I had the same experience with a different remote at a nearby AutoZone and the associate not only knew how to replace it, he replaced it for me. Score one for the AutoZone associate. Anyway, I walked out of the NAPA, did a quick YouTube check, figured out what to do, walked back in to purchase the correct battery and replaced it myself. Go me. I will credit the NAPA guy for not taking a chance at prying it open and breaking my remote. So there's that point -- better safe than sorry! There's currently a AAA 20% discount through 11/30/19 which isn't much for a key fob battery but it's a nice discount on those big ticket items that no one loves to dish $$ out for. This deal is promoted as double discount so after Nov 2019, I'm assuming the regular AAA discount is 10%. You're welcome!

Satisfied that everything was on track, I hung up the phone and simply expected to show up the next morning for the part. much to my surprise, Justin called me right back and indicated that he had found the same part (on a competitors website) a cheaper price. He called to tell me that he would match that price. had he not called me back, I wouldn't have known about the cheaper price. I first started shopping at NAPA in February of this year. I had multiple good visits and purchased wonderful products that I could not find other places. There is a very good selection of products at a very convenient location. However, I briefly visited twice in one day, and I was about to purchase an Auto Spa car cleaning product when I was asked to leave the store! The employee told me twice, "Excuse me, you can't come here again," and motioned for me to leave. I than left quickly and quietly, feeling disappointed and shocked. I figured a fuse was blown since both lights rarely go out together. I went to a competitor that was close to my house to get the right fuses. The employees couldn't answer any questions and weren't really helpful. When I figured out the fuse wasn't the issue, I then went after new bulbs. I had the manual, I can read, I can follow instructions, but I could not get the headlight bulbs out. I drove to Napa, told the guy I needed bulbs but couldn't get them out. The employee found my bulbs and then came outside and helped me remove the bulbs. Whoever changed them last time placed them in slightly off so the clip holding the bulb assembly in place was stuck. I never would have been able to get them out and the Napa employee was able to do it after about 10 minutes of trying. He replaced the bulbs, the headlights worked, and I went on my merry way. I was so impressed by how nice and helpful the employee was that I spoke to his manager a few days later to relay the great service I received.

Went next day, was told "all electrical parts are finalized" no returns as I was not told when I was first there or is it on the receipt. I don't use in-stores anymore but decided I'll give it a shot, this is why online will kill in stores as they will return with 0 questions. $15 part online + guaranteed returns. This is exactly why I asked if they did returns and was told yes. $200 perfect working solenoid still in box now useless to me, brutal hit.

There have been two instances where there were missing parts (gaskets), one from a water pump and another from a fuel pump. With the water pump incident, the sales person got another water pump from the back and after inspecting that one, it clearly was installed on a vehicle (used) since the gasket was poorly adhered to the pump. Both of these instances happening within the last three months. The inventory in this location is a bit unreliable so I advise to inspect what you purchase before you leave the store. Besides that, NAPA does have quality parts.
