I have eaten food from this place, sandwiches, chicken, mussels, desserts, and was happy. Today on a Wednesday I picked up some desserts to take home. They were all clearly not fresh and been sitting there a few days. Not much flavor either! I realized I ate there on a Friday and Saturdays when the food is more likely fresh - I walked around the store and stations and clearly could see there was not much to see, or admire in the display cases. A huge difference from when I was there in the past. So do I recommend this place - on a Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday probably not Friday Saturday Sunday I think you will be ok maybe not. What a huge disappointment. Ambiance is stunning too bad that is the only good thing. Good and service were terrible. Spaghetti with clams had 8 clams and had no flavor whatsoever. A "MUST EAT HERE " restaurant and food market. I went last night with a group of about 15 people , the restaurant did not fail on any of the dishes. We had appetizers, entrees and their private label wine. The ambience is exquisite and nothing I've seen before . The manager of the restaurant was so friendly and so knowledgeable about each dish. I took his suggestions and they were all new tastes to me. One of the ways men at our table is attending the cordon bleu now in Europe, . Had lunch at the Narbona in Miami the day before so decided to try out breakfast at this location. Beautiful location with a lot going on - deli, retail store, tables, counter seating, etc. Had a cortado and a bao eggs Benedict. Wasn't really a fan of the East meets west type combination. We had a dinner reservation for three at 8:15 pm on a Wednesday night and it was my wife's birthday. The place certainly didn't have a restaurant look and feel, especially a place that one would spend $50 per person excluding drinks and taxes! Ambience was poor, service was mediocre, and the kitchen closed at 9pm. It would have helped to know that in advance and we probably would have picked a different place. We didn't get to choose from a dessert menu and it was only 5 min after 9 - again the server could have told us the kitchen closed at 9. We had to walk up to the gelato counter and get desserts in to-go cups! And no one - not the greeter and not even the server asked if this was a special occasion. We ended up spending $200+ before tips and would not be coming back. It just seems like a grossly overpaid cafe in a fine-dining disguise. Me and a friend had brunch nearby and wanted to check this place out as it used to be Joseph's. We thought it was another Italian marketplace but wow were we surprised. It's more of a sit down establishment with many places to sit. They have tables in the center, a bar in the back with sushi and a front coffee bar where you can also order wine. There is also a market. I purchased sandwich's de miga and empanadas which are an Argentine cuisine in my mind. The woman said the head chef is from Argentina and there are lots of Uruguay foods as well. I will definitely be back to check out the coffee bar and have breakfast there. FLAWLESS is the only way to describe Narbona! My family was on a college tour and it was recommended from a professor. Everything we ate was so flavorful, fresh, and we did not wait long. The atmosphere is perfect... you're able to walk around and see their handmade pasta, empanadas, pastries, in house ground meat, cheese etc. on display. The pappardelle was hands down the most heavenly pasta I've ever eaten. Our server was the sweetest lady and kept up with every wim even though it was only her SECOND day!! For dessert we got a slice of Rogel and Pavlova and I wish I had room for more. Anyways I completely recommend it is just the greatest hidden gem! read more

Oh...my...god. this place is delicious. You know when you go to South America or Europe and the quality of the food is amazing? That is what this restaurant is like. You can eat in the restaurant, shop a little, get a coffee or a dessert and the gelato is perfection. I honestly haven't had a meal this good in a while. Went for lunch and it was ok. Service less than stellar:( Tried dinner last night and waiter was horrible, food was rushed out in five minutes or less like it was prepared prior, and it was not good. Fish (branzino) was dry, and tuna poke bowl was disappointing. The waiter was unavailable, unaware and can you believe after I put in coffee order he told me they were out of biscotti. We arrived a bit early as we had to be somewhere else by 6:30. Despite being seated in a nearly empty restaurant it took about 15 minutes for the waiter to arrive at our table. We opted to have a bread basket and found the tops of all the rolls to be dried out (after our meal we walked around the market in the restaurant and saw several bread baskets sitting under warming lamps, mystery solved). My wife and I split a garden pizza that despite arriving promptly at our table, was barely warm. I'm guessing the crust was made ahead of time and they put toppings on it and popped it in the oven for a few minutes instead of cooking the whole pizza to order. We also split an octopus appetizer. The octopus was delicious, but the "fingerling" potatoes that came with it appeared to simply be larger potatoes that were cut up into irregular sizes and the larger pieces were not fully cooked. I had take home from Narbona with mixed results. The Empanadas are fantastic and reheated well in a toaster oven. I also liked the meatballs. I normally love eggplant, but didn't enjoy the take-home eggplant parm. Tonight I ate in the restaurant and the food was excellent! I ordered the NY strip steak medium rare (it was cooked perfectly) and substituted a sweet potato for the fries. I also asked for a side of the chimichurri. It came with a side salad dressed with balsamic and oil. Everything on my plate was delicious! The waitress and bus boy were very attentive and accomodating. My friend ordered the mixed seafood pasta. The waitress believed it came with calamari, clams and shrimp, but it arrived with mussels, clams and shrimp. My friend wasn't happy with the substitution, so the manager, Enzo, brought over a large portion of calamari for her. He also gave us both a scoop of Gelato on the house, which was very sweet, and he really didn't need to do that since he'd brought her the calamari. The Gelato is delicious and was a great end to our meal. I brought home the short rib and ground beef enchiladas for lunch tomorrow. I will absolutely be back to try other dishes. read more

Today I had the pleasure of trying out this new restaurant before it opens to the public. I enjoyed everything from the moment that I arrived. I ordered the steak which was cooked perfectly. It was juicy and tender. I also ordered mimosas which was good, not too much orange juice and for dessert, I order the Tiramisu. It was delicious! We were in search of a new Boca spot for a coffee and a pastry. A friend recommended Narbona; we were up for a change. We have a small dog, so we sat outside; very cute. We each ordered a coffee and a pastry to share. The coffee was very good and the almond croissant was full of almond paste and perfectly baked. We inquired about a refill for coffee and were told by our very accommodating waiter that they don't do refills, nor do they do a discounted price for a refill; that's sad and wrong! We shared an omelette; very good with a side salad. I would have given five stars but with the coffee issue and no toilet paper in either of the women's bathroom's; a three star is the best I can give. To sum it up; price, food and service were very good; but they need to adjust the small details. We're not sure we'll be back. If we do return; we'll get our coffee next door first at Starbucks. read more

Part market and part restaurant makes the atmosphere unique but pretty. I enjoyed the skirt steak which was prepared to a perfect medium rare as requested. Bronzino was also a hit at the table. No liquor license, beer and wine only. There is a sufficient selection of reds but only one white, a Sauvignon Blanc. Service was very good and management checked in on us as well. We were celebrating my birthday and someone brought in an outside cake. I was surprised that they were so accommodating since they have their own bakery. Love this Gem in Boca Center. Was there twice this week. All appetizers were delicious. The mussels were fresh and done right, Burrata creamy and amazing and a must is the short rib empanada.
