Love nandos, especially this location is compared to the one in arundel mills. The seating just seems to be better to me and its more dimly lit. All the food is great here! I always leave full. The desserts are too expensive for me, over $3 for one cupcake is kind of insane--- and the cupcake is not super big or anything , so im always confused about that. But my fave thing that i always get--- 1/4 chicken breast with mango lime seasoning. Mash potatoes and garlic bread! And also, when u pay and you are a person who really likes to tip, just right it into your receipt or leave cash on the table. My friend ordered the peri peri wings. I was able to taste some and I think some of them were left on the grill a little too long. The mild flavor wasn't really coming through with the wings either. The fries and the peri peri mayo were really good. I'd definitely get that again. My dish was the half chicken with the hottest sauce(if you like really spicy food this won't move you at all). Nando's is located in the newish Towson Entertainment Center right next to the Towson Cinemark theater. It's best to park in the Towson Shopping Mall parking lot and walk across Joppa Road to get there, as this is free and won't require your parking ticket to be validated etc. I went with my husband for date night last night and this was my fourth time there. The ambience is lively and there seems to be a good mix of college students and middle age adults that comprise the patrons. It's a semi-casual dining experience in that you have to wait to be seated, but once seated, you have to go to the counter to place your order. After placing your order, the staff will deliver your food to your table for you. I always go with the 1/4 thigh chicken or Peri peri wings coated in medium heat sauce, and then get mashed potatoes and a kale Caesar salad for my sides. My husband got the half chicken breast, flame grilled corn on the cob, mashed potatoes, bottomless dole whip, and two drinks. The total came to about $40 including tip, which isn't bad for as much as we ordered. My favorite part about the chicken is the sauces that vary from mild flavoring (lemon garlic herb sauce) to extra spicy (xtra hot sauce). The place stays super busy and the staff is attentive and helpful! My only three complaints are; 1. The confusing bathrooms, there's a sign pointing to the restrooms with ladies one side and gentleman on the other, and in the middle there's a door with the word private written on it, I assumed that this was a private stall restroom, but when I opened it, it was a storage room. 2. I saw a mouse dash across the restaurant when I dined there three weeks, not a huge deal, just shocking at the moment. 3. Both my husband and I's drinking glasses were stained with food spots and our table was sticky. I'm not super picky and the food and customer service is good, which is why I still give them four stars, but there are some small areas that could use attention. Overall, it makes for an inexpensive date night that deviates from the standard American fare. Give it a try! Update 6/16/18: The people at Nando's made it right! Fun restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere! A lot of the stuff is self-serve (water, frozen yogurt, condiments), but food is delivered to your table. Just be sure to remember your table number when you go up to order! The food is delicious. I had "mild" chicken which had no hint of spiciness at all; next time, I will order "hot". I do recommend the cheesecake and the frozen yogurt. The frozen yogurt is a unique flavor, sort of a mix between vanilla and chocolate. Definitely a great place to hang out with friends! read more

Haven't been here in over a year. Was taking a friend who had never been there and I was looking forward to the unique Nando spicey flavor. Had the wings for an appetizer with medium spicy sauce and they were awesome. Followed that with the chicken thigh and macho peas. Again they were both great. My friend had the chicken sandwich with fries and he said they were both excellent. We washed it down with the sangria which the perfect balance of spicy/refreshing. The manager Will even stopped by to check on us to see if the food and service was ok. What a nice touch. I love Nandos! It's always a Saturday before movie or after fav. We had our entire family present with us this time (4ppl). We always order individually, however; my husband suggested we order the family platter...hmmmm-ok! The family platter comes with whole chicken, two sides. We chose rice and corn. The menu even says enough for 2-3 ppl. Wrong...I ended up having to order some more sides (salad, peas and fries). Now while we were there my husband asked about the sauce (for price comparison). The young lady who helped us was very informative about the price at he store versus supermarket. In fact, she even offered to give us a complimentary sauce that the store was giving us!!! She bought the one sauce bottle out and he was grateful. Then she said- I can give you a whole case if you want!!His eyes lit up like Christmas Day . Awesome!! I've been loving living near a Nando's. It's a quick, healthy, clean and very delicious fast casual option. Plus there are always so many people working and everyone is super friendly. It makes you feel like you're in a sit down restaurant even though you order at the counter and they bring the food to you. Someone even comes over to check how your food is tasting! I thought that was a nice touch for a fast casual chain. I always get the chicken breast sandwich. It's a juicy, all white meat chicken breast topped with arugula, tomato and pickled red onions served on a toasted Portuguese roll. Plus you get your choice of a side. Yum! Decided to give Nando's PERI-PEri a shot before our movie at the new Cinemark in Towson. When we immediately walked in we were welcomed with open arms by the host, who also explained how the restaurant worked since we had never been here before. If you like chicken, this is the spot. We started with a pitcher of their house sangria, which was big enough for 3 full glasses each. Very good flavor and loaded with fruit, even a cinnamon stick! My girlfriend and I decided to split an appetizer of 6 wings (Mango Lime Flavor), which you could taste both flavors and ended up being a great choice. They provide a nice array of