Came here on Friday night with my daughters. There was plenty of parking. No hostess to greet people. Had to look for someone to inquire where to sit. If it does not say reserved , it is open seating outside or in the patio. Not a lot of people but it was a little chilly. (Bring a jacket if you come for dinner). There are QR codes assigned to each table to place order. I have a iphone 15 but was having a difficult time ordering. A lot of things loaded slowly including the pictures of entrees and the order button. Surprisingly there was no wi fi here. I had a difficult time ordering but it could be my phone. 1 Buffalo Cauliflower $14.00 1 Cheeseburger $18.00 1 Lemonade $4.00 1 Kalau Pork Sandwich $16.00 Food comes quickly. Not a lot of people so expect not a lot of service. The buffalo cauliflower were large pieces. Not very spicy though. Still we couldn't finish it and took it home. My daughter ordered the cheeseburger and it came with chips. The first thing she said was it is mostly bun. I was a little dissatisfied with my Kalau Pork Sandwich and chips. No sauce or dressing so it was really bland. Same can be said for the no salt no seasoning potato chips. I would say it would be a great place to come during the day for drinks. Very cool place! I imagine this place is really hopping in the evenings and during the summer. There were heat lamps in case anybody got cold and the place was very clean. The turf grass is a nice touch and the art is really cool. We thought the food was great, especially the truffle fries, pretzel, and cheeseburgers. Good range of drinks as well. But the best part was that the staff absolutely adored our dogs and even had treats in their pockets for them! It's very dog friendly. read more

Very disappointed. Went last Fri eve- granted, they had a private event and it was busy. Ordered a salad, appetizer and 2 entrees. 1 entree and the app came out first. The ceasar salad came about 10 mins later. We asked about my entree- server didn't know. It finally came about 10 mins later. My husband finished his entree way before mine came. I asked a server what could we do next time so salad and apps came first and both entrees came together. He said he didn't know. My husband asked for a mgr and was told they would come. They never did. We found out later there was only 1 mgr on duty who was bartending. Fair enough- but let us know that. As we left, the hostess asked how things went. We told her. She said the server should have been able to advise us how we could get food in the right order and said she'd let the mgr know and maybe they could comp something from the bill. Never heard any feedback. I tipped despite the poor service but I honestly don't think we'll go back. Unfortunate as we've enjoyed the Yard in the past. P.S. Really cool outdoor, casual beer garden in Napa! The space is beautiful and large, right next to Napa River. There is plenty of seating and also fun bar games like cornhole. I came in the middle of a Sunday afternoon by myself and only had one beverage, no food. It was a nice experience. I ordered the Smash du Jour from the bar and found a quiet seat under a tree overlooking the water. The Smash was a bourbon drink with plums from their orchard, very refreshing! The bartender was friendly and quick. If I'm ever in the area again, I would happily come back! read more

Went on a trivia night and the host went out of his way to bring in contentious and profanity laden politics. Everybody has their political views, I get that but to take that and thrust in the face of people just looking to relax and have a few drinks is distasteful. The drinks themselves were ok, I had a Sow Fashioned and a Chamomile tea drink that reminded me of an Hot Toddy. Neither was good enough to overcome the bad environment and the cussing about politics from a business sponsored event was easily enough to make me never want to come back. read more

Invited to a private party at the Napa Yard and it was my first time visiting the place. It's across from the Oxbow on the far side of the parking lot. It's a big outdoor facility, mostly known as a beer garden. The service was excellent and the food was great. They served great smoked wings, as well as traditional Buffalo wings. Live music on the weekends and plenty of space if you prefer a spot a little more quiet. read more

Came here for the miracle pop-up bar which had such cute decorations, but the food was pretty bad. I got the pretzel which was super salty so I ended up scraping off all the salt. Don't get the brisket, it tasted like it was microwaved. It was so dry that I needed to wash it down with water. The Cole slaw was so sour and vinegar-y that it wasn't edible. My friends got the Mac and cheese which they didn't finish and we were just disappointed overall. The pop-up bar is super cute, and we mostly came here for the Christmas decorations so if you want to come just for photos and drinks, by all means. Otherwise, would pass if you're hungry. Don't come here for the food. I don't have high expectations for bar food but the food here really isn't good. I had the carnitas tacos one time. The were cold and dry. The second time I came back (yes I wanted to see if it was a one off night) I ordered the nachos. Well you know when you put shredded cheese that isn't really meant for melting on chips and microwave them for too long and the cheese forms a solid crust shell on the chips??? Yeah. I went to pull a chip off and it was all stuck together like crazy glue. I had to chisel away at the chips to free them from the cheese crusted shell. I'm guessing they microwave everything here. So for Napa food standards I give this a zero. Heck I give this a zero for any cities food standards. BUT the service was fine and the beer was semi cold. Just don't come for the food. read more

