Twice I was sold faulty parts, then the third time I tried to order online and pickup at the store. About ten minutes later I was notified my order had been cancelled due to suspected fraud!!! I called customer service only to be told I could try putting in the order again with another payment method. My payment was fine as it went through and I was showing my ID upon arrival anyway. The guy Mark there needs to learn some customer service skills too.

This NAPA is located near the Big Chicken (same side of the road) in Marietta. There are a lot of other auto parts stores nearby like Advance Auto Parts, AutoZone, and O'Reilly. I stopped by this NAPA during my lunch break to pick up some replacement tail/brake light bulbs for my car. I purchased my last set from O'Reilly. O'Reilly and AutoZone carry Sylvania brand bulbs. NAPA carries Wagner brand. The bulbs burn and look the same. My car uses a mix of bulb brands and you can't tell a difference. The bulbs (2) cost $6.35 after tax (Wagner BP17881, equivalent to Sylvania 7225). I first tried to buy the Sylvanias at Advance, but they were out of stock. This NAPA store was open, airy, bright, clean, and neatly organized. I like the look of the NAPA stores better than Advance, AutoZone, and O'Reilly. It wasn't busy. There were several (4-5) employees and, at one point, I was the only customer. Customer service was good. The employee (#14) who checked me out signed me up for NAPA Rewards (www.naparewards.com) where you get $5 for every $100 you spend. You automatically get $5 off your next purchase after setting up your account. Your NAPA Rewards account is tied to your phone number. Also, AAA members get 10% off all purchases at NAPA.

Once I called back again to which the lady who answered the phone again. Which I found out her name is Sabrina. i was told my estimate for my part and that she could go get it an hold it now, I asked if I could call back once I got more estimates and if I decided to go with them. She said yes I called back after about 10mins of looking to let her know I indeed needed the part and that she could get it an hold it. She answered the phone again rudely saying "I told u we had it before an I could've gotten it then." To which I told her I wanted to call around first that is why I'm letting her know now I didn't find anything cheaper. To which she continues to say remarks like I was back there before u need to wait til I finish up with my customers so hold. I asked her why would she answer come back just to put me on hold again if she could just hold it. She said I gotta relook it back up and she is going to pray for me an said I need Jesus because I seemed tense. I absolutely do not understand the uncalled for remark, I found out her name through another co worker who came back to the phone after 20mins of holding. Sabrina took the phone and said she would hold it. I told her thank you an I confirmed Is your name Sabrina. She said I me e told u my name but yeah it is. So I wouldn't strongly advice someone else to answer calls for a parts shop that's doesn't have an attitude a tell people they need Jesus. I will be informing corporate of this matter as well

Perhaps I should ask, what auto parts store…read morehas employees that don't know what a window ice scraper is or where they would be kept? This place, that's where. The two gentlemen working were pleasant enough, and one did try to be helpful. The store is protected by bullet proof glass on the inside. To get out, you must walk around the entire perimeter of the store to get to the exit. Most items that you would want are either behind the counter or on a locked display. It's just not a pleasant consumer experience, and the lacking customer service skills from the associates does nothing to compensate for that.

It was the wrong part so I took it back to that store and they said no it was an online order. I would not have ordered it online if I would have known that. So I went through the process of returning it through ups and that was 12 days ago 13 days ago and I still have not gotten my refund even though they gave me a refund approval number. I've called customer service three times and cannot get an answer as to what is going on with my refund. They keep telling me that their warehouse isn't getting back to them well that doesn't work as an excuse for me because they're internal communication problems are not my problems. So it's been over 10 days they owe me a refund and I can't even find out if it's been processed what they're doing with it but they did receive and I have receipts for the receipt of the part I shipped back. And they don't seem like they're in much of an urgency but to me a couple hundred dollars is a lot of money and I need that to do other things with my car. And this is holding me up and I can't even get an answer their customer service is absolutely horrid they don't care about you and they don't get back to you when they say they're going to get back to you not once have they gotten back to me when they say they're going to get back to me I have to keep calling them. I filed the complaint I was supposed to get confirmation of that nope nothing. They had absolutely no problem taking my money like immediately.

