    Clean environment

This has been my go to restaurant for years. They redecorated the restaurant now. The environment is super clean and lovely. It is great for family gatherings. 11 out of 10! Everything we ordered taste so good. Service is also great.

One of the best beijing duck experiences in the SGV. My brother in law ordered everything beforehand so we didn't even need to look at a menu. Just sit and eat. We had shrimp, soup made from duck bones, the Beijing duck, of course, and a host of other dishes. They're all delicious. The tea was a blend of various herbs and dried fruits. So delicious! Sweet but not too sweet. We want to book another lunch here for next month but they only take reservations two weeks in advance. Need to be there at 12:30 to get duck. A big bowl of soup was also popular at other tables. Not sure what kind of soup but it was the largest soup bowl I've ever seen.

We had this place bookmarked, and I'm so glad we happened to be driving by and decided to try it out. We came on a Friday night and it wasn't busy at all. We sat at a table in the corner, and you order through their tablet. Most items are on the pricier side, but we noticed they had a few combos, which to my surprise were an extremely good deal. We opted for Combo B for 2 (by the way, this has enough food to serve 3-4 people). For $40, you get four full dishes and a drink, an absolute steal! Here are my thoughts: North Style Veggie Salad - Wow. It reminded me of something like a Thai papaya salad. So refreshing and good. (4.5/5) Sizzling BBQ Beef - This was amazing. It came on a sizzling pan, and the beef was perfectly seasoned and cooked. A winner. (5/5) Young Chow Fried Rice - A pretty basic fried rice, but still good. A nice alternative to white rice. (4/5) Sweet and Sour Fish Fillet - Delicious dish. Huge pieces of fish, perfectly fried. The best! (5/5) Pineapple Plum Sparkling Water - Tasty and a bit sweet. I added more water to reduce the sweetness, but it was still good. (4.5/5) Glad I got to try this place because the food is genuinely good. We shared the combo among three people and all left very full. Totally recommend! Parking - Easy, they have plenty in their lot.

Craving authentic, homestyle Northern Chinese Cuisine in the SGV? Beijing Tasty House is a 12-year-old LA restaurant in San Gabriel that specializes in Beijing cuisine and offers value Beijing food in the US. They are upholding the traditional Chinese culinary spirit with fresh made delicious dishes. It's no surprise that they are a long-established local brand!! Sizzling Stir-Fried Grilled Beef -- A must-try! The tender beef is sautéed then stir-fried with cilantro and scallions until fragrant. They light it up so the pot gets sizzling hot. Note: it is a bit spicy. Duck Bone Soup with Napa & Tofu: The steaming hot broth is rich, fragrant, meaty and velvety. The tofu is soft and delicate. The aroma of this soup is enough to captivate your senses. The soup is warming and soothing! The Beijing Roast Duck Combo: The crispy skin and tender roasted duck came with the classic setup -- soft thin wraps, and all the sides -- really tasty and authentic. You can't stop at just one! It's a customer favorite and sells out!! The presentation is stunning!! Needs to be preordered. The House Pork Belly Stew is cooked with quail eggs. The Beijing style is savory, melts in your mouth tender. The pork was nice and fatty but not greasy-- perfect with steamed rice, which can help cut the fat. The sauce was so flavorful!! One of our favorites!! The Fried Scallops w.Salted Egg Yolk are crispy, rich, salty and full of umami flavor. The Iced Matcha with Coconut Milk tastes so refreshing, creamy, earthy and smooth. The Chrysanthemum Tea pot looks so pretty and floral. It tastes so delicate and soothing. The Hot Kumquat Lemon Tea tastes citrusy, tangy and refreshing. For a Tuesday night, the restaurant was packed! A definite family-style atmosphere with big groups with kids came in. They have a couple of bigger rooms with a big round table and lazy susan. Perfect for larger groups and Thanksgiving gatherings! Hebe and Shure had wonderful customer service and were so helpful.

This place just got a glow-up and it's gorgeous The new modern Chinese-style interior feels cozy yet super elegant. Every dish we tried was a hit -- the braised pork with abalone was rich and comforting, the sweet potato dessert was crispy outside and soft inside, and the boiled fish was full of bold flavor. Even the drinks and mango dessert surprised us in the best way Big portions, great vibes, and perfect for a fun dinner with friends or family. Definitely coming back!

