I recommend that if you plan to take out, call ahead to place your order to save time. They are known for their pupusas, which I got on my first visit. I was curious after reading some of the positive reviews. I ordered the revuelta and chicken with cheese. Both had great flavors and would consider getting them again. The flavorful, crispy empanadas were among my favorites. I got the carne (beef) and spinach with cheese empanadas and loved them. The perfectly fried shell and flavorful filling. Their Salvadoran tamales are prepared in the traditional style, with a flavorful filling and soft, moist masa, wrapped in banana leaves rather than corn husks. I love Mexican-style tamales (especially homemade), so this was a new experience trying Salvadoran-style tamales. I think most people will order takeout, but there's a moderately sized dining area with tables. It has a local feel and a pleasant atmosphere. The staff was kind and provided great service. The prices are fair for the quality of the food. I still can't believe I waited this long to visit Nancy's. I can't wait to come back and try other items on the menu. I'm Salvadoran, which makes me a little pickier when it comes to Salvadoran food. I decided to try this spot even though it was a bit of a drive, and it was completely worth it. As soon as we walked in, it felt like home. It's a small shop like many authentic Salvadoran places, which honestly made it feel even more legit. I had read in some reviews that the main complaint was the wait time, but our food actually came out pretty quickly. And honestly, if you want authentic Salvadoran food, a little wait is part of the deal since most things are made fresh and by hand. Now let's talk about the pupusas. I ordered the queso con loroco and wow... they basically melted in my mouth. I originally planned to share one with my partner, but that plan quickly went out the window and I ate both myself. ...was in the area and craving an Empanada. Nancy's was recommended when I Yelped "Empanadas" Arrived at 11 a.m. and this was the only place in the mini mall that had a line out the door! They cook to order, so there is a minimum 20-25 min wait in addition to the people in front of you. There is ample seating, so people are also eating here so there is a counter to order, if you decide to take your food "to go" The empanadas are fried, not baked as you will notice in the posted photos. I bought 3. Ground Beef, Chicken & Jalapeno/Cheese. The ground beef turned out to be my favorite. Thought it was a good time to also try a Pupusa. Googled it while I was waiting and found out it's made of flour and normally has a filling. I asked the guy which was the most popular and he recommended the pork and cheese. It came with a cabbage slaw and hot sauce, so I looked at some photos and poured it all on. I wouldn't pour it on next time. IT WAS WAY TOO WET and SOGGY. Unfortunately, this was not a favorite of mine. Next time I'll try a bite dry first. Also added 2 orders of Plantains. They came out fresh and hot and were the best Plantains I've ever had! One order was 5 pieces, two orders were $13. ($1.30 each) There are various wait times, apparently due to the amount of people here at any given time. Yelpers complaining about the wait. The pupusas and the food on their menus is delicious! I also love their smoothies and juices. But my favorite is the Jamaica! It's not as sweet as other places I've tried. I love getting their tacos dorados, the meat is super flavorful. The service is great! Everyone there is super nice and just amazing customer service. Definitely try this place out! Ordered ahead to take out six empanadas. I was quoted about 15 min, but it ended up closer to 39 instead. The clients inside were all Hispanic and the food (including papayas) looked appetizing. I would consider returning and trying some other menu items, but only if I was in the area. The empanadas were large but simple. Both the Jalapeños and cheese and the spinach and cheese had mostly cheese inside, very salty from the cheese. The spinach was a muted flavor while the jalapeno was strong enough to carry over the cheese. The beef and chicken were both fully protein, and since it was just meat they were both dry and needed an accompanying sauce. The beef flavor reminds me of Worcestershire sauce or Sloppy Joes. The chicken could have been carnitas flavor but slightly dry. They offered mild and medium salsas, both were red with the medium being a deeper red. Glad I remembered passing this place cause we doubled back and were NOT disappointed! We're Mexican and huge fans of pupusas. Usually I can eat about 3 or 4 depending on