By far the WORST customer service experience I've ever had with any auto repair shop…read more Let me start by saying that I'm an extremely understanding person. I dropped my car off late Saturday evening, and the employee told me they probably wouldn't be able to look at it until Monday because it was a holiday weekend. No problem. I completely understood that and was willing to be patient. Monday came and went. Not a single phone call. Tuesday, I called to check on the status of my car. I was told someone would call me back. Guess what? Nobody called me back. Wednesday, I finally got ahold of someone, and they told me they needed approval for a diagnostic test. Fine. I approved it immediately. But my first thought was: when exactly were you planning on contacting me to get that approval if I hadn't called YOU? Thursday, I called again looking for an update. Instead of giving me one, they started talking about the exact same diagnostic I had already approved the day before. I had to explain to them that I had already given authorization and was simply trying to find out what was going on with my vehicle. Later that day, I stopped by in person because it was becoming obvious that nobody was communicating with anybody. That's when I was told another diagnostic needed to be done and that someone had to text the technician to see when they could come out. Text them? You're holding my vehicle hostage for days, and we're waiting on text messages? Then today, Friday, May 29, 2026, I called AGAIN and was told that the technician couldn't come until Monday. Are you kidding me? So my question is: WHEN WERE YOU GOING TO TELL ME THAT? Why did I have to call yet again to find out that my car was apparently going to sit there for another three days? At that point, I was done. I told them I was coming to get my car because it was painfully obvious that nobody there had any sense of urgency, accountability, or respect for a customer's time. When I arrived, the employee handed me my keys. I asked how much I owed. His response? Nothing. Why? Because after having my car for almost an entire week, THEY HADN'T DONE ANYTHING. Let that sink in. They had my vehicle from Saturday until Friday and accomplished absolutely NOTHING. No repairs. No completed diagnostics. No meaningful updates. No communication. Nothing. The only reason I knew anything at all about what was happening was because I kept calling them. Every single update came from me chasing them down. And half the time, the "update" was just the same information repeated over and over again. What makes this so frustrating is that I wasted an entire week. My car could have been at another shop where people actually care about customer service and understand that customers rely on their vehicles. Instead, it sat at Pep Boys collecting dust while nobody seemed interested in moving the process forward. I've never been so irritated by the lack of communication and complete disregard for a customer's time. This wasn't just bad service--it was nonexistent service. Pep Boys wasted my time, failed to communicate, failed to follow up, failed to manage expectations, and failed to accomplish a single thing with my vehicle. I wouldn't take a bicycle to this location, let alone a car. Avoid this place if you value your time. I really didn't want to give them a star because giving them a star means they actually put in some work when in reality they didn't.

Several months ago, I purchased a set of tires from them and had them installed on my vehicle. The service was excellent, and I left completely satisfied. So naturally, when it came time to get new tires for my wife's car, I called Pep Boys again to get a price. Their quote was competitive with other local shops, but I ended up ordering the tires online to save some money. Unfortunately, the tires are still in transit, and my wife needed a reliable car to get to a baby shower in Florida. I told her to take my car instead, but it needed an oil change and a tire rotation before the trip. While I waited on her tires to arrive and continued driving around on a spare, I gave Pep Boys a call. A very kind and professional staff member named Tammy answered. She told me to bring the car in, and they would try to work it in. When I got there, I could see the technician was still working on another vehicle. My wife met me at the shop around 5:30 p.m. after she got off work. At that point, I was concerned because it was getting late, and I honestly didn't think they'd be able to get to my car before closing. Tammy explained the situation, and I could tell both she and the tech understood how important it was for us to have the car ready. That's when the tech said, "Sir, I'll take care of your car if Tammy is willing to stay late." Without hesitation, Tammy responded, "I will." That meant a lot. Even with closing time approaching, they went above and beyond to make sure our car was done that same evening. Their willingness to stay late and help us out in a time of need showed incredible commitment and care. I told Tammy right then and there: Pep Boys has a lifetime customer in me. I'm so appreciative of how she and the technician went the extra mile to make sure we were taken care of. Thank you both. you truly made a difference! By the way, I can't remember the technician name, but he is young and has curly hair.
