get a table for 2. Service was extremely fast and attentive which impressed us. This is not an AYCE spot, so for 2 people we ordered about 7 items and shared the 3 soup bases: mushroom, spicy (mild), and pork bone. The menu here is not as extensive as other spots we've been to. We also tried the mango shave ice and we felt that it was not worth the price for around $22. There was sadly not enough mango and it was mainly ice which we were disappointed about - would prefer to go elsewhere for shave ice next time! Overall, we don't regret trying this new spot but we are unsure if we would return. Other than the wonderful service, this spot did not stand out unfortunately and there are alternative hot pot spots that are a bit more affordable and offer a wider selection of meats, sides, veggies, and soup bases. The bill for two people came out to be about $120 for which we felt was a bit pricy for what we ordered. read more
One of the best hotpot in Seattle. It's the traditional Sichuan type of hotpot so a lot of the meats come very spicy already. I recommend to have mild spicy for your soup base. I recommend to get their spicy beef, shrimp paste, tendon and fried rice. The spicy beef is super tender and flavorful. We got the mango shaved ice for dessert and it was perfect after having spicy and heavy hotpot. read more

First time trying Nan Hot Pot, the soup bases and the foods are great. They are different type of hot pots, way spicy comparing with other hot pot places. If you are interested in chengdu hotpot, this is a place for you. The services are amazing. Emily is super helpful and explaining everything for us. My friends and I cannot handle too much of spicy but still want to try the spicy soup base, she helps us to take out the chilis and gives us a lot of recommends of the sauces to eat with. We don't have a chance to try their desserts this time, will try it next time for sure! read more
One thing I love about this place is that there are pretty unique options that I wouldn't usually see at a hot pot place, like konjac noodles or beef tongue. The prices are pretty decent for hot pot as well, especially if you go during happy hour ($3 lamb??). The sauce bar is pretty good too! If you like spicy, get the spicy broth. They might lower the heat on the pot as time passes but I'd recommend keeping it going strong since with low heat, the spicy oil clings more readily to the food and it's a different kind of spicy. Would get again: - beef tongue - lamb - fish - shrimp - potato noodles (but don't leave it in for too long) - enoki mushrooms Would not get again: - Spicy beef (too thick) - Yam (takes too long) - squid (too fishy) read more

Staff is so nice! I went with my friends on Sunday evening. It was busy because the food is great. I enjoyed my time there. When arrived at home I noticed that I forgot to ask for a receipt - so I called them later in the evening (after the busiest hours), and the lady was super nice to help me find it. I'll definitely come back again. read more

We tried their spicy, tomato, and bone broth. Food was fresh and plentiful. Unique items on the menu you don't see at other hot pot places. Highly recommend the little fish roe bags. One downside is they don't give you utensils ... which was very odd. Had to grab a bunch of bowls and spoons ourselves from the sauce stand. This place would be perfect if they just gave us a plate or bowls. read more

We came here because the reviews online were good. I definitely regret it. Ambiance: I like the Chongqing style decorations. They are interesting. Food: The spicy soup base was alright but very salty. The non spicy soups were bland. the ingredients didn't taste fresh. I can't believe there weren't 油条 or 面条... Really? My stomach also felt bad after the meal. Usually if it's just the spiciness (since my family is from Chongqing, I visit often), it's diarrhea the next day. This place I felt bad immediately after. Service: not good. They give you an iPad to order. Ok that's standard now. But when you need service, it takes a long time (and the store was empty when we were there). It took a long time for food to show up too. Well, I'm at a Chinese restaurant so I'd adjust expectations for that. What I'm most mad about is: 1. I think they use electric stove maybe? Or the fire is just hidden? It took a long time for the soup to boil. As soon as it started boiling, they came over and turned down the heat!!! Now I put in food and wait for another 10 mins for them to cook!? 2. They never added water/soup to the pot. It went almost dry. Let's not even talk about comparing against the restaurants in China. Considering the price tag, I don't get how people would rate this place 5 stars compared to Haidilao, Little sheep/Happy lamb, and Spicy popo next door. read more

