This spot has such a cozy, family-style breakfast vibe that makes you feel right at home. The service was so kind and welcoming, and the atmosphere was calm and relaxing. We came here after a hike, and it was exactly what we needed the food was delicious, the portions were generous, and we left completely satisfied. Definitely a great brunch spot if you're looking for a comforting meal and friendly service!

Buddy used AI to find a hole in the wall cafe. We were not disappointed at all. So much food! And for a long camping trip ahead of us this was the perfect fuel on our way to Tahoe. Service was quick, and you could tell this was made with care. Would go back

Found this really good place for breakfast and lunch in Auburn, CA. Food was very good and service was excellent. Plenty of parking. Like being greeted by the manager. Would come again

Cannot say enough about what a gem this cafe is. Upscale menu with something for anyones culinary likes. We had the Monte Cristo, which was superb, right down to the drizzle of rasberry sauce. The Hillbilly with deep-fried bacon (a fried chicken coating that sang "try me") was fabulous. Then "The Mess" was topped off with beautiful 1/2 Avocado, and that was so delish. We will definitely be returning to try some of the other dishes. Our waiter, was fantastic, and the owner even came out to ask us about our meal... really a special treat.

Little gem in Auburn! Staff super friendly and great customer service. We had breakfast and really liked what we had. The country gravy was tasty. The restaurant isn't very big but it's got that country feel. They are busy and keep the tables moving. If you are passing through like we were stop in!

Ease of access: It's crazy easy to get to (and return to) from Westbound I-80 Food quality and appearance: it's a treat for the eyes and the palate. Service: Fast and friendly! Felt right at home. You can tell the staff genuinely likes working there. Ambiance: informal and welcoming. I had pancakes, eggs and bacon. My companion had ricotta avocado toast. Everything was perfect. I'm SO glad we stumbled upon this place, it's a hidden treasure coming home from the Sierras. So much better than that place that's named after a round wooden enclosure containing saltines!

I've said this before - don't miss this place Service was amazing. Recommendations were spot on. Food was incredibly good. Portions were very healthy. If you're in the neighborhood, stop in and enjoy a wonderful breakfast/brunch.

We came back to visited once again and it did not disappoint! I brought more people to try it out and they enjoyed the food very much, food was very fresh, a very welcoming warm atmosphere (; , and overall a great experience for customers. I highly recommend checking this place out whenever in the area.

This is a great local diner tucked away in a shopping center. The food was delicious and came to our table quickly. The owner stopped by to say hello and provide some recommendations. He was very welcoming and clearly takes great pride in the quality of the food they have on offer. If you are on the hunt for a mom and pop diner making high quality breakfast and lunch fare look no further.

First time back in six years (don't stop in Auburn very often) but it was worth the wait. Food and service was just as awesome as last time. We ate outdoors as we had a dog with us...weather was great and they served us just as well as if we had been inside.

Well, no disappointment here! It was on a Thursday morning- people were there eating, more then kept coming since it's almost lunch time. The server gal is super sweet, prompt, and came back plenty of times asking if everything is alright! I had the hot Reuben sandwich with a cup of their clam chowder while my husband had the fish and chops and a bowl of clam chowder. LOVE the soup! Nice balance of creaminess, taste and enough clams! Filling and satisfying on its own. The sandwich was also tasty- enough that I had to bring back half to take home. Husbands fish and chip which was on their special of the day was a bit disappointing- he said wasn't as tasty as he hoped and could have been a better serving size. Overall, nice place to have breakfast or brunch; cute place to chow down since liking at everyone's else's food- serving size it quite hefty! Yay! Definitely coming back more often!

I don't know what was going on back there, but the servers barely made rounds to our table, didn't even ask us if we wanted coffee, and when we asked one server to check on our food. All she said was "it would be out soon" and we heard that for the next 10 minutes each time we asked. The restaurant itself seemed pretty clean although the bathrooms definitely could use renovation. You can just tell that either they have so much business they don't care much about service or they're just not quite sure how to dial everything in to balance the front of house and kitchen delivery. If I have any specific suggestions to offer: tell your customers upfront about your kitchen wait times. Nobody wants to wait an hour for breakfast food. Make sure to follow up with your customers and ask them if they want anything else to drink besides water it seems like a really easy way to make extra money.

