    Fave soup!

I come here every week, and this place never disappoints! The host, Racheal, and our server, Xiaomei, always make us feel so welcome with their warm, friendly, and attentive service. They consistently go above and beyond to make every visit enjoyable, and their hospitality is one of the main reasons we keep coming back. The food is absolutely outstanding. Everything is fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You can tell they use high quality ingredients, and every dish is prepared with care. If you're a hot pot lover, this is hands down one of the best places to visit. The broths are rich and delicious, the meats and seafood are fresh, and there is an incredible selection of ingredients to choose from. Excellent service, amazing food, and a wonderful atmosphere. Every visit has been consistently great, and I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an unforgettable hot pot experience. I will definitely keep coming back!

Service is going downhill! I came here on my birthday and once again the meat arrived before even our soup. I had to ask our server if he could bring us an apron twice so I had to wait even longer before starting to eat. A few of our meat plates were very fatty. The taste was not up to par. Afterwards, both me and my boyfriend had stomach issues for a few days. I don't think I'll return here for a while...

Overall: 5 stars First time visiting Haidilao, and it can be a bit overwhelming with how gamified they made the dining experience, but that is also part of the fun. I love how the chain is up to date with current trends, including the most recent fascinating passionfruit hot pot broth, which I found to add a delightful fruity acidic sweetness to an otherwise saline forward meal. At face value, everything at this restaurant runs quite expensive; that said, the quality is definitely high as observed by the meat marbling. I also like that they have marinated items like their fish, which adds a flavor dimension beyond just boiled white fish. The sauce bar with free apps, fruits, and desserts, as well as the secret code freebies, and the high quality of service does help justify the price tag though. When paired with the extensive couponing abilities, this is a hot pot chain that could definitely see repeated visits. Came by on a Friday night to check out the Meat O'Clock $19.99 AYCE deal that's available before 5pm on weekdays and after 9:30pm everyday. I've been to several Haidilaos before, and this store was just as well-maintained and clean as others. We waited ~one hour around 9pm, which was long enough that we got a free order of wagyu. I also always appreciate the snacks that are available to the people waiting in line at all Haidilaos I've been to. The tl;dr is that I don't think I'd opt for Meat O'Clock again, as the available meat options (Australian lamb shoulder, Angus Beef Short plate, signature marinated beef tenderloin, marinated basa fish, white prawn) didn't taste the best. The fish especially had a pretty unpleasant texture. I thought the best thing we had was the wagyu that we got for waiting in line! Also, you have to pay separately for the sauce bar and the soup base, so the $19.99 ONLY includes the meat and nothing else. I think I'd rather pay more for the more premium cuts of meat next time. The free parking with validation is very handy, and the service was as friendly as always, though it was really busy on a Friday night, so it did take a while for our waiter to come by.

Haidilao in downtown Bellevue is our regular hot pot spot. We come here whenever we're in the mood. There's a garage in the same building and you can validate your ticket for free. Street parking or the Safeway garage also works fine and it's a short walk. If you are not familiar with hot pot, the servers will happily walk you through. It can get busy during peak hours and weekends, so it's better to plan ahead. The menu has a lot of choices. Different meats, soup bases, veggies, noodles, so you'll find something you like for sure. If you don't want anything spicy, the pork bone soup is a safe pick. You do pay extra for the sauce bar, but it's unlimited and comes with side dishes and dessert. I always mix my own sauce and make the jelly dessert. For the meat, I recommend getting the premium cuts if you're picky. Hot pot makes the difference in quality really obvious since you're just dipping it in the broth. Prices are on the higher side, especially if you want to leave full. It's also better with more people so you can try more things without overordering. Overall, a solid spot we keep coming back to.

We came here for late night all you can eat hot pot deal. We were very hungry after concert and saw their ad about 19.99 for AYCE hot pot and decided to give it a try. We ended up paying double as All soup base cost about the same price like $18 and you only have 5 choices of meat to choose from. I am also not sure if the meat quality deteriorate when we come later in the day but the meat we got was definitely sub par from any other hot pot places we have been. I have to say that the service was very good and the staffs checked on us multiple times to make sure we are good. Maybe also because we came late, there were a lot of loud screaming in different tables. I understand Asian restaurants are louder in general but this was another level. I hope their normal menu is better.

