December 9, 2014 5:14pm Wow. I had a fantastic experience at Napa. Went here to get some coolant for our car, and it was a fast and pleasant experienced. I went in, looked for the coolant, couldn't find it at first so I asked the main worker there. He kindly showed me where it was and pointed out what other options I had. I said thank you, paid for the coolant, then he said have a nice day, and I said thank you, you too. Usually you can tell if a worker is 'sincere' or not: they would over-do their niceness or not be nice at all. But this guy, this guy had genuine niceness. I wish I got his name. My receipt shows Emp. 17, so employee 17, I give you my thanks. Thank you.

We started the car and all was well, then we forgot something in the house and turned the engine off and when we went to restart it the engine wouldn't start. Oh no!!!! Well we didn't want to be late so we took a different car. Thankfully we had 3 cars to choose from. Later that afternoon we went back home to tackle the car that wouldn't start. We packed all of our belongings for our trip home and went to start our car and it still wouldn't start. Thankfully we had a solo battery charger in our trunk so we whipped it out and jump started our battery and the engine roared to life. We next googled the closes O'Reilly and found this one on Monument Blvd just a few miles away. We zipped on over and parked right in front next to the other car with their hood up. We went inside and explained the situation to the sales person. He looked up and had our battery in stock. Next we went out to test our battery and yep it was a dead one. Our battery was purchased from O'Reilly back in Nov 2023 and the warrantee had just expired. Too bad. We went back inside and bought a new battery. There were several to choose from. We choose the gel one with a 4 year warrantee. He said if we loose the receipt not to worry as our purchase is on file. We all returned to the car and he installed the batter. For an extra $2 we bought some goop to put on the battery so the connections won't corrode. As it turns out the gentleman helping us has a daughter with the same make and model as us with the same amount of miles. What a coincidence. While we were having out batter installed 3 other people pulled up and were also having their batteries tested. They have a great business going on a Sunday afternoon. With the battery installed we were all set to hit the road again. Crossing our fingers that this one isn't a dud. We bought a battery for our other car last week and it was a dud. After a day the car wouldn't start again and it turns out the battery was a dud. It caused us so much undue stress. So beware lots of these batteries are not exactly new, but recharged and sold as new batteries. If there is a lot of stickers on the top of the battery you don't want it. For us this was a good experience. It's so nice that they will install the batteries for free and take the old one back to dispose of.

No probllem as i had done this 50 plus sets before. Well, the normal loop kind it turns out. This 2015 Ford Explorer had a metal nub on the end after I broke off a piece of plastic. I was in Ut-Oh land thinking I broke something. I spent 30 minutes trying to figure out as the rain increased by the minute. Off to Monument with much hope. Deborah, greeted me with a smile as I entered. I said I HOPE you can help. I explained the mid-evil wiper control arm. She removed the normal car install loop part and installed an entire new insert, and pulled out a part of that insert and quietly said its was ready for instal. I was still doubtful of this witchcraft and a happy ending. Deborah came outside and installed the first one explaining each step. She might as well had been speaking Swahili and I would've understood better. Luckily, seeing me deer in the headlight confusion, she also installed the second one. I had bought nothing from the store and she treated me like a Monument highroller. Excellent/outstanding customer service from her. I was beyond fortunate that she had the patience and knowledge to solve my Rubiks cube. This will be my go to place no doubt in the future. ( I'll call first and ask Deborah is working :)). Thank you Deborah for all your help you made me and my Unknowing client very happy. Deborah- 10 out of 10 stars!

The dealer kept blaming the problem on the installation of Wilwood Brake calipers. I thanked them for looking at the issue and had my car towed to "N Service, at the recommendation of my usual Miata shop, Frank and Paul's Auto Repair, who didn't have an appointment available and felt N Service was better qualified for this issue. At N Service, after a couple of days of exploration, they discovered that the master cylinder had developed crystals, probably from sitting all winter without driving. They replaced the master cylinder and the brake problem was resolved. I was so pleased with their work, communication, and paperwork that I subsequently commissioned them to perform an extensive pro-active maintenance event to celebrate my car's 25th birthday. Although the car only had 27,000 miles on it, I decide to do a thorough maintenance overview and to address future upcoming issues, i.e. Timing belt, tensioner, idler pulley, & water pump. They replaced the transmission and rear differential oil, fuel filter, and coolant. My highest respect for Mark and Jason. They kept me informed of their progress and when the job was finished, their documentation was superior to what I have experienced at most independent shops. Yes, I have triple AAA but there cost was well over $300 for my battery and installation. The store itself is pretty small, the battery selection was not that great and the shelves looked a bit empty. Definitely smells like an auto store. I was able to go on to their website and find the battery I needed at the right price. The cost was about $175 with a $20 deposit fee that was returned when I gave them my old battery. Since ordering it online, I thought it would be quicker. When I went to go pick it up, there was a mishap and it took the poor employee forever to find it. He went back in to the warehouse and looked for it, talked to other employees, and come to find out. It was on the shelf of the store..... I could have pulled it. Anyways, don't expect much. Come here for your car parts and leave. They definitely do not have any special parts you may need. They did advise me to head over to the dealership as it may be the only way to get this piece. Thanked him for the advice! There are a bunch of teenagers that work there so I'm not sure how knowledgeable they are about cars. But I can always be wrong.

My car was due for a filter/oil change which I've had done there before when there is a special. I downloaded a $99 coupon from Subaru website and Marcos said they would, of course, honor it. At the same time, I knew my rear brakes needed replacing. I recently was told by a trusted mechanic that they were down to 5mm and I could go a bit longer. Subaru told me they were 2 or 3 mm and needed replacing. I was quoted ~$675. After some logic reasoning I said to go ahead. The day before I was to pick up the Marcos called me and said the rotors needed grinding. I was already worried they would find something to pin extra fees on so I said no to the rotors. He did not say or confirm if I still wanted the brakes done. I only said no to the rotors and the extra $$. When I picked up the car the next day, they hadn't done the brakes and he hadn't honored the $99 oil/filter coupon! I contacted S.O.A. (Subaru of America) and was given a ticket #. I was contacted by a Rep from S.O.A. and explained my frustration. He told me to call Kevin Parker at Diablo Subaru and he'd address my grievances. I left KP two VMM and let SOA know I KP hadn't returned my calls. On my third attempt I was put directly through to KP. He apologized for the lack of communication, and offered to refund me full fee for the oil/filter change, $152.00 I was only requesting the difference. He said it would take a few days to show up on my Visa, and if I hadn't received it within a week to call him back. I waited two weeks without a refund, left him a VM, and left him another VM last week. No response. I reached out to my S.O.A. Rep and he was suppose to f/u with KP.
