Great friendly service, tender chicken, and well-seasoned fries! The servers make it a point to provide excellent service to people who dine in, and that is something I can appreciate. The hostess greets you at the door, and the servers bring out the food with a smile on their face. Sometimes, it might come across as too friendly, but what are you gonna do about that? The chicken is always tender and their sauces on it are really good. Their side dishes are also good. Any of them compliments the chicken well. The fries are some of the best seasoned fries around, and their rice on point. Only knock on Nando's is their flame grilled chicken breast. Not sure if I got a bad cut, but the amount i got was underwhelming. I felt for the same amount of money, I could've gotten more meat with a half chicken. But oh well. Great service and great food in a great new location - it doesn't get much better than that! The wife and I recently came here as part of their soft opening and we were treated to a nice meal for free. Thank you, Nando's! I ordered the grilled chicken breast with a side of their rice and mashed peas. We started with the hummus as an appetizer and also tired the garlic breadsticks, both of which were delicious and the perfect size for an appetizer - not too small, but not so big that we couldn't eat our yummy dinner. The chicken was delicious and I love that you can try multiple sauces and bring them to your table to create your own unique flavor combination. The mild hot sauce was pretty hot, but also was sweet and tangy which made for a nice after taste. You can tell this is a new location because the service is so great. All the staff seemed really excited to be there and were warm and welcoming. I look forward to coming back soon and trying some new things on the menu. read more

I don't really go to Nando's too often, but their food is pretty flavorful. I think it's a little overpriced for the portion they give you. Most times I get the chicken wrap and I swear there are only like 6 small cubes of chicken in there! I like the dressing and sauce they put on it and I normally add some garlic sauce from the table. Fries are great even without ketchup, but sometimes can be a little over seasoned. Their sangrias are really good too. There isn't anything really different about this location compared to others. This is my last time ordering from here. The food is expensive and the customer service is short-sighted. My order was incorrect a while ago and I called and spoke to someone that said my name was in a book to receive a correct large mash potato. Today I came in to order for the super bowl and asked to substitute brussels sprouts for the mashed potatoes. I was told I had already picked them up when I had not. The lady was pretty concrete in her summation, like I would steal Brussel sprouts!! Paid for my order and left. No more, your food is overpriced and undersized anyway. No more of my money. read more

Well, COVID has been around for about a year, and this Nando's location just didn't seem to get the memo on how to do curbside takeout. After ordering and paying online, I pulled up to the store, which had no reserved parking for takeout and didn't even have posted where to pull up while you're waiting for them to bring out the order. I didn't expect it to be like Sam's Club or Total Wine, with a nice app where you can just click when you arrive and enter the parking spot number, but I did expect some kind of thought put into making the experience smooth for the customer, especially after a year of this pandemic. I waited in the car for 5 minutes trying to get through on the phone number provided, and constantly got a busy signal. I finally walked in and saw two employees standing at the counter, and only three tables occupied in the whole restaurant. Why the phone was busy for that long, I have no idea. I asked if there was a different number for the curbside takeout, instead of having to call the main number and they said no. I worked in restaurants for almost a decade and it seems like a good solution would be for the general manager to add a phone line, which doesn't cost much, just for the curbside takeout, so that people aren't waiting or have to go inside. With so many other chicken places in the immediate area, I won't be back to this Nando's, and I hope for their sake they get with the program, because the food is decent, just not worth the headache to pick it up. read more

Pretty good place! Service was great and professional. Good arrived warm and in good timing. Cleanliness was excellent. This Nandos is different than I'm used to however... as, unlike internationally, there are no servers and the ordering procedure is annoying. Tried the 1/4 dark chicken, hot spice level, chicken livers, mashed peas and the butternut squash/corn mix. The Good: Chicken was juicy and had decent flavor, but not overly spiced. The mashed peas were nothing special, but not bad. The Bad: Was horribly grossed out due to a hair in the squash/corn mix and something that looked like either a fingernail or a piece of plastic in the livers. Mentioned this to the guy who took my order and he just shrugged it off. This completely turned me off from eating any more of my meal. I've eaten at other Nando's, and this was by far the worst experience I've had with this chain. It's a shame because I was looking forward to having a Nando's near my job to go to. The three area locations in Maryland that I have been to - Laurel, Bethesda, and Silver Spring. I was quite satisfied with the chicken in all locations. Their rice stands up to the grilled meat, but I am curious about their other sides. There is unique allegory behind the brand, and I believe in their mission of supporting South African artists by displaying their work in a rotating collection at their restaurants around the world. There is a reason that this franchise has received such acclaim and popularity among young people and families. Their food is not pretentious and everyone loves chicken. Mmm... So I'm pretty particular about my chicken. I can't handle super juicy chicken, but nandos does a good job of keeping their chicken pretty moist and flavorful with a bit of a charred crust. So I just love coleslaw and it's one of my favorite sides to fried or grilled chicken. I also ordered the fries, which was a mistake, there was nothing special about it. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't anything worth getting. My friend got the mashed potatoes and peas as her sides, which was a much better move with this dish. At nandos they have several different sauce choice to use with the chicken which are all so good. My favorite might be the garlic sauce. This is a great place to return to, and you don't leave feeling gross from grease. I left feeling very full, but not like I needed to unbutton my pants! read more