I really loved my time eating here. Upon arrival, at 7pm, I already noticed how busy this place was for dinner. I loved seeing the groups of 5-8 all gathered around enjoying themselves and the food. We got the Roasted Duck Combo, a Spicy Lamb Hot Pot, and a Duck Bone Soup. The roasted duck was giving Michelin dish with their beautiful plating. Under the crispy duck skin (which was separated completely from the usual attached fat) was the lean duck meat sliced so thin. There's wonton wrappers, cucumbers, thick hoisin sauce, and thinly sliced scallion whites for you to build what I would compare to a duck taco lol! The duck bone soup was also so rich and collagen filled. The broth reminds me of sulluhtang bone broth where it's just been low and slow cooked for hours and hours. It came with meaty and boney duck bones along with Napa cabbage and tofu. The lamb hotpot was really good (and I'm not even usually a fan of lamb!) because the meat was super tender and the spiciness of the broth made everything you dipped into it addicting. I ordered the enoki mushroom and tofu curd slices and I had so much of the food to take home after. Really great, unique, and authentic experience of Beijing flavors.

Review is for braised pork belly. Good portion (over a lb between the meat and misc), but on the salty side. Quail eggs were a nice bonus. Wish there was more sauce to put on the rice.

I was seriously impressed with Beijing Tasty House in San Gabriel! I got a combo meal for two for $39.99, but it could easily feed three to four people. The set includes two pineapple plum sparkling waters, a garlic sweet and sour veggie salad, sweet and sour fish fillet, sizzling BBQ beef, and fried rice -- which had spam in it and made it extra delicious. We also ordered a couple of extra dishes on the side (for research purposes, of course), and the pork was nice and fatty -- perfect if you like that melt-in-your-mouth texture. The service was friendly and fast, and all the food came out hot and fresh. The ambiance was clean and bright. Overall, this place offers the best value Beijing food I've had in the area. Generous portions, great flavor, and definitely worth checking out if you're nearby!

Not sure how I only just discovered this tasty spot last Saturday, but def worth a mention. Spacious & clean, I didn't think this place was around for 12 years because it's well kept. The service was so attentive, quick, and chill that I came back again Thursday night to try more dishes that. They have really good combos deals here's The Kung pao chicken, mapo tofu and salad (so yum) along with 2 drinks was only $30! I really liked their scallops the first time I went so I tried out the shrimp too. Not only is the presentation of it gorgeous, the flavor was ! I learned that you really need to reserve the duck ahead of time because it's so high in demand and sells out all the time. I'll be back for sure because FOMO lol

this place is definitely worth trying! This 10-year Beijing-style restaurant in LA's Chinese community was recently renovated, and the vibe is now super elegant and cozy -- perfect for student gatherings, celebrations, and catching up with friends. The Peking duck was definitely the highlight Authentic flavor, crispy skin, and they even make duck soup with the bones after. So comforting! We also tried: * 3.5 lb King Fish Head with pancake soak -- huge portion, rich flavorful broth * Braised pork with abalone -- soft, savory, and super satisfying * Crispy shrimp, sea cucumber with scallion sauce, salted egg yolk scallops, lemongrass seafood chicken... every dish looked amazing and tasted authentic. Their new tea drinks are so cute too The Coconut Pineapple Dream and White Peach Love were both refreshing, photogenic, and surprisingly good. Even the tea set got upgraded! The environment is beautiful, dishes are presentation-worthy, and portions are super generous. Honestly such a good spot for graduation dinners, birthdays, or family-style gatherings. We got the $398 banquet set with 12 dishes + drinks, which was actually really worth it for the amount and quality.

We ordered a variety of dishes and they were all delicious. Everything came out fast and was extremely fresh and flavorful. The Peking Duck was so good and reminded me of the ones I've had in China. The service was top notch and everything was great. The restaurant was recently renovated and was very clean and comfortable. 10/10 will be back.

"The cumin chicken cartilage was incredibly flavorful and crispy, the stir-fried pork was rich and delicious, and the bullfrog was fresh, tender, and perfectly seasoned. Every dish had amazing wok flavor and went perfectly with rice. Definitely one of the best meals I've had recently -- highly recommend!"

We ended up getting a set for $168 this time, which came with 6 dishes. It's also $35 per lb for lobster, and I asked for the smallest one. Apparently, the smallest one was 4.8 lbs, which was another $168, so I'm not sure if they upsold me. Anyways, the food was fantastic and everyone enjoyed it. This is what I thought about the food we got. House Seafood Soup - Simple and clean soup. Good portion, and it was soothing to eat. Lots of squid. (4/5) Clams with Spicy Sauce - Large clams with tons of meat, and the sauce was fire. Always a good choice. (5/5) Crab with Salt & Pepper - Loved the seasoning, and the flavors were solid. (4.5/5) Thai Style Beef Stew - First time trying this, and it was good. A bit different, but the meat chunks were tasty and the overall flavors were good. (4/5) Sautéed Pea Sprouts - Nicely done vegetable dish. It's simple but refreshing with good flavors. (4/5) Fried Whole Fish - This dish was gone so fast because it was delicious. Nicely fried and not overly seasoned. (5/5) Signature Lobster - I feel like you have to get this here since it's their specialty. It's pricey, but in my opinion, it's the best and freshest lobster in town. Tons of green onions, seasoned well, fresh meat, and lots of lobster roe. (5/5) Service was good, and they didn't automatically add a mandatory tip for a large party. The total came out to around $364, which is pricey, but the food was phenomenal. Parking - Valet only, but they have street parking in front. I parked on the street since there were plenty of spots on a Wednesday, but I assume it gets busy on weekends.