spice levels, ranging from their "Plain-ish" to Extra Hot. I for one do enjoy spicy food, but their hot is VERY hot. After the wings we tried the whole chicken platter for two, which was awesome. It comes with your choice of two sides, and we decided to have their fries and garlic bread. Both amazing! This was the dish we tried hot, and I was sweating throughout the meal. They do offer their other hot sauces as an alternative on the table, which was nice so we could try most of them. We ordered a chicken wrap and a portobello wrap. Food was just OK. In my mind it has a similar concept to Panera Bread. It is a little pricier than Panera Bread, food not as good, and harder to park. Portions are a little small. I can see people liking this place, but it is not my style. Not sure why this is listed as African food. I really didn't get that vibe. Great casual fancy place near Towson University. I love the atmosphere of the shopping mall with next door movie theater and cute little outdoor water fountain. Food was good overall... The location is very nice, and they have the best fountain soda machine! Which I love, anything you could possibly want to drink at your finger tips! The chicken was tasty, I ordered plain 1/4 breast, mash, and corn. The corn was flame-grilled and had a very nice char, the mashed potatoes were red skin with garlic, and the chicken was nicely seasoned and grilled. All of which came together and was delicious! There are several sauces to choose from, garlic, lemon, mixed herb, medium, hot and very hot. Unfortunately I found them all to be hot!!!! So I passed on the sauces, just not my thing. It's not exactly your typical sit down restaurant as you have to walk up to a register to order/pay for your food. You also get your own cutlery, drinks, etc. They do bring your food and clean up your dirty dishes. I loved everything about this restaurant except for one very important thing... The food. :( We got a whole chicken and it was painfully dry. As a bariatric patient I couldn't eat it. My kids did enjoy the mashed potatoes, garlic bread, and unlimited frozen yogurt. I used to like Nando's but the service here is terrible that I stopped coming. If it's not the customer service, it's the missing items you ordered, or not knowing where your food is, or the food tasting disgusting. The last time I was there was the icing on the cake. My husband went to pick up food ordered online and they claimed there's no such order. Then, they advised my husband to pay again even with a copy of the online receipt, so that they can make the food. Meanwhile, I'm on the phone asking my husband about the meal that I just paid as it doesn't make sense that they're just going to ignore the fact that I ordered food and didn't received it. My husband told them my concern and the cashier stated that they can do a refund, while my husband pays for another meal so that they can start making the food. Again, this doesn't make any sense why I would need to pay again for food that I already paid for. So I told my husband to just request a refund back. I was home and had to drive there in order to get a refund because they needed the card that was used. As I arrived they found the food I ordered, which was placed in the to go counter, which was crazy to me that the workers there didn't know where it was. I told them that at this point they have inconvenience us and the food is no longer good that I wanted a refund. Shortly after, I contacted the store to speak with the manager, Wendy and let her know the situation was not handled correctly. In fact, they just inconvenience us further because of their mistake by not hurrying up to make the food we ordered and not asking us to pay additional fee for food we already paid for. In response, she stated that she wasn't around and cannot speak for what could've happened. Then, she tries to blame my husband by not knowing whether the food was ordered online or over the phone. This was crazy to me that she would say that as her response to every question I have for her is "I wasn't there when it happened so I can't speak on it." So how does she know that was the case? Of course, that was a lie and she couldn't just take accountability. Even over the phone, this place delivered poor customer service. Not very happy at all of how they have handled the issue and more importantly, how management handled the issue; they make excuses for their mistakes and then blame it on the customer. Thank the chicken Gods I found this place because I was starving. You get seated upon arrival and someone puts a number on your table. After picking what you want from the menu you up and order and let them know what table you're at. I tried the quarter breast & 2 sides; the rice and the coleslaw. I always opt for coleslaw at a chicken place because of the crunch factor and it gives a nice balance to a salty dish. The coleslaw is heavy on the mayo side but didn't have much favor. The rice was good too, but also not a lot of favor. My SO ordered the breast & fries and we tried the 12 wings with the garlic bread. The garlic bread is really yummy- lots of garlic flavor and it's soft in the inside. It looks like it's a roll cut in half but it's dense enough to share. I like the different sauces you can try and they are all a bit on the salty side. Also like that it's unlimited refills on drinks/tea (yay green tea) and frozen yogurt... My son has been begging me to take him to Nando's (as well as I had promised him I wouldn't try it before I took him). A few things to note, the service was exceptional. We were greeted immediately and shown to a table (pretty much of our choosing). The host explained how it works: 1. You walk up to the counter, place your order and pay. 2. They bring you the food your ordered. So, I like stuff spicy. Really spicy. I ordered a salad with hot chicken on it. Now, perhaps to folks with more sensitive tongues, it may have been hot, but I felt it was milder than Tabasco. They have a help-yourself selection of hot sauces and other bottles of goodness in the back. I grabbed all manner of the spicy liquids, including the XX. They were tasty, just not off-the-charts-guzzle-the-milk hot. So, if you are looking for a set the tongue on fire, you probably won't find it, but if you are looking for tasty, spicy food with good service, give it a shot.