I would easily give Nando's five stars but the noise level is really bad. Why do companies go to so many hard surfaces? It amplifies the sound level and makes it uncomfortable for guests. The food is absolutely delicious. The chicken is moist and tender, the peas were very tasty, and the corn is moist and flavorful. There is a very large selection of drinks to choose from. Beer and chicken were made for each other and this chicken is no exception. The service and cleanliness was top notch, far better than would be expected at this level. My first time visiting this restaurant with my girlfriend. We were there on a Sunday around 1/2 pm. We walked in and a cute young lady greeted us and gave us instructions on how to order. When we arrived there was a few people in there as time went on the restaurant picked up. We sat in a bar like setting with high chairs, there is setting outside, but no umbrella. We ordered a flamed grilled chicken breast (mango lime sauce) , a chicken breast sandwich, olives, butternut squash/grilled corn (side dish) (our favorite!!!), macho peas (her favorite) and chicken wings, and pineapple lemon aid. Two stars only because I experienced ten seconds of sympathy for the manager. The problem here is the appalling service. When we entered the line out the door had no idea what to do, and the staffer working the door looked like a cat interupted from her nap. Apparently the operating principle is that you are seated with menus, then you get up and order from the counter. It falls apart when the staff don't greet customers, customers don't have menus or tables. When the person taking our order asked when the table number was, we stared at her dumbfounded. We randomly chose a free table, and then the party in front of us were irritated that we stole their table... So we wait at our pirated table for our food. Five minutes after the delivery of a needed sangria we realize that the olive appetizer was never provided during checkout. Go dig out the receipt and go find a human. Human never asks to see receipt and hands over green olive bowl. Having to remind staff to do their job is taking its toll on our dining experience, and the throbbing bad music is taking its toll on our party's mood. About ten minutes later food is unceremoniously dropped off. Oh, can we get silverware? "It's over there", is always the response in 'fast casual' places. I go over to the counter with the silverware, but there are no knives. None. Ask. "Oh, they're coming", says one person. Sit and wait. Of course, everyone in our party has ordered meat, on the bone, which is really appalling to eat without knives... If we wanted to go to MidEvil Times, we would have. We wait several minutes. No knives appear. Ask for the manager. It's Gerald, and he's working the line. I let him know it's been a disaster since we entered, but Gerald starts sweating profusely and complaining that half his staff called out. He asks for our table number so he can stop by. Several minutes later: knives appear! We see five other dinners literally jump out of their chairs to get a chance to eat their food in a civilized manner. We grab our necessary cutlery, and I'm disappointed that they are stone cold. The knives were not recently in the dishwasher, it's just that they can't manage the restaurant correctly. We eat our cold food. Its mostly flavored with heat, not spice, but at least the chicken is seared thoroughly. My overall impression is that the noise and the heat are overwhelming everything else. For 45 bucks for 3 people, it just seems skimpy. Gerald never stops by our table to complete the experience. I guess he just asked for our table number to get me to go away. I'll oblige. read more

My go to menu items: -Chicken breast sandwich, medium heat; just the right amount of food! Served with their delicious Peri-naise sauce, with mashed potatoes (their mashed potatoes are to die for!!) -Chicken Caesar Wrap; has a kick to it!! Ask for pineapples inside balances out some of the heat and makes it sweet:)! Get with their French fries! - Medium hot wings! Perfect if you're in the mods for them;) Dessert----- :) Natas- can't get enough!!!! Small little custard tart, warmed up sprinkled with confection sugar and cinnamon GET IT!!! So I decided to go with the chicken pita wrap mainly because I'm a fan of pitas. Pretty solid pita full of flavor. If you like hot then get the one above hot because that was just mild. Very delicious. Absolutely love their chicken and garlic bread. A group of friends and I went here last week and we ordered 2 shareable platters and a couple slides, everything was cooked to perfection. There was plenty to go around and we even had to take some home, only cause we were so full. The sangria's not bad but I'm not a drinker in general. I also had the pineapple lemonade. So so good. Prices aren't too bad, pretty decent for the delicious meals, and the place was decently clean. My friends and I still rave about how good the chicken is and how we can't wait to make plans to come back again. This place is really popular from what I've heard and while visiting family they really wanted to take me here and I was excited because they said how good it was so I was amped. I got the half chicken with the peri sauce and the cole slaw with fries. When I tell you I was so let down by all of this food, that's an understatement. I mean it wasn't terrible, I just expected so much more from how popular it is. I enjoyed my chicken and macho peas. It was spicy like I expected. My wife tried to order some stuff that wasn't spicy and hers was too spicy for her. She doesn't like spicy food though.