Thankfully, the taste lived up to the appearance. The meat was incredibly tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. It came right off the bone without falling apart completely, which gave it a really satisfying texture. What I liked most was that the beef itself was the star of the dish. It had a rich, smoky flavor and didn't rely on heavy seasoning or sauce to stand out. The lime wedges on the side were a surprisingly good addition and helped balance the richness of the meat. This was one of those dishes that made everyone at the table stop talking for a moment and just enjoy the food. There is however a long wait, me and my friend ended up waiting an hour one time, and 1.5 hour another time. Parking can be a bit limited during peak meal hours since the plaza has a lot of other popular eateries, so it might take a little patience to find a spot if you come during rush time. The Peking duck lived up to the hype. I liked that they use pancakes instead of the buns, and building each bite with hoisin, green onion, cucumber, duck meat, and crispy skin gave a great mix of textures and flavors. The other dishes were solid too. The pea sprouts were fresh and loaded with garlicky flavor without being overpowering. The shrimp fried rice was probably one of the best value dishes we ordered at around $13 -- lots of shrimp mixed throughout and a great filler for the table. The honey walnut shrimp was unique because it came with melon, which added a refreshing touch. The shrimp itself was super crispy and I appreciated that it wasn't drowning in sauce or overly sweet. The French style beef was another standout -- packed with fresh peppers and the meat was incredibly tender. Overall, you really can't go wrong ordering here. The sweet and sour pork was unfortunately a disaster. The pork was sliced paper-thin--so thin that it felt like I was mostly eating batter with barely any meat. I was also disappointed they took the sweet and sour fish off the menu because that dish was amazing a few months ago. The five-color noodles were light, clean, and refreshing. The pork elbow was delicious with a fun, tender texture. The fish maw soup was very good and comforting, though it could have used a little more seasoning. Other than that, it was delicious. The steamed sea bass with soy sauce was incredibly soft and fragrant--a definite must-order. The scallops with vermicelli noodles were another hit: fresh, clean flavors and perfectly cooked scallops. My only suggestion would be to cut the noodles, as they came in one big clump and were difficult to serve. We ordered the beef fried rice but were given lamb instead. It was a bit gamier than expected, but still tasty. The black fungus with tofu was also excellent--well seasoned and full of flavor. Overall, there were a few misses, but the Peking duck, sea bass, scallops, pork elbow, and black fungus with tofu made the meal worth coming back for.

My family and I used to religiously eat lobster noodles whenever we made a trip down to SoCal. The pick of the bunch was 100% Newport Seafood- no negotiations, no contemplations. Unfortunately, the last handful of times have left me extremely disappointed and heavily annoyed. The cost and wait times do not reflect what is actually being provided and most of our food ends up being left behind because it simply isn't worth the calories. In all honestly, I've grown a phobia w/ that specific restaurant at this point because of the countless letdowns. My initial taste of Boston Lobster was about 3 years ago and I had the most enjoyable meal. Due to our LA trip coming to an end, my BD thought we should do it big with some lobster noodles- for good old time's sake. I absolutely refused to go anywhere unless we would be giving Boston Lobster a visit! Sure enough, they did not disappoint! Dinner for 3 adults and 1 toddler consisted of: *Boston House Special Lobster [no spice] + Garlic Noodles for an additional fee. Medium Size 5-6lbs minimally. *French Style Beef Cube *Sauteed Snow Pea Leaves We ate like mf'n KINGS!! Each and every dish was spectacular- even the greens! While we should have gone with the small sized lobster, I'm proud to say we went down with an honorable fight. Lmao!! The lobster was cooked to perfection- meat was sweet, succulent, and so darn tender. The garlic noodles soaked up all of the delicious lobster flavors and were not overcooked and mush. The bo luc lac was flavorful, juicy, and complimented the bed of lettuce, onions, & tomatoes so well. The snow pea leaves weren't tough and old- this truly was a simply yet magical dish. Service was on point and the staff continually came by to swap out our plates full of lobster shells. Above all, there was no wait with our initial arrival. Parking is easy given the fact that BL has a pretty big parking lot specifically for them. 5/5 stars!! We dropped over 3 bills here and it didn't even hurt. Lmao- this place is that damn good! Don't sleep on this joint, y'all. Boston Lobster is the real deal when it comes to authentic Chinese/Vietnamese cuisine. This spot should be so much more hyped than it actually is!
