My dad purchased new headlight bulbs for me here last week. When we put them in, I didn't feel like they were bright enough for me (I have bad vision lol) so he contacted S P for an exchange and the service was honestly impeccable. They ordered new, brighter bulbs for us. My dad was very pleased with the customer service and what they stand for which he is saying something because he's very hard to please lol. Don and Jim were awesome. I walked right in and was greeted by Jim. I asked if he could come out and test my battery. He stopped what he was doing and said I'll be right out. Came out with the tester, I explained what was going on. I thought it was the battery or ALT. After a short discussion we agreed it was the battery and needed a new one. Walked back in got the battery, they let me use some tools so I could change it. I was outside for a couple of minutes and Don came out to check on me. I spoke to Ray this am (8/1/16) looking for a specific Chevy truck part. He was so helpful on the phone, (and I had to call more than once to make sure I was giving him accurate information). He said he would do some research and get back to me, which he did after he located what I needed. Even though SP did not have the part , he referred me to a local dealer where I could pick it up. This is by far the best customer service I can recall receiving. I went to check my battery which I purchased from S&P about a year ago because it wasn't holding a charge. They checked my battery and it was good but needed to be recharged. Ray sent someone to my house to pick up my battery and take it to a shop to be charged and ran a complimentary diagnostic test on the battery and charging system. Ray has gone above and beyond in helping me contact other resources to trouble shoot what is going on with my lemon of a Jetta. Honest people and great service. read more

This place is nothing like a regular auto parts store. It's so much better! The people are nice and very helpful which I never seem to find when I go to many other auto parts stores. I usually end up unhappy and feeling like I paid too much for whatever I bought. I've been here twice and both times I've had remarkable service and friendly greetings. Today I went to another auto parts store and got the usual unhappy feeling when they told me they couldn't help me. After leaving, I stopped by here and spent a few hours at the store while they tried to help me with what I thought was a wire issue. When I first went there they needed to find out where the wire grounded but didn't have the diagrams so they decided to call and have the diagram faxed to the store. When the fax machine was not working, they didn't give up, they ended up having the book which specified my exact make and model sent to the shop! After no help from this book either, they then used another resource and had their personal mechanic sent to the store to help me. He quickly and easily figured out the problem and sent me on my way. I really enjoyed how helpful the staff at sp were and even when they had tons of phone calls and people entering and exiting they still took the time to help me in any way they were able. It was a pleasant experience which I will consider for later visits. I recommend this place for anyone who is tired of getting bad service. read more

WORST CUSTOMER "SERVICE" E V E R !! I'm disabled, and parking close to ANY door is a good thing. I ride a motorcycle, because it's more comfortable than my car (go figure!) anyway, I parked close to their door. After I got off the bike, an employee came to the door. He is the 'stout' one, with salt/pepper hair, parted near the middle.... "You gotta move that over there!" (Pointing across the parking area.... by the way... no lines, no disabled parking, just an open lot) There was no 'please', no 'thank you, no 'kiss my ....' well, he continued. "A guy tripped over a bike that was parked there." He turned and went back into the store. I, of course couldn't resist a comment.... "Jeez, you'd think he could have been a little nicer, distance walking is hard for me." He apparently heard that..... (just wait, it gets better....) I got back on the bike, and moved it away from their door area.... so no one would "trip over it".. (my bike is an Interstate 1300, and not a small bike that anyone would miss, much less "trip over"...) I went into the store, and on to the counter. One guy was busy with a customer, so, of course, I'd get the one with an attitude. "Whadda yuh want?" he asked (Ever so politely - not) "I'm looking for brake pads for a 2000 Dodge Grand Caravan." (Exasperated now....."what engine??" He wants to know... "3 point 3, or 4.0?" I hesitated, not sure, and out loud I stammered, "Ahh, not sure......" "SO - I SUPPOSE YOU WANT ME TO GUESS??" I stopped at this point, seeing that this was going into the toilet real fast............. I started.... "Maybe you could use a better attitude....." I suggested. That's about as far as I got before he started YELLING AT ME (from behind the protection of the counter) I'm disabled, but not unable to take it physical if needed. (Besides, I had my cane, and I'm a U.S.Marine Viet Nam Veteran - all I REALLY wanted to say was, "Bring it, Asshole" but discretion IS the better part of Valor) He continued to interrupt (Yelling) when I tried to speak...... I elected to De-esclate the situation.....I left him standing there - still yelling... Duhh. and just as I was pulling out..... An S.P. delivery truck pulled in.... Fortune does favor the few... I asked the driver of the whereabouts of the Owner of S.P Auto, and lucky me... (it wasn't far from the store) So I took the time to visit with the Owner of S.P. ( as a large distribution warehouse ) He came to the counter, ID'd himself when I asked for the Owner..... Really nice guy. Listened to my horror story about one of his employees, and all he could say was: "It will be dealt with". I hope he does something, like getting rid of a "BAD APPLE", who might go on to spoil the rest of the guys working for S.P. Auto Parts.
