The ambiance is pleasant and calm. The menu has plenty of options. Like most sushi bars, it is immaculately clean.

Everything about this place exceeded our expectations. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated, clean, and thoughtfully designed. It feels upscale without being stuffy, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting from the moment you walk in. We started with the crab rangoons and then ordered five sushi rolls: the Creamy & Crispy Roll, Crunchy Crab Roll, Black Dragon Roll, Hawaii Roll, and the Volcano Roll with spicy tuna. Every single roll was fantastic. Not "some were better than others" fantastic. Not "we found a favorite and tolerated the rest" fantastic. We genuinely loved every roll that came to the table. The Volcano Roll with spicy tuna was my personal favorite and an easy 10/10, but honestly there wasn't a single thing we ordered that we wouldn't get again. The presentation deserves its own mention. The rolls were beautifully plated, complete with gorgeous edible flowers and thoughtful garnishes that made everything look almost too pretty to eat. Service was excellent. The food came out surprisingly quickly, but not all at once. Instead, the rolls arrived in small groups, which actually made the experience even better because we could enjoy each one before the next arrived. For two people, five specialty rolls and crab rangoons came to about $80, which is completely reasonable and honestly pretty standard for quality sushi. We will absolutely be back, and we've already started recommending Hills to Sea to friends and family. If you're a sushi lover in Lancaster County, put this place on your list immediately.

The crab rangoons are my favorite - delicious crab filling and excellent outside crunch. The vegetable stir fry - add chicken and make it SPICY! The best - of course with a side of white rice. I could have that comforting ramen dish every single week, it's THAT good. The beef chunks were also very tender and not at all dry. Was pretty cool to see okonomiyaki on the menu as well - we split it between two of us as an appetizer. Although I don't live nearby, I'd love any excuse to return and try more yummy looking offerings from their menu.

Noodle Shack is located in a shopping center so there is ample parking available. During my first visit, I had the pleasure to try takoyaki for the first time. These soft, pillowy octopus fritters garnished with sauce and bonito flakes that danced as they reacted to the heat we're as exciting to try as they were delicious. Upon entry today I was quickly seated and was one of two occupied tables in the dining room. The waiter came over and took my order of Zhanjiangmian. My previewed the menu online beforehand so I already knew what I was going to order. The interior of the restaurant is spacious, clean and cozy. Not long after I place my order I got my food. Zhanjiang is a fermented soybean paste and to make the dish pork and mushrooms are added to make the sauce. To my delight, I was welcomed with a warm and savory noodle dish packed with umami that just seemed perfect for this cold weather. The dish itself does not come spicy so I requested a side of chili oil which I used had some heat and this just amplified how tasty this dish was. I was pleased with my order and would definitely eat this dish again. My only complaint about today's experience, which is a pet peeve of mine, is when the server places the check on the table before I am finished eating. Fortunately, most establishments don't follow this protocol. And although it is my only complaint I do not feel this would prevent me from going back try more of their menu.

It's expensive compared to other hibachi restaurants, no reason to throw zucchini pieces at me instead of shrimp. Now it's soup or salad instead of both. Service was good and place is pretty clean. But when Masa arrived, it changed the whole town's dynamic. MIkura was basically banished into the nether realm. Their hibachi tables are way too cramped. If your two favorite things are the wise-cracking, egg-balancing-on-the-spatula, cheery on the outside but everyone knows is depressed on the inside hibachi chef and claustrophobia, then this place is for you. Tokyo has been the king for the longest time, but Masa is a true powerhouse in its own right. It's fairly obvious the scales are tipping in Masa's favor these days, for if you were to ask an acquaintance about where they'd like to go for your pre-arranged sushi lunch that you had planned for weeks and miraculously neither of you bailed, nearly every time that person would say Masa. Speaking of lunch, the specials here are what keep me coming back. Three rolls for $13, hibachi combos (i.e. chicken, veggies, fried rice, soup) also for $13, and their Lunch Wok & Grill Platters (protein, Cali roll, dumpling, rice, and soup) for $12. Bonkers. There are still good deals out there, just gotta know where to look. The hibachi experience is top notch. Here you get a proper amount of space, heck, you might even go as far to say an abundance. And that's how it should be. Lots of room, not cramped up next to the other tables, where you get splattered from their oil and feel the burn from their onion volcanos. Must say, I quite dig this place. For the life of me I can't think of a single thing I dislike. Bravo, Masa, you are now the king of hibachi in Reading, PA.