One of my new favorite hang outs in Napa!! Perfect fall vibes. Note it is all outside! They have heaters but I would still come prepared with the cooler weather we've been having. They have three different seating sections. One is most like a restaurant with table service. The next is open seating and lastly there are some fire pits in a more open area. Food/drinks: cocktails were delicious! Decent beer selection. When seated, you can order on your phone which makes it easy! We ordered the truffle fries (heavenly) and the Buffalo cauliflower. It was tasty but the cauliflower pieces were slightly too large for my taste. Each one had to be cut into at least 4 pieces (maybe healthier since it's less breading). Lastly we got the fig and goat cheese tart. The goat cheese part was delicious, but the figs tasted a little off. When we entered, there was a stand with a man selling local honey. He let us try a few flavors for free and it was very tasty! I meant to purchase some after dinner but he had already left. I will definitely be back to enjoy the fire pits some more! Hands down the best spot in Napa! Whether you are looking to catch a sports game, lunch and a beer, or happy hour! Great for date night or bring the whole family! The location is an experience between the gardens, different sitting areas and being located right on the river where you'll often see the singing Gondola man paddling his guests around. The hospitality, service and genuine sincereness of the staff eludes the pretentiousness that can often come with Napa. We stumbled upon this fine establishment because we needed a place to park and man what a gem! The ambiance is excellent with a lot of nice outdoor seating and it is dog friendly as well. The servers were nice and all the food we had was tasty. The wings, fries, burgers and more were great. Due to my work responsibilities I have visited Napa a few times per year in the past 10 years. I have winded and dined in many places in Napa and have visited several local breweries. This time, I wanted to try something new. Yelp showed me Napa Yard. The pictures and reviews and the beer selection tempted me to try this place. I went there at 6:30 PM. I ordered two types of beers and carnitas tacos. The under staffed (Hispanic looking) manager gave me my number without any instructions and my beers. I found a place to sit and waited for 15 ten 20 and then 30 minutes and my food didnt show up. I went to the bartender/manager and inquired about my food. He said "someone should come to you." The line was long, he was taking care of other customers all by himself and looked irritable and serious. I said "Ok" and went back to my table. I waited for another 15-20 minutes and my food still didnt show up. I went back to the bartender/kitchen area, approached him and said "I have been waiting for 40 minutes and nobody has brought me my food." He said "can you get out of here please. Please get out of here." There was a line of customers and he raised his voice and told everyone to move to the right as if he was having a personal problem with the poor customers. I told him I wanted my money back and without hesitation and angrily processed my money back." The "understaffed, angry, probably underpaid Hispanic looking manager wearing a gray T-shirt having short hair that was combed down, with lazy right eye was very unprofessional and confused humans with cattle. I do not recommend beering and hanging out in this place as long as this angry doud works there. I do not appreciate his unprofessional attitude and poor customer service. read more

What a perfect addition to the Oxbow/Downtown area! Aesthetic - 10/10 100% outside with covered portions for the occasional CA rain (was actually raining the day I went ironically). Tons of seating options from nice sit down tables to around-the-firepit to picnic table style. Perfect opportunity to bring the kiddos and let them run around. Staff - 7/10 Basically non-existent as all of your ordering is done through an online ordering system on your phone but whenever we did see them/speak with them, they were very nice and helpful! Our Order: - Bonanza Cabernet - Pretty good, not dry at all. Easy drinker! - Roasted Beets & Burrata - Super tasty and so many beets! My only criticism is I wish they had the multi-colored beets to liven up the dish but hey, who am I to complain! - Veggie Sandwich - So delicious and filling! I visited Napa yard after work with some coworkers. The ambiance was really nice but the food was just eh. The appetizers were definitely better than main course dishes like the BLT and chicken sandwich. There was an entire half of an uncut avocado on the BLT and the chicken sandwich had a lot of sauce. Everything is ordered via QR code so we didn't really have much service in person other than the waiters that delivered the food. The live music is fun! Such a welcome addition to Napa! It is so nice to have a casual, family friendly spot in Napa. No frills, no pretension - just a night spot to slide up to a picnic table or take a seat at the bar, grab a drink and a bite and catch up with friends. Have kids? This is a great spot. The space in the back lets the kids run around and play while adults can catch up. The staff was super friendly and drinks and food came out quickly. This location gave us access to a covered reception area and covered harvest tables, located between the lovely gardens and overlooking the Napa River. The setting was perfect! For our event, we hosted soft drinks, wine, appetizers and the Roasted Pig. Napa Yard dedicated a bartender, chef and 2 friendly staff to serve our guests. This place reminded me of the beer gardens in Europe! Open, family friendly, picnic, and regular tables. Some outdoor games. Separate bar area. Menu isn't huge and you order on a phone app (can see how this would be confusing for some). Food was fresh, Fish tacos were really good! Not sure how they will manage in the winter since it's all outdoors? Parking is free and right there (a big deal since parking can be tough around the Oxbow market).
