Our group came here since it's right next to our hotel. After we were seated, our server Noah explained in detail what the options were, how much food we should order, and what some of his favorites were. It was very useful since most of us hadn't tried hot pot before or it had been a long time. Given how many menu options there are, Noah helped to narrow the choices down for us. He also recommended some other side dishes for us to get that we could enjoy while our food cooked. After ordering, we went to the condiment bar to make the dipping sauce for the meats that we'd cook in the different broths. Read the ingredient lists above the bar to make one of the standard dipping sauces or mix and match ingredients using your creativity. Although the broths infuse a lot of flavor to the meat, the dipping sauce you choose will enhance the flavor of the meats. Don't skip doing this. The meats and veggies came out quickly. Since we were a big party, they gave us individual wire baskets that we could cook with. Also very helpful to prevent folks from having to fish out their stuff Everything was pretty tasty. This hot pot is conveniently located at the same building as grand Hyatt and when we came around late lunch time we were seated right away. We tried the chicken and tomatoe broth and we really liked it. All the food we ordered came right away and quality was good. The service was good and nice as well. The hot pot broths were delicious, and we loved the sauce bar and mini appetizer station, it was such a nice touch. My favorite was the shrimp paste. It was fresh, flavorful, and a must order! We also tried the Wagyu meat variety. While the quality was excellent, it was way more meat than our family could finish. I like how you can get literally three different broths and not be charged extra lol. My favorite was the Thai tom yum. The tom yum flavor was subtle, but good. Each meat was absolutely incredible. My favorite one was by far the freshly cut short ribs. It was sooo good, buttery sort of, and melt in your mouth. The sauce bar was good too, I like how the sauce bar wasn't an extra charge as well. Best hotpot I've had in a long time We did a split pot with the golden broth and the tomato, and both were standouts. The golden broth is rich, silky, and lightly sweet from the red dates, honestly good enough to drink by the bowl before anything goes in. The tomato is bright and tangy with real depth, not the watery kind you get elsewhere, and it only gets better as the meal goes on. The marbled beef is the star: paper-thin, gorgeous marbling, plated like it matters. A few seconds in the broth and it melts. The crown daisy was super fresh and soaked up the tomato broth perfectly, and the chili-oil cold appetizer was a great way to start. I also love getting their meter beef combo because it is reasonably priced. Most important: Go during happy hour, it's 31% off from 2-4pm and then I believe after 9pm. It can still be pretty expensive with this discount so I wouldn't really go without it. Qiao Lin uses some of the highest quality beef out of all of the hot pot restaurants I've been to - I highly recommend ordering the short rib and the other specialty beef dishes. I think all of the other dishes are pretty good but not super special. Get the Chongqing spicy broth, I usually get the medium level which is a bit spicy but super flavorful and delicious. Qiao Lin also has a fantastic snack/side dishes bar, I forgot exactly what they are (will update when I go back) but I really enjoyed it. The service is fantastic, a lot of the waiters are quite energetic and seem to enjoy their job. One of the waiters once gave me a couple of Melonas to go which I thought was super nice! Not my first time here, and this place never ceases to impress. I made an online reservation yesterday for today, but realized I got the date wrong just 20 minutes before we were supposed to arrive. I called them up, and the staff was nice enough to hold their very last table for us on the condition that we arrive within 20 minutes. We were a few minutes late, but our table was still waiting for us. The server was extremely attentive and warm. Noticing we were completely out of breath from rushing over, he served us water first and waited until we settled down to introduce their current specials. Their quality control is top-notch. Both broths were excellent if you want a good balance between the two. Chongqing spice levels are no joke and if you're a spice fanantic, you'll love it. I've walked by this hot pot place, but never tried it since it opened. This hot pot place is à la carte, but if you come on certain days at certain times, all dishes are 31% off which is what I did. The broths are delicious, especially the Golden Chicken Soup with Collagen. There are also some unique ones that I've never seen like the Thai Tom Yum Broth. We tried the Tomato, Mushroom, and the Golden Chicken Broth. Instead of a fan overhead, the fan is built into the sides of the pot. There is a huge selection of dishes to order from. The menu is located online on their website. My favorite find was the House Special Frog Legs. I love frog, which you don't typically see on menus. The Fried Fish Tofu was also perfectly fried and golden brown - you did not need to cook this dish in the broth. You can call to make a reservation, but you can also join the waitlist via Yelp. We came on New Year's Day for dinner as a party of four and joined the waitlist around 6 p.m., with about 30 tables ahead of us. We didn't get seated until close to 8 p.m. There's a self-serve sauce, appetizer, and dessert bar where you can create your own dipping sauces. They even provide simple sauce recipes on the wall. The meat quality was good--fresh and tender--and there was also a wide selection of vegetables and tofu options. Service was solid. Each table has a water pitcher so you can refill your own water during the meal, which is convenient. At the end, there's complimentary ice cream available near the entrance. Overall, it was a positive experience aside from the long wait. Pricing is on the higher side, similar to other hot pot restaurants, but it's worth it for an occasional visit. First, order the broth - regardless of choosing 1, 2, or 3 different flavors, they are the same price (19). The chicken collagen was by far the best, but the pepper one was good too, and Tom yum was very strong with the lemongrass flavor which I didn't love but my partner liked. Then order everything you want cooked in the broth. We ordered a la carte and got the veggie platter (bok choy, cabbage, etc) mushroom platter, shrimp ball with egg yolk inside (recommended by our server), short ribs, fish fillet, and fresh noodles. We opted for the unlimited sauce bar (4/pp) too. The sauce bar had some tortilla and puffy chips, some kind of fish(?) dish (all good) as well as a couple of sweet items among the sauce ingredients. I attempted to follow their suggested recipes for my sauce but I ended up mixing almost everything together and it turned out okay thankfully.