Happy Easter everyone!…read more Today, my daughter and I went out to breakfast here at Sweetpeas. It is located off the freeway on the corner of Bowman and Luther roads. There was plenty of parking when we pulled in. As you walk in, you seat yourself. I hadn't been here before, but my daughter has. When we sat down (table and chairs kinda place), one server got us a couple of waters while we were looking over the menu.. perfect, because that's what we love to drink. After we decided on what we wanted I got a chance to look around at the decor on the walls. It felt very family friendly with baby pictures on the walls, signs, coffee mugs along the restaurants name spelled out on the wall. It was very cute and cozy. My daughter ordered the Carnitas Omelet (Carnitas omelet with jack cheese, black beans, red onions, avocado, and black olives, topped with sour cream. Served with sourdough toast and fresh fruit) with strawberries. I ordered the Huevos Ranchero's with eggs over medium (Corn tortillas, refried beans, 2 eggs, sour cream, avocado, homemade salsa, and cheese cheese. Also served with a side of salsa.) We didn't wait long, it arrived within 10 minutes. Also, after smelling their delicious coffee, I had to have a cup! A+!!!! My daughter let me try her Carnitas Omelet. Their Carnitas is on point! It was tender and has great flavor! Her omelet was beautifully cooked, being that it was gorgeous, yellow and fluffy. My Huevos Ranchero's was crispy in the bottom as I requested. I love the topping of avocado. The only thing I would change is to get all the salsa on the side. There was quite a bit on the Huevos Ranchero's themselves and it was a little overwhelming. Next time, I'll order it completely on the side. The menu has it listed as homemade... it tasted a little bit like it was Pace chunky salsa. I didn't even touch the side of salsa that also comes in the side and I wasn't sure what the extra side of tortillas was for, but I took those home. My daughter took home about half of her 3 egg omelet and some toast. Maddy was a great server. Everyone helped each other out by doing coffee refills for all tables (not just their own), running out hot food, and helping clean up tables as people finished their plates. Great team work! We paid up in the front and we're on our way. BE SURE TO TIP YOUR SERVER FOR ALL THEIR HARD WORK!

There were plenty of goodies to choose from like pastries, croissants, artisanal breads, cake slices, brioche bread with fruit, cinnamon rolls and several other products for sale. Their cake of the week was a mocha cake! It has layers of chocolate cake with an Expresso milk soak, frosted with expresso buttercream frosting with a chocolate ganache drip, topped with cocoa nuts... WOW!!! The artisanal breads are located on the side of the shop when you walk up towards the case. They have many flavors like roasted sourdough, pumpkin seed, kalamata olive, rosemary & lemon, and more! All breads are preservative free and made with organic flour. I decided to try the flourless brownie along with a ham and cheese croissant. I wanted something sweet and something savory. The flourless brownie was definitely my favorite of the two. It was rich, chocolatey, and had that creamy texture that you want from a good flourless brownie. It was a good size, too! The ham and cheese croissant itself was good and had a nice flaky texture, but I really wish there had been more ham and cheese inside. It felt a little light on the filling, especially compared to the size of the croissant. I absolutely enjoyed the flavor and flakey texture. It was a perfect crossiant, minus the ham and cheese part. The inside is cute but be prepared to get cozy with only a small amount of space to sit. Thankfully, they also have some outdoor seating if you want to hang out and enjoy your pastry there. I didn't get a picture of indoor or outdoor seating because they were a good amount of people enjoying their dining experience. I guess they know where the goodies are! Here! Overall, I liked discovering this little spot. Between the pastries, croissants, artisanal breads, and other goodies for sale, there was plenty to look at and definitely a few things I want to come back and try... and I'd for sure grab another one of those flourless brownies!
