We ordered French style beef, house special fried chow mein, honey walnut shrimp and steamed rice. First of all, the serving portions were very generous. All came in very large plates. The beef was saucy, tender and flavorful. In other restaurants, they add mushrooms to fill the plate. Here, the plate is full of just large chunks of beef. The shrimp in the honey walnut dish were large prawns. They were moist, succulent and tender. It had a rich flavor because of the mayo. The chow mein was full of chicken, shrimp, squid and octopus. It was perfectly crispy and saucy at the same time. We ate to our heart's content and ended up taking home plenty of leftovers enough for another meal. Our total bill was a little over $108 with tip. We will definitely be back. Parking is valet only and cost is $5.

Everything was good and nothing missed the mark, except the lobster had a ridiculous amount of green onions and they skimped on the noodles. I felt that the noodles were also overcooked and lack flavor of their own. For a Chinese restaurant, there was pretty quick service. Waiters frequent the table to collect dirty dishes and refill waters

I highly recommend this dish if it's your first time here! -- Shanghainese Sauteed Eel in Special Sauce [5/5]: The sauce is sweet and this dish is definitely on the garlicky side. -- King Crab [5/5]: We got the king crab prepared in 3 different types: typhoon shelter style, steamed with garlic and vermicelli, and steamed egg. My favorite was the typhoon shelter style, it had a nice little spice flavor to it. -- Braised Pork with Chestnut Japanese Yam [4/5]: I enjoyed the japanese yam, but I probably wouldn't order this dish again. -- Spicy Vermicelli Hotpot [4/5]: It had a nice spice kick to it, but it was a bit oily. -- Array 36 Signature Roast Duck [5/5]: I would have preferred more of the condiments on the side. It was my first time eating roasted duck with brown sugar, which was pretty unique. -- Fine Slice Jellyfish with Japanese Yuzu Sauce [3/5]: I had high expectations for this, but I probably wouldn't order this again. It was lacking flavor and was nothing special. -- Shanghai-Style Smoked Fish with Preserved Plums [5/5]: The flavor of this dish was similar to their signature crispy prawns. -- Snow Pea Leaves [5/5]: I love snow pea leaves and this was cooked perfectly. -- Sea Coconut Chrysanthemum and Snow Pear [5/5]: I loved this dessert, it was not too sweet. Couldn't find the spot at first in the plaza but it is located near a McDonald's. Looked big from outside but was a decent size inside with a good amount of tables and seating space. Service was really fast, got seated quick and they were fast to take our orders which was crazy at first but they were on it with service so I appreciated that. Even the food came out pretty fast. Saw that the Beef Noodle Soup was good so I had to try it, the beef broth was delicious and I love bok choy so they had me at bok choy! Beef was nicely cooked too, I liked it! Dan Dan noodles were okay and it felt like it was spicy peanut butter but still good, just not my favorite. But the pork dumplings (xiao long bao) was YUMMY. It really hit the spot when we grabbed one each and the warmth and taste was delicious. Definitely my favorite! Pork and crab dumplings were good too! I was just too full at that point to have more of it all. I'd say this place satisfied my hunger and I left there super full so I'll comeback again :)

Good Alley does the Kaifeng-style guantang bao (soup dumpling) with a thicker wrapper that somehow holds an almost obscene amount of rich, collagen-packed broth inside. One bite and the broth just floods your mouth. Get these first, get them hot, and don't share. The Chinese cumin lamb burger (roujiamo) is another must. The bread is a flaky, thousand-layer pancake -- so much better than the typical baked bun -- and the beef filling is well-seasoned and satisfying. It's the kind of dish that sounds simple until you actually eat it and realize how much craft goes into it. Dry-pot cauliflower, scallion oil dry noodle , and korubuta pork & shrimp wontons are also delicious. The berry sticky mochi drink was so refreshing! Service is friendly, the space is clean and modern, and the iPad ordering system actually works smoothly. Fair warning: expect a wait on weekends -- word is getting out. This time, we ordered the Shrimp with Cashew Nuts and the Beef with Chinese Broccoli. The Shrimp with Cashew Nuts was absolutely delicious, but unfortunately, the Beef with Chinese Broccoli was extremely salty. After just one bite, I honestly couldn't eat any more of it. I have always liked this restaurant and have been coming here frequently over the years. I've enjoyed their lobster several times with my family, and almost every dish I've tried here has been delicious. That's why I was especially disappointed with the Beef with Chinese Broccoli this time, as it was far too salty. Despite that, I still think this is a great place for lunch. Their lunch specials are reasonably priced, the service is always good, and the portions of rice are very generous. One thing I especially appreciate is the complimentary orange slices they serve to every customer after the meal. The oranges are always fresh and sweet, making a nice ending to lunch. One other thing I noticed during this visit was that the restroom now has a new premium hand soap. I don't remember seeing it before, and it was a nice little upgrade that added a touch of luxury hand soap to the overall experience. Overall, I still enjoy coming here and will definitely be back. Hopefully, the kitchen can be a little more careful with the seasoning next time .