How have I never been here before?! This came as a highly anticipated recommendation from my host family for the weekend! I've worked in restaurants and hospitality for a substantial portion of my life and these people get it! They were so nice, communicative, helpful and always ready to help! We had a birthday and it was so fun! They brought us toys, blanket for the baby and gave us a noodle dance (blew me away! Must order!) The food was awesome, the sauce bar was epic and the fridge of self serve ice cream and snacks was a great touch! I'm used to AYCE for this type of experience but the quality was great and did we order a little too much? Maybe! The spicy broth was killer and the food robot was pretty cool!

2026: Long waits are common: something for your trouble

This time my wife, daughter, and I came for lunch at this popular hot pot restaurant. It's been a while since the last time I was here, so was interested in what has changed and stayed the same. What's clear is that they continue to refine their experience. It's a very completive market for hot pot restaurants in the Seattle metro area, and it seems as if they are doing well, for good reason. My daughter made a reservation for 11:30 on a weekday. Free parking is available with validation in the same office building as the restaurant. We waited outside for our reservation, and a server came out, seating us a bit early. She spent time with us to explain our set lunch options: for $19.99, one can get an AYCE, but nothing else comes with it (no sauce bar, no vegetable tray, and most importantly, one must buy the broth separately). Thus we went with the fixed price option ($24.99). The broth comes in a pot with 4 separate areas, allowing up to 4 diners to pick different flavors. One broth choice not available before was the Pork Stomach and Chicken Soup Base, which is what I went with. I really liked it. It came with small pieces of tripe along with pork ribs, and the flavoring was excellent. Every single item in the Mixed combo vegetable tray (no substituions) were things I enjoy in a hot pot. My favorite was the deep fried tofu paper, and I ended up eating everybody else's share too. The set lunch comes with a drink...canned soda mostly, but I wanted to try WangLaoJi Herbal Tea choice...way too sweet for me, undrinkable. The meat came next, and the quality continues to be good here. It is thinly sliced, and served frozen so easier to handle with chopsticks. The combo comes with one meat tray, selected from 5 different choices (pork, beef, lamb). We got the Kurobuta Pork Tenderloin, and angus beef short plate (x2). With the strong seasoning that we used, it was more about the texture and amount of fat in the slices. The sauce bar seemed to have been upgraded. Not only did it have the most type of different sauces I've seen, it also came with fresh fruit and small bags of chips, and freshly fried shrimp chips. Dessert consisted of cheap, single serve ice cream cups which I haven't had for a long time, along with more chips. They use the server robot to deliver the meat tray, but one must wait for the server to put it on your table. It's a bit confusing, and could see a newbie trying to self serve. One thing that did impress us were the bathrooms: single use mouthwash, and personal (disposable) toothbrushes and combs were provided for folks going back to the office. With all of these different choices, the pricing could have been so complicated and hard to verify. Instead, it ended up being the quoted price. Love that!

We waited nearly 2.5 hours to be seated on a Friday night, so we were VERY hungry by the time we were seated. We opted for half-mushroom base, half their spiciest sichuan base. I really really enjoyed the mushroom base and the sichuan base was a little too much for me. I found the ordering experience seamless and easy. And the wait staff was constantly on the move supporting with orders. All in all, a very active and good experience (minus the wait). Unfortunately, we were all too stuffed for dessert, but we saw a couple of folks enjoying little cups of ice cream.

Always a great experience here! Lots of variety, foot comes out fast, and the services is always on top of it!

