We ordered through Seemless and had it delivered from the Danbury location. We got it when it was promised. The buffalo chicken was really good. I removed all the extras from mine to basically get the chicken and cheese. Next time I would get it on a cheese bread instead of the regular. Because it was delivered, it wasn't as hot as I would like. I popped it in the toaster for 2 minutes and problem solved. I have not had that issue when I'm in the store. The positive of delivery is that you don't have to leave your house, the negative is the food is never as warm as you would like. I will probably still order home delivery again.

Good, but nowhere near as good as it used to be. When I first discovered Nardelli's Grinder Shoppe while living in New York City, I was in love. Anytime we would be traveling through Connecticut I would make a point of going out of my way in order to stop at a Nardelli's location. After moving out of the area, I was back for the first time in several years, and I couldn't wait. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. The staff seemed a bit disinterested in helping customers, and weren't on point the way I had always experienced in the past. We had to repeat details of our order a couple of times before they got to work on our food. As I had almost always done, I got the BBQ Rib Grinder. This time it was just OK, whereas in the past it made my day and made me want to return as soon as possible. Not as much flavor, and they forgot the hot sauce. I also got a macaroni salad, and it was just OK. Unfortunately, based on this experience I clearly don't need to go out of my way to find a Nardelli's when I'm in the area, and will likely just opt to find something new in the area next time instead.

I have been going to this location for several years. It's more expensive then subway but generally the food is better quality. So this is my lunchtime review of my recent takeout order. I ordered it online and showed up about 40 minutes later to pick it up. I ordered a half chicken cutlet grinder and half Italian grinder. I also ordered potato salad. Service - this is the weakest grade they revived from me. This is reflective of numerous orders. It seems to me if you allow online ordering you would not subject your customers who order online to wait in the general line and receive their food colder or/and later then they should. Right? Not here, they make you wait and then have an attitude as if your bothering them to pick your food up. So they get 1 Star here for service. I don't appreciate rude service, don't roll your eyes at customers.. seriously. Chicken cutlet grinder: This was the best I have had in the surrounding area. Food was fresh, properly cooked, however it was colder then it should have due to my extended wait. 4 out of 5 Italian grinder: This was also the best I have had in the surrounding area. Food was fresh, properly prepared. 5 out of 5 Potato salad: This was above average for the area. Tasted ok but was not seasoned as well as I would have preferred. 3 out of 5 So the food is really good. If you can handle a poor queue process and at times rude staff it's worth the cost and wait. The experience here reminds me of the Seinfeld episode many decades ago with the soup "nazi" where the food was awesome but the person behind the counter not so nice. So far it's worth it...

You can give your Chiwawa a baked pastrami with everything, but that doesn't mean you should.

Steve who was working Friday night provided answers to every question I had including on recreating the porchetta my in-laws would do every Thanksgiving. I needed to find a butcher who could get me a fresh ham, remove the bone, and remove the fat cap but keep it in tact so I could wrap the pork back in it after seasoning. He said they could do it all but also discussed options if I wanted to do a 6 lb porchetta vs a 20+ pounder. He even gave me a history lesson on the Boston pork butt. I then started with questions on beef short plate ribs and rib roasts and chuck eye. Well after talking about marbling on the long short ribs in the case (not the Littles usually in super markets) I bought two for dinner on Saturday. I smoked them for about 6 hours. They were so tender and delicious. By far much cheaper than most BBQ places that charge $50 per rib. My friend, John, who shops there often picked up a a pot roast for saturday dinner. He said it was like butter. So if you get a chance stop in and pick up some meat or house made hot dogs or sweet and hot italian sausage.

Customers were coming in to pick up their meat orders. The deli area offers a variety of cold and hot sandwiches, salads, sides. Great selection. I ordered a roast beef and Swiss on a hard roll, with coleslaw and horseradish sauce. It was fantastic! The meat was flavorful and plentiful and that homemade slaw added a great little kick. They also have baked breads and goodies. I left with a sourdough bread and a choc chip cookie. There are some tables outside to eat. They also sell unwashed, unrefrigerated chicken eggs from a local farm. So great! I did buy these, but somehow they didn't make it into my bag which I did not discover until I got home, but other than that, service was super friendly and helpful. So refreshing to have quality customer service. The store is well organized, nicely decorated, and extremely clean. I recommend a stop in and I will make a point to return as soon as possible.
