TLDR; Salted Turkey Drumstick :6/5 Even people who are normally not fan of turkey enjoyed it. Parking lot available, Cash Only. take out only. Will come again! I found this place from other SGV Facebook recommendations and love it ! I was a bit worried bc I couldn't read some of the menu but no worries bc the staff was really nice and able to explain. I got the turkey drumstick. It looked like the pictures others provided. My parents and I normally do not like turkey but wanted to try it anyways and they loved it. I can see myself coming here again.

Love the new location. It's clean bright and spacious. Salted duck, gizzard, turkey are all delicious. Highly recommend! Service is excellent too.

Very good taste and clean cut Duck. Also the small soup dumplings are very tasty! Do not know why it is under rated, maybe a little pricy. But I highly recommend if you want authentic salted duck.

Salted duck - 1 out of 2 boxes when you get a whole duck!

This place has the best Nanjing salted duck I've ever had in North America! Ever since I discovered it, I come here every time I visit LA to get a whole duck. I'm originally from Nanjing, and both my mom and I love this place. The duck isn't too salty so you can eat on its own as a cold snack, but has enough umami that you can also eat with rice. The price is very reasonable too - $25 for a whole duck. Apparently the owner gets the ducks from Indiana - that's why they have very, very low fat content with paper thin skin (unlike beijing ducks). We also got a red bean sticky rice wrap last time and it was also very tasty. Based on the reviews they're selling salted gizzards now too - and I'm definitely going to get some next time I'm in town. :) Don't get scared that a lot of the menus are in Chinese - go in and ask for a whole Nanjing Salt Duck, you won't regret it! Note that this place is cash only.

$25 for half a duck or $45 for the whole duck, which comes out to two boxes. Our legal firm team enjoyed the authentic dishes

I recently came back here again for a quick Sunday dinner and here are some of the key highlights:…read more * Parking was easy this time as I was able to find an available spot in the parking lot immediately. * I was able to check in 5 minutes ahead of time via Yelp and only waited 5 more minutes in person before receiving a text that our table was ready on Sunday at 7:30 PM. * One of the most efficient services for Chinese restaurants in the SGV (San Gabriel Valley) area as the staff wasted no time serving food, refilling water, and responding to a check request. * Ordered slightly different dishes this time and C1 Xiao Long Bao (juicy pork dumplings 8 pieces -$13.00) and C5 Beef Roll (6 pieces - $16.00) were A-tier dishes. Xiao Long Bao's flavor profile tasted more like steamed dumplings. Beef roll didn't taste as good as I remembered (probably because it had slightly less hoisin sauce), but it was still a good beef roll nonetheless. * Personally G4 Black Pepper Beef Fried Udon ($15.99) was a surprising discovery and an S-tier dish. Basically think of it as beef chow fun, but replace flat noodles with udon and add egg and bell pepper - excellent flavor profile. C3 Pan Fried Pork Bao (6 pieces - $13.00) were comparable to the ones from Kang Kang Food Court. 4.5 stars for the food with 4 items enough to feed 3 to 4 adults. I would say their noodle dishes like Beef Noodle Soup / Black Pepper Beef Fried Udon / Fujian Style Fried Vermicelli are slightly better than their dumpling dishes. Bump it up to 5-star for the excellent service. P.S. - There's another new location in Diamond Bar.

When we arrived, a lady told us it would be another 15 minutes. Strange, considering the order had been placed an hour earlier and was already marked ready. We went outside to wait, and literally one minute later, the waitress came out with our food. I asked her politely if it had actually been ready before, and instead of simply explaining that there had been a mistake or misunderstanding with the order, she made a rude face and snapped "yes." I completely understand that mistakes happen. What bothered me was the attitude when I asked a simple question. I've worked as a server before, and basic manners and customer service really aren't that difficult. Honestly, the interaction left a really bad impression, and as someone who isn't Asian, I also couldn't help but wonder if there was some bias involved because of the way I was treated. I can't say that for certain, but that's genuinely how the interaction made me feel. Unfortunately, I won't be coming back.

We usually come here for lunch either before our massage or after our massage, so it has become one of our regular places. That day, we stopped by for lunch before our massage. I ordered my favorite dish here, the Shrimp with Cashews, and my friend ordered the Seafood Noodle. I've been coming to this restaurant many times, but surprisingly, this was the first time I had ever seen the Seafood Noodle on the menu. I was curious about what it was like because my friend told me it is one of her favorite dishes. So, that day, I finally got to see it for myself. It came with two pieces of fresh ramen noodles, vegetables that looked like bok choy, and seafood underneath, including what looked like squid. I tried a bite, but honestly, it wasn't really my taste. So, I mostly enjoyed my favorite Shrimp with Cashews with lots of rice. I ate quite a bit, but there were still plenty of shrimp left, so I told my friend to finish them. My friend ended up eating quite a lot of the shrimp, too. Another thing I really like about coming here for lunch is that they offer unlimited rice, which is always a nice bonus. After we finished our meal, they brought out complimentary oranges. The oranges are always so fresh and delicious, and I really enjoy having them at the end of the meal. The servers are also always friendly and attentive, and they are quick to bring anything we need, which was really good. Since we went around lunchtime that day, we also got to see the servers sitting together around a large round table, having their own meal. It was actually nice to see them all eating together during their break. Overall, Boston Lobster is always a reliable go-to spot for us, especially when we're in the area for a massage. The food is satisfying, the service is friendly, and the unlimited rice and fresh complimentary oranges are always a nice touch. Since my friend drove that day, I paid for both the lunch at this restaurant and the dessert we had at another place afterward.

They have a very large seating area which accommodate large parties, which is good. The food here is delicious. Everything was incredibly reasonable with the exception of the fish. We got the steamed sole$90 and the lobster which is about $250 and that's expected. I am missing about four dishes that I didn't get to take a photo because in between the service was a little slow. Some of our food came out slightly more than room temperature which tells me that they probably have a lot of this pumping out. Nonetheless, the food was good. Our family enjoyed it with about nine dishes. We paid 650 with tax and tip.

Lots of regulars in the restaurant it seemed. On this night , there were short staffed and I had to remind my server about my order a few times. The manager came out to apologize. She was a very good manager and handled things well. She offered me a discount, but I refused. Instead, she gave me a refreshing watermelon drink on the house. The 4 of us especially liked the white fish with basil and the shrimp with snow peas. The rice noodles with seafood and the kung pao were also good. That said, we like our food spicier, so we asked for chili oil and limes. Some dishes did have vegetables, but when I go again I'll order a vegetable dish. Service was stellar - personal, but never intrusive. I liked that we were seated immediately and still given time for our late guests to arrive. Food arrived quickly once we ordered. They were gracious about splitting the tab afterwards, but could easily have asked whether we wanted separate checks since we were 3 unrelated sets of adults that arrived separately. So, what could have been better? The chafing spoons were too small and too few, leaving us to pull the chafing plate to the edge of the lazy Susan and scrape. My dinner plate was too small, so I made a bit of a mess while eating. The main room is noisy, even with some empty tables, Next time I'll ask for a table in the quiet section (to the right when coming in the main door.) However, on Monday at 5 PM, we found ample parking. All that said, Newport Seafood seemed at its best when serving special meals to large families all around us. I will think of them next time we celebrate a special family occasion.