Finally my first Haidilao in the U.S.! I have to say, after trying so many hot pot places in China and here, Haidilao is surely the most fun one. Their staff were seriously the best, super friendly, helpful, and attentive. We came on Super Bowl day because I know this is probably the place where I wouldn't run into an excited crowd, so that was good for me. And I liked how they were playing Tom and Jerry in the restaurant. For the soup base, we went with the spicy soup base and the curry soup base. The curry one was beyond my expectations. It was creamy and flavorful, so good for noodles and udon. The spicy one was fine too, but I learned my lesson the hard way, please don't put crown daisy in it, it absorbs the spiciness like a sponge. I also had some beef and beef aorta, they were usually my go to protein dishes for hotpot. I loved to cook them in the spicy soup. I loved their sauce and snack bar, everything was displayed and arranged so clearly. I tried the fish skins for the first time, it was chewy, crunchy, and spicy, i think it was good. Again, I'm not the "I only eat chicken finger" kind of person , I'm the one that eat chicken feet. I made a sweet yet refreshing brown sugar jelly to finish my meal. It was a fun dinner! The only thing I wanted to complain about was that when we left the restaurant, I noticed one of the screens was playing a program from Turning Point. Like, what the actual f*ck was that? I hope it was just someone who doesn't know English randomly choosing a channel, and not something done on purpose.

I have been to this location a few times and I would say this is my preferred location in Washington due to its location and parking availability. Parking is an indoor parking garage that you'll need to validate inside the restaurant. Today, I came to eat the Meat O'clock deal which is $19.99/pp and $9.99/child. The meat options available in this deal are AYCE angus beef short plate (my favorite), Australian lamb shoulder, white prawn, marinated basa fish, and spicy marinated beef tenderloin. Currently, they added A5 Waygu chuck roll to this deal but it's one order per table. This is only for the meat mentioned so everything else is extra, including the sauce bar. The place is always clean (including their restroom) and there are plenty of seats. There's moderate lighting, not too bright and not too dim, but there are neon lights on the wall. All of the seatings are booth style, which I like. They offer you an apron so you don't splash food on your clothes but they do occasionally run out of them, depending on how busy they get. Thus far, I have never had a bad service here and always appreciate the staff for their kindness and attentiveness. If you're new to Haidilao then I recommend looking up their "secret phrases" so you, too, may get a gift! They also offer free snacks while you wait and ice cream to take on your way out. Anyways, I recommend this place and it's always fun to go in a group. Although it can be pretty pricey so don't come here expecting to not pay much .

It's been a while since we've been here. Decided to check it out since we were around the area and it was a holiday and luckily they were open. This time, I parked in their garage. I had a hard time getting a ticket. The machine ended up not giving one so I just went in. It was late anyhow. They have their usual enormous connect 4 game while you wait. They have someone help you join the wait list. They will text you and you can see what number you are. That's something that is new for us. And I saw that they have a banner saying that if you want for an extended amount of time, you can be comped with items. Unfortunately, we were only a few minutes away from getting one of the items. They have a nice array of snacks and a drink while you wait. It took almost an hour. The restaurant is bright and you can literally smell the soup in the lobby. The bathroom is clean and stocked with toiletries. They give you an iPad to order your food. The food came pretty quickly. I ordered the mixed trays because I thought it would be more economical. For 4 people, it was about $150. We opted for the sauce bar. They have a good selection when it comes sauces - spicy, spices, condiments, crispy, sweet, vinegary. You can be your own mixologist. It's a tight space! It was busy for a late night. They have specials late at night too. We had a great time and dining experience.

Was…read moreadvised a 20min wait on a Tuesday night around 7pm as 9th in line and was seated right after 20ish minutes. Interior is on point and super elegant. The resturant is 2 stories but sectioned off as if there are little rooms around which cuts down on noise and makes it feel less busy which is a plus. The food and soups were pretty good, above what you'd expect from a normal ayce spot. Selection is decent, has a good amount of meats and vegetables but not as vast as the other ayce spots. We only ordered 1 plate of the wagyu which I forgot the name of but it was in the $30 range and was fantastic. Service was very attentive, checking up very often to remove plates, refill water, refill soup, and to give us ice cream at the end. Sauce is made and provided at the beginning of your meal but there is also a sauce bar if you'd like to make your own. There is also a jelly dessert area, fruits, and cold appetizer bar next to it. Overall it was a pleasent 1st experience here and we'll mostly be back. Heard the happy hour after 9 is great too! If you go on your birthday you will spin a wheel for a free dish or $ off.

