We are up here from LA for wedding and found this amazing little breakfast diner. The place is cute with a country kitchen decor and vibe. Bright and clean. We were happy to see they have a separate Vegan menu of great sounding offerings. We ordered the Joe's Vegan Scramble. Sooo good. Loved it. The waiter, Yusef was amazing. Very friendly and attentive in a good way...not intrusive. The food and ambience and excellent. I would love to come back here before we leave to go home

Little gem in Auburn! Staff super friendly and great customer service. We had breakfast and really liked what we had. The country gravy was tasty. The restaurant isn't very big but it's got that country feel. They are busy and keep the tables moving. If you are passing through like we were stop in!

Ease of access: It's crazy easy to get to (and return to) from Westbound I-80 Food quality and appearance: it's a treat for the eyes and the palate. Service: Fast and friendly! Felt right at home. You can tell the staff genuinely likes working there. Ambiance: informal and welcoming. I had pancakes, eggs and bacon. My companion had ricotta avocado toast. Everything was perfect. I'm SO glad we stumbled upon this place, it's a hidden treasure coming home from the Sierras. So much better than that place that's named after a round wooden enclosure containing saltines!

I've said this before - don't miss this place Service was amazing. Recommendations were spot on. Food was incredibly good. Portions were very healthy. If you're in the neighborhood, stop in and enjoy a wonderful breakfast/brunch.

This is a great local diner tucked away in a shopping center. The food was delicious and came to our table quickly. The owner stopped by to say hello and provide some recommendations. He was very welcoming and clearly takes great pride in the quality of the food they have on offer. If you are on the hunt for a mom and pop diner making high quality breakfast and lunch fare look no further.

Our second time at Nancy's cafe and another great experience!! The owner and staff are so friendly, welcoming, and provide great service! It's a warm, clean, and enjoyable place to get breakfast and brunch. They have good portions and we loved our omelette! We can't wait to come back!

First time back in six years (don't stop in Auburn very often) but it was worth the wait. Food and service was just as awesome as last time. We ate outdoors as we had a dog with us...weather was great and they served us just as well as if we had been inside.

Open-faced turkey sandwich and a homemade cornbeef hash and eggs breakfast. Turkey was moist and flavorful and the hash was savory and not from the can! On the side had cottage cheese and sourdough toast with an excellent fig jam. Shared a fluffy, hot, Belgian Waffle with some heated syrup and whipped butter topping. That ornate glass jar the heated syrup came in was a nice touch. Everything was tasty and pricey IMO. Friendly staff and one of the best Arnold Palmers I've had. It came out unsweetened with a real deal tart lemonade taste. I added a couple of Splendas and it was ON!!! I'd return for sure. Auburn eats!!! We were greeted when we arrived and had a thanks for comin in on the way out. Friendly staff for sure with good service!! Bathroom was clean too! Visit Nancy's in Auburn!

Great little breakfast and lunch place tucked away in a small strip mall. One table outside for doggos; They brought a clean bowl of cool water for Roxie dog to enjoy. Coffee was good. The orange juice was zippy and sparkly very refreshing after a long hike on the trail. Highly recommend the cranberry and orange pancakes with whip cream, veggie sausage, well done hashbrowns, scrambled eggs and toast. Service was friendly prompt, and I didn't see a frown in the place. Owner came out and we had a nice friendly chat. It's a great place to bring friends to grab some coffee and spend any extra time and dimes you have in this economy.

Vegan burrito! Try it with the pepper plant sauce!

Stopped here on our way back from spring break in the mountains. It was great! Our waiter, Yusuf, was so nice and I love that they had a separate vegan section on their menu. I got the vegan burrito and my fam got chocolate chip pancakes and a ranchero breakfast. Everyone was happy and loved it.

The online ordering system was not working - it balked at payment - so I phoned them and ordered that way. On the day, we got a pile of plastic bags each labeled with our name, and inside mine I found my hot sandwich, still pretty warm, inside a foil wrapper. Mine was the Italian melt, lots of different kinds of meat plus provolone and a little onion and pepperocini and a mildly spicy marinara sauce lightly dabbed in. It was not too thick but nicely dense, as well as delicious, with a well chosen mix of ingredients. I didn't want too much bread, so I ordered it on marble rye, and that turned out to be fairly thin, not overwhelming, and also strongly and delightfully flavored. I'm not ordinarily big on deli sandwiches - I don't think they have much else - but this was a major find.

Stopped here at around 1:20PM on a Sunday, and it was moderately busy…read more Really friendly staff, family owned (I think) and a good amount of seating inside. There is a bathroom that you must ask for a key to. Once 1:30 rolled around, I was excited to try my sandwich given the great reviews, then came 1:40, then 1:50, and I did not have my sandwich until around 1:55. I worked in a sandwich shop for 3 years, so I know sometimes a wait is unavoidable and can recall dealing with rude customers, so I did not approach the staff regarding the wait. They were trying their best to accommodate the orders. However-- 35 minutes for 2 sandwiches, I think, is a little excessive. In the end, my sandwiches were spectacular, genuinely well crafted, and met (maybe even surpassed) my expectations. When I got back to my car, I noticed the worker (owner?) gave me a full sandwich despite me ordering half. I wasn't sure if this was purposeful as means of saying "our bad", or just a mistake, but I will say it left me in better spirits. If you have some extra time to kill, with friends etc., this is a must try. However, if you are on ANY sort of time restriction, I would not recommend stopping here. I'm sure this is not always the case, but as a stop on a long drive, I did not consider an extra 45 minutes for a sandwich. If the owners are reading this, I truly mean well and hope you know a long wait is a sign of success. Growth is inevitable!

But stuff isn't viral online for no reason.. the Dutch apple pie was incredible. Perfect even. Not too sweet apples perfectly tart. And when I went by at 12 or so today the pie was hot out of the oven. Incredible. And delicious. I also got a Peruvian marinated whole chicken, marinated hangar steak and lemon pepper marinated chicken thighs. Meats are vacuumed packed and are easy dinner options. We were in the area of Auburn coming back from a Father's Day weekend trip, and I was looking for a few easy meals to have in the fridge for the rest of the week. It was busy! But plenty of staff on hand to help move everything along. I suggest having one person wait in the car and sending one person in to stealthy acquire the goods. Also they offered me a bag of ice to keep my meats fresh for the ride. Fabulous touch. Don't be scared of the crowds and new found popularity. Go in and grab a pie and more! My favorite out of the 2 was the Strawberry Rhubarb Pie. It was sweet and tart but not to sweet. Perfect amount of sweetness. The Apple Crumble pie was good but definitely didn't best the Strawberry Rhubarb. Besides their pie they also have a restaurant connected to the market place that sell burgers and sandwiches which looks good and a at very reasonable. They have there own private parking lot with fairly a lot of parking spaces. The parking can be hard to find, depending on the time you go.
