My fiancé and I tried the spot last week. The place wasn't busy at all, plenty of staff but no service. When we finally got our table, we were welcomed by not a single server, but a giant disgusting spider. Gross. We waited another 15 minutes and still nobody came to take our drink order. We left. I have to say this is probably the worst yellow curry I have ever had... It was edible but no flavor what so ever. It was super thick, couldn't taste any of the coconut milk nor the yellow curry paste it was all just kind of bland and tasteless. pretty much just huge chunks of potatoes with onions and like 3 pieces of chicken. Also what Thai restaurant doesn't have the spice level option for their curry. Very disappointed.. The service was okay I guess. One of the server dropped a sweet and sour sauce bowl at another table and the sauce came flying all over me. She walked away and didn't even bother cleaning the mess on the floor or the chair that was next to me. If you guys are coming to have their curry I wouldn't. I was super disappointed. The duck was so dry and smothered in overly sweet sauce, like out of a bottle. The chicken satay, also dry. It seemed like they were possibly old and reheated. They lacked flavor. The peanut sauce tasted like it turned, otherwise it's just not a peanut sauce I find tasty. I ordered a dessert but they didn't call to let me know they were out and instead sent me fried banana egg rolls. Which I'd rather be refunded especially since it too looked gross and didn't taste well. The white rice- . The cucumber relish was the only thing I thought was decent. I genuinely don't know how this place has 4 stars. I took a bite of every item and then tossed it. Even felt kinda nauseous after those few bites. straight to trash. So this is a mixed review. My wife and I order from Nara Thai about once every 2 weeks. The food is good. Unfortunately, every 3rd or 4th time, they will forget something you ordered (rice, appetizer, etc..). This happened to me tonight where they didn't include the rice for my curry. I called them to let them know of the mistake, and the managers suggestion was for me to drive up to the store and they would give me my rice. So...I had just paid a delivery driver because I didn't want to go out, and her suggestion to resolve the issue of not including my rice was for me to drive up there and then return home to cold food at that point. Hmmm, that makes no sense. Really, there was not a good answer because I wasn't going to wait 30-45 mins for them to deliver it either. On previous occasions they offered me a free app the next time I ordered, or 1/2 off my entree next time, but this time it was just 'come pick it up'. Point is, the food is good but there is a chance they will miss something from your order if you have it delivered and the customer service at that point is hit or miss. If you are going to pick it up or dine in, then I would recommend. If deliver, good luck. read more

We had the. Best. Thai here last night. This location has been several different Thai restaurants but Nara Thai is raising the bar for Thai in not only Cypress but all of Houston. Their curry puffs were phenomenal but the real star was the popular pad Thai. It had such a rich flavor and is our new fave over other cypress staples like Bangkok Bistro or Upthai. We also tried the beef massaman curry and enjoyed the beef was like a slow stewed roast. We can't wait to go back and try the sushi menu which is something new to us at Thai restaurants! Also I gotta call out the 5 star service. We had a great dinner here because the servers were so polite, we had two people bowing throughout the meal and it was a really nice and sweet staff. read more

Great experience thru Grubhub while the price was a little high it truly is a small price in these Covid times. The delivery was good, timing reasonable but the food was fantastic. The packaging of one dish, a delicious heavy sauced shrimp dish poured into tin and folded over could have been better done. However I was not disappointed with the food. We started with the fresh spring rolls. The peanut sauce and sweet and sour sauce were fresh and delicious. The Chicken Pad Thai was great as well, sweet and spicy. We had the roast duck pad Thai and the meat was cut and prepared very well the spice was a great level and the sprouts and carrots were a crunchy refresher between bites.