Typically, the…read moreservice adequately matches the price and atmosphere, but we hadn't been back in a while due to a couple disappointing experiences. But tonight's service was so exceptional, it restored our trust enough to want to return! Sammy was attentive, thoughtful, and kind to us. She checked in often on our noodle and soup refills, cleared plates so fast, filled our water glasses before we could finish them, and proactively noticed when we hadn't received our extra order of meat. She was so gracious in offering us ice water after my husband ate too many thai chilies. With this level of service at this price point, we're very much looking forward to coming back. Thank you, Sammy -- we'll see you again soon!

They were celebrating their 8th anniversary with some Anniversary specials, so my husband and I ordered the premium Wagyu combo which came with an appetizer, sparkling wine (we opted for just regular drink) and bonus Yuzu sherbet dessert for our anniversary. I got the American Wagyu and husband got the A5 Japanese cut. Both soooo delicious, light and very good quality. The selections and portions were more than enough for us and our Dads. We also got the Happy Hour Sake Sampler set for $20 which was tasty as well. The server and workers there were so amazing. Friendly and came by our table numerous times to make sure we were ok. Took pictures for us and just great all around. This was my 2nd time at this location and I know I'll be back more times again. We loved that it wasn't as crowded as dinner hours. It's one of very few hot pot spots where you get your own pot so you can enjoy it the way you like it...Such a lovely spot, a hidden gem in Bellevue. MUST GO FOR SURE.

I visited Shabu Shabu Kyoto for a weekend dinner. Parking was very easy as there a bunch of other…read morerestaurants in the area. Although it was pretty busy inside, we were able to be seated in about 10 minutes, which was great for a last minute decision for Shabu Shabu. I haven't done many Shabu Shabu places, but this one is a bit different since you get a set of vegetables and meat rather than ordering multiple rounds. The quality of the meat and vegetables, in my opinion, was much higher compared to those places where you're able to get multiple rounds of meat or select your own vegetables/sides. The broth (I had kombu) was pretty light, so it wasn't the best. The service was pretty friendly and the only fault to them was they didn't come around to refill our pots with hot water. I enjoyed dinner here and would definitely come back again. The quality of the food, the calm restaurant atmosphere, and the polite staff made it an enjoyable experience.

All in all it's similar quality to what you'd get at a place like HiDiLao but at a fraction of the price and with more choice.

I came in with about 45 min before we had to be somewhere else which is usually a decent amount of time. It was a little busy so it took about 20 minutes before we were seated and my boyfriend's bowl came out. I noticed that my number was called but when we went up my bowl was not there. We asked the guy in the window if it was there or just a mistake and he said he had put it out and asked to see our receipt with the bowl number. He looked at our receipt and then went around the entire restaurant and found my bowl and the person who took it! (It was an accident, still frustrating). He told us that I could remake my bowl at no extra cost, but by that point we didn't have enough time to wait for it to cook and eat. They refunded us and brought over an extra side of oranges and gave us three drinks for free, which is extremely generous considering it was not their fault at all. I was bummed by not getting my meal but very grateful that they cared enough about my experience that they wanted to make up for a mistake that they didn't make. Now I'll have to come back again to get my bowl! TLDR: my bowl was taken by another costumer but I didn't have time for it to be remade so they gave me extra sides and free drinks **please don't take advantage of them, they WILL check your receipt and find your bowl

The beef soup lunch combo comes with plentiful amount of toppings, a side of rice or noodles, and an iced tea of your choice (I recommend the winter melon tea!) I do think the value is just better for lunch because there's plenty of food and it comes with a sweet tea drink, which nicely balances the fatty, salty flavors of hot pot. (The wintermelon was sweeter than the green tea, fyi.) I gotta come back again to try some of the sets I haven't had before! I was here for my birthday and my friends brought me a cake. The staff was really friendly and provided forks and plates for the cake, and also lit the candles for us! You can park in Uwajimaya parking lot and get validated if you're there for two hours or less. You can also find gift cards to use at BP at Costco, so it's sort of like a discount!