the size. We've never been here so we didn't know what to expect. We decided to start with 2 each. The pupusas came out fresh and piping hot. They were pretty thick and wide too. Two was definitely more than enough for each of us. I ordered 1 revuelta and 1 chicharrón. Neither one missed! But between the two the better one was the revuelta. My son ordered 1 bean and cheese and 1 pollo con queso. I tried the pollo con queso and hands down it was the BEST pupusa I've ever had! I've never heard of that combo at other places I've gone to. You don't even need to add the delicious curtido and spicy red salsa with it cause it has so much flavor on its own. But I love me some curtido and finished a jar on my own. Haha Don't worry they gave us each our own so my kiddo got plenty for himself. As for the service, it appeared like a small crew. The cashier was also our server. But the cook also came out to bring us our order. Which is probably why it was piping hot. It really was off the grill! Both of them were very sweet and polite. I'm surprised this place isn't busier. GREAT PUPUSAS!! Had a craving for pupusas so decided to try this place. We loved the pupusas. We had pork, bean and cheese, and rajas and cheese. They were all tasty, the rajas was my favorite. I love the pickled cabbage (curtido) and we ordered the spicy salsa. All together it makes a delicious bite. We went during a busy lunch time and waited a while for our order. The food is a solid 4, but the wait brings this place down a lot. You order at the counter, and there's a few tables inside but it's not really a sit and eat type of place. Mostly cause there's not a lot of place to sit. Ordering can be a bit tricky if you're not a spanish speaker though the guy taking our order was nice enough and did his best. The food was excellent. The salsa/cabbage was good. The Pupusa's were quite tasty. They tasted great. There's plenty of parking for this place. The biggest downside is the wait. We ordered at the counter and were told it'd be 45 minutes. We didn't really have anything else to do so we decided to wait. It ended up being closer to an hour. The food was quite good, but the wait is the biggest thing that would prevent me from coming back here. When to this place because we were craving Salvadorian food and the very first thing we didn't like was the customer service that was terrible, we felt as if the guy was serving us in worst way ever. I asked the guy to change my drink to a large even though I asked him for a large drink in the first place and he said he couldn't.We asked for no ice on one of the drinks from the beginning and he took off the ice but also took off the fruit on the drink which is a drink with fruit. When we got our food we got our food next thing we noticed was the cilantro was really messed up. The Caldo was pretty good but the meat was very old and the pupusas ok. I preordered some pupusas because I know they usually take about 20 mins to be ready and they were hot and ready when I got there. Pupusas were good nice and thick's with plenty of filling and not greasy. Sat there to eat place is not big but luckily I beat the rush and got a nice big table. Pupusas were flavorful got plenty of curtido and sauce. They have a hot spicy one and a traditional just tomato sauce both are great. Real home cooking. You can taste the quality ingredients, freshness, and care they put into the food. Cheap eats for sure, and definitely one where you're fed well. They also add this coleslaw side salad when dining in. Best empanada I ever had in my life was here. Quality of the meat was great. Tender, full of flavor, and cooked well. It was also my time trying pupuas. They're tasty but I'm more of the fried food person, so empanadas are more up my alley. The only tricky part in eating the pupusas is that the plastic knive wasn't really sharp enough to cut into them. But overall, very glad I came in to eat inside. I really enjoyed the Pupusas here. I got the Revuelta and the cheese really stood out. I like lots of curtido with my Pupusas and they don't really give that much by default. I also got the Chicken Tamale. I liked that too but I've definitely been to restaurants where there was more flavor. Their Plantains with Beans and Crema was spot on. It was the best part of the meal. Service was good. You may have a somewhat difficult time ordering if you don't quite speak Spanish, but the employee at the register was very polite. Parking was easy; there was plenty of space in the complex. The restaurant has a fair amount of seating. I went on a Sunday and there was only one other party there. It's a nice, clean establishment.