This is a more new location of hot pot in Bellevue crossroads area. I thought it was decent the first time and even better the second time. Unlike other hot places that are a bit chaotic this place provides a quiet ambiance even though filled tables where you can hear each other speak and have enough space around you that you don't feel suffocated. Service is amicable with most of it behind self serve - in this sense it is a plus because busier locations you might wait forever for service to come and pick up your paper and go over the check boxes. Here, they provide you an iPad and you can continue to add to your order through the meal. We really enjoyed the fatty beef and lamb , we're not as impressed with the more expensive prime short rib cut - it seemed cut too thick and was a bit on the tough side. The broth we got was half mushroom and half pork bone and not too overpowering. The sauce selection is decent with cilantro onions sesame garlic and little containers of sesame oil to bring to your table. For the value and quality this is great choice to satisfy your hot pot cravings. read more
4.5 stars, recommended! Make sure you make a reservation beforehand, and the spicy level in this restaurant is a little high, so make sure to adjust the level or ask servers for their suggestions. The restaurant is pretty popular and busy. 4 of us came on Friday 7 pm, the restaurant was fully seated and two groups of walk-ins were waiting. The host and servers were very friendly and nice. They frequently checked our table for water and empty plates. We ordered three-flavor soup bases: tomato, nan spicy, and bone/original. All of them were great. The spicy soup base is pretty spicy ( we ordered mild), and a lot of their meat product were fully covered by pepper (see pictures, hot but good!). Highly recommend Thin Sliced Beef Tongue In Hot & Numbing, spicy beef, Rake Tendon, Rake trotters, egg fried rice, and Shao pi. All the beef were really tender, they also have a lot good offal dishes, such as kidney and liver, I am not a big fan of offal, but my friends enjoyed them a lot. Nan hot pot's dessert is fantastic too, it's big enough to feed 4-5 people. We ordered mango bingsoo, perfect after hotpot. plenty of parking outside of the restaurant in the plaza. $50-60 per person read more
There's no doubt the mala broth is authentically numbing and spicy. The food ingredients however doesn't taste as fresh and meeting the standard expectations. With Seattle areas chain hot pots competition, I don't see this place stand out very far. The duck blood also tasted very bland with tongue staining with colors. I doubt the authenticity and quality of duck blood at this establishment. read more

Came the first time with friend from WuHan that he approved that the hot pot here is authentic. Fresh ingredients and great service that servers keeps checking on your table to ensure you get everything on time. Also they have you warm greeting as well when you are seated. Restroom is clean and the vibe makes me feel like I'm dining in Asia. Great flavor great service. Will return again soon! read more

We went to Nan Hot Pot to celebrate a birthday. I called to make a reservation for 12 people one day before the event which was on a Monday and they were able to accommodate a large party by providing two tables for us. Our reservation was at 7pm but we ended up getting seated at 7:20pm because they were still getting ready. That was fine though because we weren't pressed for time or had a schedule to keep. Had we needed to do something else, being seated 20 minutes late wouldn't have been ideal. I digress. When I had initially asked about any birthday treats, I was initially told that we could maybe get noodles. When we arrived, I was told that noodles were no longer the case and that we would be getting dessert instead if I wrote a review. Bribery at its finest, I must say I respect the hustle, and while I didn't want to give in to such tactics, it was a special day and here I am writing this review. The food was good but we had to ask for water several times. At one point, we didn't even have a pitcher on our table. So if you ask for what you want, you'll get it eventually. This review may seem critical but it's honest and regardless of the experience or why this review came to be, the food was very good. Service could be better but I'm still giving it a 5/5 because out of all the hot pot places I've been to, which isn't a big number, this one felt like it had the most unique menu. My friends also liked it more than the competitors and that's saying something since they actually like hot pot. One said that the broth was fresher and although I probably couldn't tell the difference in a comparison test, I'll take his word for it. I can't remember exactly what we ordered other than pig brain, liver, tripe, mushrooms, and some fish but like I said, it was good and pictures are attached. Overall, I'm not a huge fan of hot pot and it's not something I would choose for myself if given multiple options, but after tonight, whether it was the event, the people I was with, or the food itself, this is the only hot pot restaurant that left me wanting more. read more

Very good hotpot place! We got the tomato, pork, and chili oil soup base and they were all delicious. The shrimp balls, lamb, and beef were good, but the spicy beef was very spicy for both me and my friend so definitely avoid that if your spice tolerance is low. The servers were very nice and attentive. I would definitely come back! read more

The hot pot are great. The service was awesome. I like the area and that there is plenty of free parking. The ambiance was super busy and packed house. I hope that there are more options at the side bar next time, like desserts or fresh fruits. read more

Wanted to love this place given the glowing reviews but was let down. Soup base was tasty. Service was great. However, limited ingredient selection for a hot pot place was disappointing. I tried to overlook the minimal selection of options but with the lackluster flavors of the signature plates, I found myself thinking this place is not worth the hype given the price. Happy lamb is, in my opinion, a better cheaper alternative. Dolar shop, if you're willing to spend maybe $20 more per person for a fancier meal. read more
